Seolganghwa: Episode #1.7 (2022)
When I thought it can't get any sadder...
Usually, the intensity of some drama is quite stagnant in middle episodes, but Snowdrop is only getting more and more intense. New surprises are coming each episodes and in this particular episode, I realize how each scene is crafted carefully and thoughtfully; making the 90 minutes watch time worth every second. There is one scene where action meets romance and it is beautifully blended and was the highlight of this episode for me. Also, shoutout to the music team, they're doing an excellent job!
Seolganghwa: Episode #1.6 (2022)
An explosion of emotion and plot intensity
The story plot is a masterpiece, the way each episode is a build up to a more intense following episode. As we meet closer to other characters, the story gets even more interesting (and darker 😭 I miss cheerful Young Ro running around happily in the dorm). One of the best scene is how the female protagonist (Young Ro) stands up for what is right, to sacrifice on behalf of her friends. And acting-wise, the actress, Jisoo who played Young-ro, delivers the emotions very well. Many actresses avoid to show intense emotions, but Jisoo does it fearlessly, resulted in a very intense heartbreaking yet inspiring moment in this episode.
Seolganghwa: Mr. Eun's daughter (2021)
A heartbreak!
This episode is intense, the plot progresses in a direction that you don't expect. I must applaud the writer for this! The romance between Young Ro and Suho is turning into a new chapter; though it was heartbreaking but it doesn't fail to make my heart flutters. I wonder how their love story will evolve from this!
Seolganghwa: Who's Young Ro's father? (2021)
Jisoo exceeds my expectations!
It's apparent that since first episode that Jisoo, although she's a rookie, does really well in her acting debut. But in this episode, she really surprises me. Her acting is subtle but deliver the emotions very well. I don't want to give spoiler but this episode really like a turning point of the drama; it is cheerful for first 3 episodes but in this 4th one, you can tell that the plot is really not linear. Very interesting!
Seolganghwa: The Escape (2021)
My heart flutters
The love story between Young Ro and Suho is gentle. Young Ro is innocent and the Suho seems to have something else in mind; but you can tell that they're falling for each other. The bike scene is my favorite, the dialogue is a masterpiece and how they turn a heartbreak into a heart-fluttering moment is phenomenal. Love this story!
Seolganghwa: My Brother (2021)
Thriller and humor blends well!
Now the story gets more interesting and serious but somehow they manage to lighten up the mood with witty humors. The chemistry between Young Ro (Jisoo) and Suho (Jung Hae In) is apparently strong. The story is captivating but what makes me excited is the characters, especially Young Ro. She's adorable but also strong-willed and a risk taker. Jisoo did really well bringing the character to live!
Seolganghwa: The Group Blind Date (2021)
It's a movie quality but make it 16 episodes
Every scenes is carefully made. Episode 1 is entertaining and it gives a very bright vibes, just like Young-Ro. Jisoo, who plays Young-Ro, does really well! She makes me fall in love with her character.
