Game of Thrones: Kill the Boy (2015)
Season 5, Episode 5
9/10
Kill the Boy. S5 EP5 review.
15 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Soundtrack : (9.2/10) Dialogue : (9/10) Story : (8.8/10) Cinematography : (9.4/10) Character Development : (9.1/10) Conflict : (8.8/10) Excitement : (9/10) Reasonableness : (8.9/10) Overall : (9/10)

Pros :
  • a cold fine opening scene. Although killing off Barristan Selmy was idiotic, but his funeral was alright.

  • Maester Aemon's scene with Jon was great. The following scenes in the Night's watch is equally great. Tormund and Jon's talk, Ole getting mad, the argument and the defiance of Jon's order, they really lifted the episode.

  • Brienne's scene was good. And Sansa finally meets Theon again. I really love Theon's arc as Reek. The tension while Theon apologizes to Sansa was surprising. The lunch was really good. I love how Ramsey's fun diminishes when he hears about his father's new son.

  • Stannis finally leaves the Night's Watch. Davos and Shereen have a final cute scene.

  • In general, this episode is a heavy step - up from the last 3 episodes. Scenes are well written although there are some flaws. But I'm surprised on how much I loved this episode.

Cons :
  • Daenerys deciding to marry whoever that guy is felt really rushed. I loved more how that was written in the books.

  • Again, Jorah and Tyrion aren't that interesting. The idea of pairing them together without anyone else with them was bad. However, their scenes in this episode are better that before, and the attack wasn't bad.

Game of Thrones: Sons of the Harpy (2015)
Season 5, Episode 4
8/10
Sons of the Harpy. S5 EP4 review
3 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Soundtrack : (8.9/10) Dialogue : (8.4/10) Story : (7/10) Cinematography : (9.3/10) Character Development : (8/10) Conflict : (8.5/10) Excitement : (8.7/10) Reasonableness : (8/10) Overall : (8.3/10)

Pros :
  • Bronn and Jaime' scenes are always entertaining and hilarious. Their fight scene was really good and well edited.

  • I love seeing Cersei struggling to rule and constantly makes the wrong decisions.

  • the faith militant grows in power and the conflicts in Kingslanding grows. Loras gets arrested. Margery's scene with Tommen is really good.

  • Jon holding on to his vows and his love to Yigrette is great.

  • Shireen is adorable. I loved her scene with Stannis. What a great scene.

  • Daenerys and Barristan scene was fine.

Cons :
  • Stannis's scenes are becoming dull. There are no more conflicts that can add to his character.

  • one of the worst decisions made by the lazy Dave and Dan. Killing Barristan Selmy is so idiotic. His death doesn't affect the general conflict in Mereen. What a stupid decision. Look how they have massacred my boy.

  • Dorne is just horrible. Dull characters with non sense conflict.

  • Jorah and Tyrion scenes could be infinitely better if followed as the books.

Game of Thrones: High Sparrow (2015)
Season 5, Episode 3
8/10
High Sparrow. S5 EP3 review
30 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Soundtrack : (9/10) Dialogue : (9/10) Story : (7.7/10) Cinematography : (9/10) Character Development : (8.1/10) Conflict : (8/10) Excitement : (8.4/10) Reasonableness : (7.5/10) Overall : (8.3/10)

Pros :
  • the wedding scene was good. Tommen's talk with Margery was alright.

  • Cersei's rivalry against Margery is really good. I love how Margery manipulates Tommen and Cersei tries to prevent that.

  • I loved Podrick telling Brienne how he squired for Tyrion. Their relationship is great. Brienne's backstory was amazing.

  • Davos's talk with Jon was really good. I liked it.

  • my favorite scene in this episode is Jon beheading Janos Slynt. This action develops Jon as a commander and furthermore moves the plot forward. What a scene.

  • the sparrows rises in power. Continuing the set up of the conflicts in Kingslanding. We meet the High Sparrow. A well done introduction to his character. Cersei plays her role into giving the sparrows more power.

  • Ramsey pretends to be kind. Roose's and Baelish's talk is interesting.

Cons :
  • Arya's scenes in the House of Black and White are horribly dull. A huge deterioration in writing. We have so many of these scenes without any use.

