Heartbreak High (2022)
What an absolute banger
We need more good Aussie shows like this, they're relatable, deep, funny and has so much diversity. To the LGBTQIA's, indigenous, disabilities and the personalities. It honestly could impact all of Australia and the way things work.
The stories never slowed, it always kept me guessing. Some characters I fell in love with, especially the ships, and some characters I was annoyed/repulsed by, with every episode my opinions kept changing.
I love the use of our Aussie slang and just getting to hear our accent on tv again was just so refreshing. We need more shows like this, more Aussie authentic shows.
The Croods: A New Age (2020)
I loved it!
I put this movie off for yearrsss, I was so scared it was going to suck like most sequels do but surprisingly enough it had me laughing out loud at 3 am in the morning! The animation was amazing, all the details that they made sure the audience could see (well done visual crew), the plot line was amazing and so were the jokes, it was like the early 2000's movies where they kept the adult jokes well hidden but well enough for us to spot it, literally almost had me in tears. I'm definitely recommending this to my family. Although there were cringe parts but they're easily to forget and get over with.
Love Hard (2021)
Wow
I liked it, I don't want to read everyone's detailed opinions only for it to ruin the look of this movie. I loved it. It was a feel-good romance and Christmas movie. Probably one of my favourite Christmas movies with romance involved. It was sweet, funny and gosh the second hand embarrassment I got in some scenes, I almost skipped parts. But I always came back because I wanted to see it play out. I had spoiled the ending for myself but that made me enjoy watching their characters spend time with one another, it was sweet and chaotic with their back story and all but although the ending came together too smoothly, it left a sickening sweet smile on my face. :)
Red Notice (2021)
Ehhhh
I liked it then I didn't, then I did then I didn't. It was funny and had a great cast but some of the acting was bad and some parts were very cliche and badly written with plot holes even after the big reveal of double crossing sabotage. The writing was badly done and verrrry cliche to the point where you could say what they were going to before they do, it was just plain. The comedy was good and the relationship between the rock and Ryan's character was the only reason why I stayed.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021)
Was not expecting that...
Like the title I typed, I was not expecting that at all. With the lack of advertising and no hype except from the shangchi actor himself I was expecting a low budget film with no plot but instead I got a fine course meal with a side of surprisement. I watched with amazement at the acting skills, the fighting skills (the training and hard work), the music (was lit af, it gave me into the spiderverse vibes.), the unsuspecting plot, the comedy, the characters and CGI. All of it was amazing and I will definitely watch it again and can't wait to show it to my parents. Well done ShangChi cast and crew you've out done yourself!
