Island of Blood (1982)
Surprisingly good,,,bad good.
You have to be a certain kind of watcher to really enjoy this movie . If you are a mainstream movie watcher then you will not understand this movie.
This movie is for the more sophisticated viewer who tends to find the oddball movies more enjoyable and can look past the low budget drag me Downs.
You have to take these kinds of movies with the grain of salt.
If you understand how it was made then you can wrap your head around the rest of it.
You Can't Do That on Television (1979)
Hands down,,, the show I grew up on.
As a child I was not the most popular, I was not the most handsome or most athletic or even the coolest.
About the only thing I could depend on as a child was turning on Nickelodeon everyday and knowing that I was going to have the time of my life even if it was just for half an hour.
This was a true one of a kind show that empowered children and let them run the show.
Of course they did not really run the show but it was the 1st time a child could turn on TV and see children making fun of stupid adults.
As a child , life was not always sunshine and roses for me and it was quite refreshing to see a group of kids control stupid adults for 30 minutes every day.
This show can never be duplicated or emulated ,especially these days.
I am actually quite upset that there is not a blue ray collection of these out and I just can't figure out why.
I mean seriously,,,WHY?????????????????????
I would be the very 1st one in line to buy the set.
Or I would try lol.
The Grand Tour (2016)
It's definitely not top gear. As I have been watching the grand tour over the past few years it is apparent that this show is slowly dying
What used to be my favorite show and just nothing but belly laughs every time I watched it has now turned into something called the grand tour which has slowly started dying . Since 2016 I have watched this show slowly fall apart and be torn down to a mere mirror image of what it used to be. There is no longer any audience interaction or car reviews and just a bunch of idiots driving around doing stupid specials that make no sense. It's not even entertaining to watch anymore. That's sad because these guys used to make me laugh harder than anyone else and now they just simply make me sad. I suppose it's due to not having the same people around you as you once had. A show is much more than the 3 idiots on the screen and something was lost in the transition.