  • I will never ever forgive David and Dan for the changes they made for Baelish's arc. One of the worst things in this season. There is no reason for Baelish sending Sansa to the Boltons. He lost his trust from Sansa although he needed to strengthen that after she saw him murder Lysa. What a horrible idea from David and Dan.

  • Baelish said that he wouldn't force Sansa in doing what she wouldn't want to do. How in the seven hells did Sansa agree in marrying a Bolton.

  • Stannis staying so long in one location without several conflicts makes the scenes so dull. Stannis must be gone by now. But what to do, David and Dan's laziness killed the show.

  • Tyrion's scenes are soooo boring.

The House of Black and White. S5 EP2 review
29 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Soundtrack : (8.8/10) Dialogue : (8.6/10) Story : (8.3/10) Cinematography : (9.3/10) Character Development : (8.4/10) Conflict : (8.5/10) Excitement : (8.6/10) Reasonableness : (8.3/10) Overall : (8.6/10)

Pros :
  • Brienne meeting Sansa was good. The action scene following it was well done.

  • Sansa and Jaime's scene was pretty fine. We can tell how Tywin's death negatively affected their situation.

  • A good journey for Bronn and Jamie's relationship.

  • Mereen's council scene was interesting. Ser Barristan telling Daenerys about her father was great.

  • Ser Kevan is amazing.

  • Shireen teaching Gilly was cute.

  • Jon's talk with Stannis was good. An interesting offer from Stannis.

  • The Nights Watch scene was so great. Sam's speech develops his character along with the plot of Jon being a Lord Commander. The conflict was great and saved the episode in my opinion. Maester Aemon vouching for Jon was amazing. And finally Jon gets the position he deserves.

  • Arya finally meets Jaqen and enters the House of Black and White.

-Daenerys makes a difficult decision. We meet Drogon with a great scene.

Cons :
  • In general, the efficiency in writing has heavily deteriorated in this season. Most of the scenes started accomplishing fewer factors. For example, in previous seasons scenes developed the plot and the character, but in this season, scenes only managed to accomplish one of these.

  • Brienne saving Podrick at the last second was really unnecessary. It doesn't accomplish anything.

-the conflict in Dorne is so ridiculous. The characters are so poorly written unlike how great they are in the books. Everything is devoid of logic. Somehow Ellaria threatens the lord of Dorne with no consequences.

  • the dialogue is no longer intriguing as it was.

  • Celyse is so annoying. I never sympathized with her. A horribly written character.

Game of Thrones: The Wars to Come (2015)

The Wars to Come. S5 EP1 review
29 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Soundtrack : (9.1/10) Dialogue : (8.9/10) Story : (8.5/10) Cinematography : (9.2/10) Character Development : (8.9/10) Conflict : (9/10) Excitement : (8.3/10) Reasonableness : (8.5/10) Overall : (8.8/10)

Pros :

  • the flashback scene was good and interesting. It explains many of Cersei's actions as she is afraid of the prophecy becoming true.

  • Tywin's funeral scene was equally good.

  • we meet the Sons Of The Harpy. A fine set up to this conflict. Especially that this conflict deals with killing and murder unlike all previous conflicts in Mereen.

  • Sam and Gilly's scene was nice. Ole training is nice as well. Stannis's meeting with Jon is even better.

  • We meet Ser Kevan and Lancel again. We get introduced to the high sparrows and the faith of the seven setting up a new conflict in Kingslanding.

  • Tyrion and Varys's scene was great. We finally know their next destination.

-Mance's death was amazing. The best scene in this episode. Such an interesting character. Jon Snow saving him from suffering was great.

Cons :
  • Loras's scene with Ollivar was dull. Although Margery's talk was good.

  • Daenerys's scene with Daario was mehh...

  • Cersei's flashback is inaccurate and is changed from the books.

Game of Thrones: The Children (2014)
Season 4, Episode 10
10/10
The Children. S4 EP10 review
28 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Soundtrack : (9.7/10) Dialogue : (9.3/10) Story : (9.7/10) Cinematography : (8.9/10) Character Development : (9.7/10) Conflict : (9.5/10) Excitement : (9.4/10) Reasonableness : (9/10) Overall : (9.5/10)

Pros :
  • Continuing last episode's ending, the episode starts with an intense meeting between Jon and Mance. I love the respect they have for each other regardless of the side they fight for. Stannis's attack was surprising and amazing.

  • Cersei blows the truth of her and Jaime and threatens her father. What a scene.

