Someone should be stepped on for this.

Remember the Little Mermaid? The movie that made you believe in Disney again every time you saw it (no matter how awful their current movies were?) If you liked the Little Mermaid in the least bit, do not walk within viewing distance of this movie. I loved the Little Mermaid when it was the first movie I ever saw, I love it now; this movie, which had me excited in the beginning, left me feeling that it was better off never made. Everything in it, from character development, to voices, plot, lame side-kicks, lame villains, general stupidity, everything down to the more cutesy way things were colored and drawn, and the score. The original had a sort of mature feel that also appealed to kids that not a lot of Disney movies generally have, and this movie ended up as a drop in a sea of terrible Disney sequels.

Malcolm in the Middle (2000–2006)
Now that the Simpsons suck...

Malcolm is the comic relief you need after the way the Simpsons have really gone under these past 2 or 3 seasons. The show is so clever, true-to-life, and edgy that it's just perfect. My dad even watches it with me and about dies laughing. It's a great show that appeals to all ages of people in a family. Jane Kaczmarek and Bryan Cranston are perfect. If they keep up the way they are, they'll have many great years to come.

Awful
1 November 2001
Everyone raved about this movie, so I was somewhat interested in seeing it, but after I did I wondered to myself: what do newspapers pay movie critics for? The story is awful and typically Hollywood. Kevin Spacey should stick to imitating Christopher Walken on SNL. Now THAT was genius.

Titan A.E. (2000)
Simply put: awesome
1 November 2001
As stated above this movie, simply put: is awesome. The animation is awesome. It left me in awe the first time I saw it. Sure, the love story in it doesn't exactly make sense, but there's plenty to make up for it.

Unlike what the critics said, I found the plot original and creative. The characters seemed real and 3-D (both in animation and personality) to me, you have enough of the background to tell you what's going on, but not enough to bore you out of your skull. The voices they chose are great. The animation is awesome. The alien races are inventive and awesome. Seeing this movie somehow made me wish that I could live in deep space. Don Bluth did an excellent job.
