What Remains of Edith Finch (2017)
Beautiful
This is honestly probably the second best game I've ever played, right behind the Last Of Us. It tells a horrific story, but it tells it in a way as to make it seem kind and whimsical.
What Remains of Edith Finch follows Edith Finch going through her childhood home as she recalls her own memories, and reads the stories about family members of hers who have died. It is believed the Finches have a curse that says all of them will die tragically and most of the time young.
This is a beautiful story driven game, where you have one objective- learn about the past. It is beautiful, as it romanticizes death, yet not saying it's a good thing. It's subtly horrifying and at the same time beautiful as every death you play through has a different play through style.
Leo (2023)
Really good for families
This is a very solid movie which I watched tonight with my family. My family- other than my little sister- had very low expectations. Adam Sandler and Bill Burr are not our favorites.
But yet, this movie is very enjoyable. It's very funny at points, and really heart touching. However if I would complain about something? The music. If you didn't know before you watch it, this is a musical. The joke is that the music isn't good and the singing is bad. However, the movie overuses this joke and it gets a bit annoying.
The standout character to me? The drone of the boy with hypochondriac parents.
That '70s Show (1998)
Jumped the shark
This show was really funny and on its way to be on my top ten sitcoms of all time... until season 8.
Eric and Kelso were gone, and the writers didn't know what to do.
Why do they all still hang out in Eric's basement if he's gone to Africa, and he broke up with Donna over letter?
Not to mention they lose the characters and what make them great.
Fez doesn't act like Fez in this season, he's some ladies man.
Eric isn't Eric even off screen. The writers were like mad at Topher Grace so they messed up his character.
Jackie is just called a s lut the whole season because she finds she has a crush on Fez. Which btw, comes out of nowhere.
There's one episode in season 8 I can't stop thinking of- the one where they steal Fatso the clown. Donna is excited to commit crimes. That's not Donna, she'd be talking them out of it.
If you're going to watch this show, I say leave it at the end of season 7. Do not watch 8.
The SpongeBob Musical: Live on Stage! (2019)
Better if not spongebob
As I said in the title, this isn't necessarily a bad show, but it didn't have to be SpongeBob. I personally liked SpongeBob as a little kid, so maybe I don't realize because I realized, "oh this is so childish" and I'm sure six-year-old me would probably love this show but it's really just not my thing.
I see why people would like this.
1. It's nostalgic
2. The costumes are genuinely done really well
3. The characterization is really good.
I just say, this is not my kind of musical. I prefer the Addams Family or Dear Evan Hansen. And honestly, Addams Family is sort of the same. It's nostalgic to me, and the characterization and costumes are great. I don't know, it's just my thoughts.
The Addams Family (1991)
Perfect
I love these two movies. They're just perfect. To this day, I still can't think of Uncle Fester without thinking of Christopher Lloyd. Literally, no one compares.
And Christina Ricci is literally my favorite Wednesday depiction.
The other Addams are really good too. This has my favorite depiction of each Addams, actually. Gomez, Morticia, Pugsley, Thing, and Lurch.
The plot of this movie is really great. Fester went missing years ago, and he shows up as part of a scam for the family, and he has amnesia, not remembering even who they are.
I'm gonna be honest about the Addams Family for just a second. They're some of my favorite media. Literally, recently, all I've been listening to is the Addams Family musical soundtrack.
Don't Hug Me I'm Scared: Friendship (2022)
Out of place...
I loved this entire series and I don't think this episode was at ALL bad! It just felt so out of place with the overall theme of the show, especially with the two following episodes. Didn't mind first time through, thought it was stupid fun but after rewatching it, I was like... this episode misses most of the psychological horror, and actually goes for genuine horror. But the psychological horror is the best part of the whole series! This show has scarred me beyond repair lol. My favorite episode is the third one, despite how... unnerving it is. I hope this show gets picked up for a second season!
30 Rock: Hogcock!/Last Lunch (2013)
Lemon, I figured it out!
I love this episode. It was a great close. Also it didn't make me go "What?" Like the rest of the show. It was actually pretty funny.
"Good god, Lemon, I figured it out! I'm coming back! Clear dishwashers! Thank God I took this boat trip!" that made me laugh so much.
""What did you do to Al Roker to make him do that?" "Let's just say his wife is on the board of a children's hospital and they need a celebrity for a gala. And I threatened to do it.
It was a great ending. With Criss and Lemon being happy together in the end.
Oh the funniest part in my opinion was "Paula! I mean who's Pete?"
The way they ultimately decided to end the show seemed good until flying cars flied behind the window.
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
It's not perfect but it's good
All right, to everyone who says this movie sucks, I have to disagree. It's not supposed to all make sense, because time travel never makes sense. But what I think of this movie is that it's a great close to the MCU. Yes part of me is now wishing they had stopped here. But some of the new projects are good nowadays too.
Tony's sacrifice was a great moment. And although Robert Downey Jr. Didn't wanna come back and reshoot the end and say "I am Iron Man," it makes a great closing for the whole MCU. End it with the line that started it all.
Dexter: The Getaway (2009)
Wow- Just wow
I don't have any thing to say, just- this episode was amazing. This whole season was. The mix of Michael C Hall and John Lithgow is amazing. And when Debra found out Dexter was related to the ice truck killer- I just loved it. If Michael's acting didn't pull this all together, Jennifer Carpenter's did. I just want to thank everyone here- I know they'll never see this but still- I love this season more than any of the others but the others are still pretty good. And thats all I have to say.