  • more conflicts arises in Mereen. Daenerys locking her dragons was emotional but necessary.

  • We finally meet the 3 eyed raven.

  • I loved Brienne and Arya's scene. It's interesting that they both share the same interests in sword fighting. The tension between Brienne and The Hound was amazing. Arya's last scene with The Hound was equally amazing.

  • Tyrion's escape was perfect. From his brother saving him and an emotional farewell to another emotional scene where Tyrion kills who once he loved, to the best scene in this episode where the mighty Tywin dies in the hands of his son. A great ending to one of the best characters in the whole show.

  • Arya with a new interesting journey to Bravos. A perfect ending to a perfect season.

Cons :
  • Although Brienne and the Hound's fight is interesting, but the editing was horrible. You barely can understand what is happening.

  • Jojen's death was really weird and poorly executed. The fact that this wasn't the situation in the books makes it even worse. The attack was ridiculous.

Game of Thrones: The Mountain and the Viper (2014)
Season 4, Episode 8
10/10
The Mountain and The Viper. S4 EP8 review
27 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Soundtrack : (9.4/10) Dialogue : (9.4/10) Story : (10/10) Cinematography : (9.3/10) Character Development : (9.5/10) Conflict : (9.8/10) Excitement : (9.5/10) Reasonableness : (9.7/10) Overall : (9.6/10)

Pros :
  • the wildings attack was terrifying. A really fine start to the episode.

  • Reek is amazing. His arc is so interesting. The acting is phenomenal.

-Baelish manipulating these lords is fun. I love the tension that occurs when they question Sansa about Lysa's death. I really love Sansa's development.

  • Jorah's scene with Daenerys was great. The truth has finally been revealed. Poor Ser Jorah. What a heartbreak

  • Ramsey becoming a Bolton.

  • Arya's laugh is hilarious.

  • Jaime and Tyrion with an adorable nice little talk.

  • Oh my God what an ending. One of the best twists in the show. What a painful scene. The fight is full of tension and even the editing was great as we could understand everything that is happening in the fight. I love how slowly and gradually we get the hope of Oberyn living and we feel safe about that. Only so that in one second every hope flashes out and we end up with a brutal horrifying ending. I can't even rewatch the death scene from how painful it is.

Cons :
  • Greyworm and Missandie's scene was meh. I felt it was a bit too long.

  • the plot armor was a bit thick when Yigrette for some reason saved Gilly. Her having sympathy for the baby wasn't the best excuse.

Game of Thrones: Mockingbird (2014)
Season 4, Episode 7
9/10
Mockingbird. S4 EP7 review.
27 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Soundtrack : (9.2/10) Dialogue : (9.5/10) Story : (9.6/10) Cinematography : (9/10) Character Development : (9.4/10) Conflict : (9.5/10) Excitement : (9.1/10) Reasonableness : (9.6/10) Overall : (9.4/10)

Pros :
  • A solid beginning to the episode. I always adored Jaime and Tyrion's relationship.

  • meeting The Mountain again with a new actor. A better actor in my opinion.

  • Arya is developing with the Hound. And in this episode, the Hound develops as well. I love how he lets Arya treats his injury and tells her about his burned face.

  • Tyrion searches for a champion. Bronn's scene with him is wholesome. I love that the champion is someone we never expected him to be.

  • Hotpie is fun. Podrick and Brienne are great as well.

  • Surprisingly, Oberyn declares himself as the champion. What a great scene. Him telling Tyrion about their first meeting is pure joy. The scene was sooo well written. Everything was perfect.

  • I hate Robin. Seeing him get slapped is so satisfying. Baelish bleeds great dialogue as usual. Lysa gets crazier every day. The ending was shocking. Baelish with a stunning move killing Lysa. An epic ending to the episode.

Cons :
  • I never really cared about Celyse. Her scenes are dull. There is nothing interesting about her. Although the ending of that scene was good.

  • I think it would've been better if the reveal of Jon Arryn's death was in this episode rather in episode 4.

Game of Thrones: The Laws of Gods and Men (2014)
Season 4, Episode 6
10/10
The Laws of Gods and Men. S4 EP6 review
26 March 2023
Soundtrack : (9.8/10) Dialogue : (9.8/10) Story : (9.8/10) Cinematography : (9.5/10) Character Development : (9.7/10) Conflict : (9.7/10) Excitement : (9.5/10) Reasonableness : (9.7/10) Overall : (9.7/10)

Pros:
  • The Iron Bank scene was good. The cinematography of the city was great tho.

