Rooney (I) (2022)
9/10
Highly would recommend!
22 November 2023
I don't often bother with documentaries. But I was a big fan of Rooney growing up.

So I enjoyed this alot, its nostalgic as hell seeing all his main football highlights. And hearing his side of fame , and his life in general.

Which to be fair he's very honest about to!

Quite sad to how he was spoke about at just 16 , I remember some of those rumours!

Man if I would of had that kind of fame, attention, pressure at 16 . I would of definitely made some mistakes to.

Think most of us guys who grew up in quite rough areas was just the same 🤣🤣🤣

I was a man united fan, and actually became a fan of Rooney when he was starting off at Everton. Then obviously the euros I remember so well.

I assumed he'd probably go Chelsea at the time. So I was genuinely shocked and excited when it was announced he was coming to united!

And remember that first game he had with his hatrick.

You just knew right then we were going to come back on top. And with him an Ronaldo . Wow did we just !! 👑 👑 🏆 🏆 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🙏

Not bad atall
14 February 2023
Really don't get why this film got such bad reviews. It's an okay thriller, nothing mind blowing but decent enough for a watch. And Madonna is hot af in it!

Remember this coming on late one night when I was flicking through the channels as a teenage boy, was like striking gold. So it gets an extra star for that 🌟 Personally I prefer it over Basic Instinct which it's often compared to. Just found it more interesting for some reason , and Madonna was a better seductress. Which is what the movies are mainly about really.

And the cast was actually better too. Frank Langella and Julian Moore in supporting roles!

Better than I expected
17 November 2022
I'm not completely anti danny dyer films. He was in some pretty okay films for a little while.

And this was definitely one of them !

It's definitely elevated with the great gillian anderson on board.

But the two leads both do a great job with bringing alot of depth to the plot to be fair. And showing the after effects of suffering such a tradegy

Obviously like most revenge movies you know where it's all heading really. But the end still manages to be quite intense. And a little surprising.

And I'm pretty sure you may never see gillian anderson taking such " extreme measures" anywhere else (lol)

I would definitely give it at least a 7 /10.

Literally the greatest film ever made in my opinion
18 November 2021
This film does deserve to be on the greatest film list.

It literally has everything, amazing story, great characters, top cast. Its an engaging drama, light hearted, dark in parts, emotional, funny, magical.

The ending manages to have one of the saddest scenes ever, you literally have to be made of stone to not cry! A couple of twists, feels a little haunting and thought provoking, yet you still feel uplifted! There is literally no experience like it on film!

Sorry Pollyanna, it didn't measure up
18 November 2021
I am such a fan of the previous installment. Pollyanna Mcintosh was literally born to play The Woman!

I was checking for the release date of this film for so long, I was so excited for it. It starts off very well, but just kind of falls apart more an more. Its not a bad film, just didn't measure up atall to the previous one.

The Woman (I) (2011)
9/10
You won't forget this Woman for a long time!
18 November 2021
Part of a trilogy now, but personally I don't really rate the other two.

But this second installment, which serves as a prequel I think is by far the best

Pollyanna Mcintosh is mesmerising as The Woman. From her very first appearance she is seen growling back at a wild dog and she's clearly the Predator and they are the prey. She is terrifying!

The film kind of mostly plays out like a very dark horror comedy.

Her captor is clearly a creep, but you won't find out just how much until the big bloody mind blowing finale!

Dark and quite disturbing, but rather engaging

If your like me and like finding something different sometimes, then this might be for you. Its a very different take on a zombie film

I always take my hat off to the films that make me think about them long after I've seen it.

And I think maybe the subject matter manages to have some depth and meaning as it screams a little truth about teenage boys to in all honesty lol

The zombie woman is pretty damn scary too!

Fascinating and genuinely scary

This documentary managed to scare the be Jesus out of me!

I made the mistake of putting it on rather late at night. And could not sleep for ages afterwards ha!

But personally I think this is amazing. If you like documentaries, and horror films. This should be perfect for you.
