This movie was the worst Christmas movie that I've seen in awhile. Abigail, the lead female, was immature and downright unlikeable. I saw her smile twice I think. She's mad at the world, miserable with her life and blaming everyone else for her own mistakes and choices. It isn't believable that any man with self worth would pursue her.

The baker character is cute, and the friend that tried to call her out for being rude but wasn't near harsh enough. By the end, I was hoping it turned into a murder mystery.

The town was cute. Baldwin was a nice surprise. The story had potential. It just couldn't overcome that character.

The main character is controlled by her emotions - the type that shoots herself in the foot stating pride but it's ego and immaturity. It makes it painful to watch. The supporting characters are great but not enough to make up for the horrible writing of the main character.

I enjoyed the music and the Dad/daughter dynamic. I didn't feel any chemistry between the main characters. It felt like she felt she'd get cooties from touching him. Both nice characters who can gain from their friendship but more than friendship felt forced.

To add; I see many reviews speaking on the racial items here. I personally love seeing so many ethnicities represented. I agree that many in this set of movies, are like this one, and seem to lack the character chemistry and writing. The diversity is blamed, likely because that's the major obvious change. Are they focusing so much on it that they are losing their identity? We don't really know if this is why they are lacking. Personally, I prefer Hallmark not try to tackle any present day issues in the movies. They never have before aside from grief and love. They were the place to escape into for awhile, the place where everyone got along, communities love each other and people matter. They are our ideal. They pointed the way without pointing the way. I hope they bring back the chemistry and writing soon.

The actors were great so I gave 2 stars. The characters and storyline are garbage. The main guy was unrealistic, unaccepting and unyielding. He loved her but only if she gave up all the main parts of her that he wasn't broad enough to understand or accept. No compromise, no balance. Become who he says you are or leave. In the end, she gave herself up.