  • Theon was perfect in this episode. It's crazy how loyal he is towards Ramsey. The action scene was good as well.

  • I love the conflicts that arises in Mereen with Daenerys ruling.

  • Gosh I love love Oberyn's talk with Varys. Their dialogue is awesome. We get a lot of their character. The shot of them both facing each other and the Iron Throne on the background was smartly shot.

  • Now to one of the best scenes in the cinema history, The trial. I mean what can I say. It was perfectly executed. Every single millisecond was exceedingly well written. We can tell how Cersei manipulated the whole trial to accuse Tyrion. I love that Oberyn is the only one who is really trying to solve the mystery. The heartbreak when Shae witness against Tyrion destroys him. His monologue will be remembered for years to come. What an acting. What a monologue. What a scene. The ending shocked me personally as I didn't expect that he will demand a trial by combat. The look on everyone was perfect. The rivalry between Tyrion and Tywin is perfect. The soundtrack is perfect as well. Oh god I love this scene. Hook it to my veins please.

  • Jaime's scene with Tywin is perfect. His love for Tyrion is wholesome. He would do anything for Tyrion. Such a true brother.

Cons:
  • maybe rescuing Theon could've been done better but it wasn't bad at all.

First of His Name. S4 EP5 review
25 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Soundtrack : (8.9/10) Dialogue : (9.3/10) Story : (9/10) Cinematography : (9.2/10) Character Development : (9.1/10) Conflict : (9.1/10) Excitement : (9.1/10) Reasonableness : (9.3/10) Overall : (9.1/10)

Pros :
  • A solid beginning to this episode. I love Cersei's talk about Joffrey.

  • Sansa and Baelish arrives at the Vale. More wisdom from Baelish. Meeting Lysa again with a shocking reveal that Baelish is again the mastermind behind the war between the Lannisters and the Starks. It's crazy how she switches from being incredibly kind to an incredibly mad person and terrifies Sansa.

  • The Hound and his funny replies as usual. What a character. "The greatest swordsman who ever lived didn't have a sword?!"

  • Oberyn and Cersei talking is new and amazing. The fact that they both wants to get revenge for the death of a loved one makes their discussion immensely better.

  • Podrick and Brienne are wholesome. A great new duo.

  • The ending fight was amazing. We finally get a great duel between 2 skilled fighter. I love that the show didn't make Jon the perfect warrior who can beat anyone, but instead gets beaten by many people. Well until now this is the situation. We also get to know Locke's real intentions. Bran seeing Jon was emotional. And finally Ghost returns with Jon.

Cons :
  • maybe if the reveal had been delayed few episodes later it would've been better with a more of a dramatic sense.

Game of Thrones: Oathkeeper (2014)

Oathkeeper. S4 EP4 review
25 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Soundtrack : (8.9/10) Dialogue : (9.3/10) Story : (8.8/10) Cinematography : (9.2/10) Character Development : (9.3/10) Conflict : (9/10) Excitement : (8.7/10) Reasonableness : (9.1/10) Overall : (9/10)

Pros :
  • Bronn and Jaime's duo is amazing. Jaime learns a lot from Bronn.

  • Jaime had a fun talk with Tyrion. God I love the Lannister siblings' relationships.

  • Lord Baelish oozes wisdom with every sentence. It's always been entertaining following Littlefinger and predicting his next move. I would listen to him reading the dictionary and still have a fun time.

  • We meet Locke again in the Nights Watch. The conflict between Jon and Alliser Thorne is amazing.

  • I love Jaime and Brienne's scene. One of the best duos. Him giving Brienne his sword to find Sansa shows how honorable he is.

  • Meeting the Night King was the highlight of this episode. An interesting reveal.

Cons :
  • the Mereen scene was normal. It wasn't bad but want really good as well.

  • I don't get how ghost ended up in a cage. He could kill any man .

Game of Thrones: Breaker of Chains (2014)
Season 4, Episode 3
9/10
Breaker of Chains. S4 EP3 review
25 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Soundtrack : (9.2/10) Dialogue : (9.6/10) Story : (9/10) Cinematography : (9.1/10) Character Development : (9.2/10) Conflict : (9.4/10) Excitement : (9.2/10) Reasonableness : (9.1/10) Overall : (9.2/10)

Pros : -A sick beginning to the episode. It grabs the audience's attention immediately and get him engaged in the episode. Sansa flees off, Tyrion gets arrested.

-I love Peter Baelish. It's crazy how he is the mastermind of every action going on. His dialogues are mind blowing and it's really entertaining trying to figure out his next move. What a player of the game of thrones.

-Tywin lecturing Tommen is class. I love how he uses examples from history to support his ideas. A great way in lecturing children.

-Arya and The Hound are always perfect. Their scenes are adorable and hilarious. The lessons he teaches her are incredibly important for her character.

-Shereen is always cute and adorable. I love how Davos treats her like an equal and enjoys his time with her.

-Tywin's scene with Oberyn is a hell of a great scene. Oberyn rivaling Tywin in dialogues is just awesome. Could be my favorite scene in this episode.

-Podrick's scene with Tyrion is heartbreaking. Their relationship is really amazing. And as Tyrion said, "there has never lived a more loyal squire"

-Ole's introduction is sad. The argument in Castle Black is equally great.

-Daario's duel was a great way to show his skill. I wished they included Strong Bellwas as they did in the books but Daario is fun as well.

Cons : -Jaime and Cersei's scene beside Joffrey was a bit strange. I think that they must've cut this scene but somehow it slipped. But their talk before it was really good.

-I didn't t care about Gilly in whatever town she was in. The idea that she would stay there is completely fine but I don't t think the scene in there was necessary. Although she getting annoyed at Sam for it was good.

Game of Thrones: The Lion and the Rose (2014)
Season 4, Episode 2
10/10
The Lion and the Rose. S4 EP2 review
23 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Soundtrack : (9.5/10) Dialogue : (9.6/10) Story : (9.9/10) Cinematography : (9.5/10) Character Development : (9.6/10) Conflict : (9.8/10) Excitement : (9.4/10) Reasonableness : (9.8/10) Overall : (9.6/10)

Pros :
  • the episode starts brutally by showing how horrible and mad Ramsey is for hunting a girl because she made his girl jealous. What a villain. I love how Theon feels so bad for the girl but can't do anything but watch.

  • Bronn's scene with Jaime is so amazing. Their relationship together is hilarious and I love how Bronn replies to Jaime as if he is an old friend. Season 1 Jaimie would never accept it.

  • it's crazy how with all the evilness in Ramsey, his father puts him back in his place. Their scene was really good. Theon shaving Ramsey was so tense. We can see how Theon is no longer the man he was and obeys Ramsey even when he knew about Robb's death.

  • In protecting Shae, Tyrion kills the relationship with a heartbreaking scene. It's sad that he really loved her and had to break her heart to protect her. This really demonstrates the quote "Love is the death of duty" on how he had to break from Shae to focus on his duties as well as keeping her safe.

  • The wedding is perfect. Literally Perfect. From Joffrey kindly accepting Tyrion's gift to destroying it. Naming his sword with a horrible name. I can't believe that when Joffrey asks for a name someone shouts "feminist". Basically every scene was an A tier scene. All side conversations were so great, if I started listing them I won't finish.

  • Joffrey's death was incredibly satisfying. Easily one of the most satisfying moments in the show. The acting was crazy. Ending the scene with Tyrion getting accused and arrested sets a great conflict for the upcoming episodes.

Cons :
  • Stannis's dinner scene with his wife and Milesandre wasn't that intriguing. Celyse wanting to strike her daughter is so annoying and horrible.

-As a character, Celyse is the weakest writing wise in my opinion. I never sympathized with her in any way.

Game of Thrones: Two Swords (2014)
Season 4, Episode 1
9/10
Two Swords. S4 EP
23 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Soundtrack : (9.4/10) Dialogue : (9.4/10) Story : (9.2/10) Cinematography : (9/10) Character Development : (9.8/10) Conflict : (9.3/10) Excitement : (9.1/10) Reasonableness : (9.6/10) Overall : (9.4/10)

  • What an introductory scene. Tywin is such a badass as he forges Ned's sword (Ice) into two swords.

  • Sansa mentioning the death of her mother and brother is so sad. The fact that she no longer prays shows how heartbroken she is.

  • Oberyn's introduction scene is so great. We can know so much of his character from just one scene. His talk with Tyrion says so much about him and his hatred to house Lannister.

  • Jaime returns to Kingslanding just to find Cersei annoyed and her affection towards him are gone.

  • Jon mentioning his brother and how jealous he was from him, a great scene. His trial is equally great and Slynt's replies pisses me off. It shows how an idiot he is. Maester Aemon is perfect.

  • I love the scene where Jaime and Joffrey talks about the kingsguard. We can see how changed Jaime is.

  • God the Hound is priceless. His replies are always funny and gold. Arya and the Hound's scenes in this episode are one the best scenes regarding them. Arya develops as she kills Polliver and she finally gets her own horse and retrieves Needle.

Cons :
  • The scene involving the Thens was really good but I didn't care about them or their conflict as we don't know enough about them to care about,

Game of Thrones: Mhysa (2013)
Season 3, Episode 10
10/10
Mhysa. S3 EP10 review
23 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Soundtrack : (9.7/10) Dialogue : (9.6/10) Story : (9.6/10) Cinematography : (9.3/10) Character Development : (9.5/10) Conflict : (9.5/10) Excitement : (9.3/10) Reasonableness : (9.6/10) Overall : (9.5/10)

Pros : -the episode starts continuing the misery that occurred in the ending of the last episode. The doing of the Frey men on the starks and how they plugged Greywind's head into Robb's body is so heartbreaking. And seeing Arya witnessing that is just brutal.

-Following the beginning the scene shifts to kingslanding to showcase the effect of Robb's death. We see Sansa having some fun with Tyrion. I love that they showed us Sansa being in joy as if to tell us that this is the last time specially after when she will receive the news.

-The council scene is amazing. Tywin's reply to Joffrey is golden and how everyone shuts up when Joffrey yells in reply shows how powerful Tywin is. Tyrion and Tywin talking after the scene furthermore develops their relationship in a great discussion scene about duty. It is sad seeing Tyrion suffers from everyone including his family.

-Ramsey traumatizes Theon as usual. One of the best villains in the show.

-Shae and Tyrion's relationship continues to fall apart. What a heartbreak.

-Cersei talking with Tyrion about her children is great. I love that without Jaimie, Cersei doesn't have anyone to share her emotions with except Tyrion although she despises him.

-Arya brutally killing the Frey man is such a relief. And the Hound being cool about it is even better.

-What a scene between Yigrette and Jon. Seeing her hesitation on killing Jon was wholesome.

-Jaimie arrives at Kingslanding as a different person. Everything changed in him except his love for Cersei.

  • Yara disobeying her father to save Theon is a great development for her character. Her speech was amazing.

-Another payoff scene for Daenerys conquering - I mean - liberating the slaves of Mereen. The soundtrack is gorgeous, another banger from Ramin Djawadi.

Cons :
  • the last shot of Daenerys was a bit strange... but fine. I think that it was a bit stupid move from Daenerys going through the slaves she liberated as a master could be dressed as a slave to kill her.

Game of Thrones: Second Sons (2013)
Season 3, Episode 8
9/10
Second Sons. S3 EP8 review.
22 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Soundtrack : (9.3/10) Dialogue : (9.4/10) Story : (9.6/10) Cinematography : (9.3/10) Character Development : (9.4/10) Conflict : (9.6/10) Excitement : (9.3/10) Reasonableness : (9/10) Overall : (9.4/10)

Pros : -The wedding was perfectly executed. I love how when Sansa walks with Joffrey to Tyrion we can see her feelings from her face but when see notices Margery she smiles hinting that Margery is her only friend. I love how Tyrion struggles to talk with Sansa because of how bad he feels for her.

-Stannis's scene with Davos was great. The argument of wether winning a kingdom is an excuse of killing a boy and Davos mentioning his son was amazing.

-Arya and the Hound are wholesome together. Perfect start of the one of the best relationships in the series.

-Olenna explaining how they'll be cousins is hilarious. Drunk Tyrion is a literal Goat. Him threatening Joffrey to protect Sansa is an S tier scene. Cersie roasting Loras, Joffrey traumatizing Sansa, Tyrion mocking Loras and makes jokes. This whole scene contains everything.

-The final scene was perfect. The slow increased tension as the coldness rises with loud noises from all ravens, the darkness that settles, the fact that Gilly and Sam were having a cute moment about naming Gilly's child just before the white attacks. Sam confronting and killing the White further develops his character. Introducing the fact that dragonglass is used to kill the whites is important and it was introduced well within this scene as he had no other weapon to attack the white with.

Cons : -its weird how Daario was able to sneak into Daenerys's camp without one noticing.

-The casting for the seconds sons looked a bit dull in addition that the characters weren't that interesting beside Daario. I wasn't convinced with the reasoning of Daario following Daenerys although he was capable of killing her.

-The scene where Gendry was tortured was a bit strange.

Game of Thrones: The Rains of Castamere (2013)
Season 3, Episode 9
10/10
The Rains of Castamere. S3 EP9 review 😢
20 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Soundtrack : (9.7/10) Dialogue : (9.6/10) Story : (10/10) Cinematography : (9.5/10) Character Development : (9.6/10) Conflict : (9.7/10) Excitement : (9.7/10) Reasonableness : (9.9/10) Overall : (9.7/10)

Pros :
  • OH GOD NOOOO! The Red Wedding is easily one of the best scenes if not THE best scene in the whole show. All of our doubts of wether Lord Frey would do anything abnormal diminishes with the start of the wedding, only to surprise us with the twist of the century. All scenes before the tragedy were 10/10. I love that the tension slowly builds up as we hear the rains of castamere being played, the doors closes off, from Arya's perspective we sense something wrong as well. The greatest/most heartbreaking scene to ever set on TV.

  • The Hound is hilarious. His relationship with Arya is just perfect.

  • Osha and Rickon splits of in a great emotional scene.

  • Arya's last hope vanishes with a heartbreaking scene.

  • the fighting scenes were well executed.

Cons :
  • None. Or maybe Jon fighting 3 wildings wasn't all logical. The direwolfs do help but later on. But it was completely fine.

The Bear and the Maiden Fair. S3 EP7 review
20 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Soundtrack : (9/10) Dialogue : (9.4/10) Story : (9.2/10) Cinematography : (9.1/10) Character Development : (9.5/10) Conflict : (9/10) Excitement : (9/10) Reasonableness : (9.5/10) Overall : (9.2/10)

  • Jon and Yigrette's scenes are great and cute. Their relationship is perfect.

  • Tywin and Joffrey Oh God how amazing. From their talk we can see who is the real man in control. We can see how Joffrey was afraid from Tywin as he (Tywin) claimed the stairs. All of Tywin's replies showed his strength and power over Joffrey.

  • Jaimie is a man of honor. End of discussion. I love how he threatens the man with him just to return to save Brienne.

  • Osha's backstory was great and the whole scene was quite good.

  • Daenerys is such a badass.

  • Ramsey is terrifying. And God helps Theon without his dingdong.

Cons :
  • nothing bad about the episode. It's just that most scenes were 8/10 which is great but not ummm u know, an S tier.

Game of Thrones: The Climb (2013)
Season 3, Episode 6
9/10
The Climb. S3 EP6 review
17 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Soundtrack : (9.4/10) Dialogue : (10/10) Story : (9/10) Cinematography : (9.5/10) Character development : (9.3/10) Conflict : (9.1/10) Excitement : (9.1/10) Reasonableness : (9.4/10) Overall : (9.3/10)

Pros :
  • as the name of the episode says, Jon's climb takes the biggest amount of attention and needless to say, all scenes regarding the climb was great. Jon and Yigrette's relationship is one of my favorite in the show. The last scene looks like a painting from how beautiful it is and the cinematography was great.

  • The best scene in this episode was Lord Baelish's monologue. What a line he says. The dialogue in this scene is my favorite and the acting was surreal. I love that when Littlefinger talks about people who refuse to climb, the scene shifts to Sansa heartbroken and how she missed Baelish's ship to cling to the hope of marrying Ser Loras.

  • Sam and Gilly's scene was wholesome.

  • Thoros taking about reviving Beric was amazing and it says a lot about his character.

  • Ramsey is a complete maniac. His delivery of his lines are terrifying as hell. It's horrific that Ramsey tortures Theon just because he enjoys it.

  • Jaimie is becoming more honorable gradually each episode. I love that he insists on bringing Brienne with him to save her from getting tortured and his character is yet to be fully developed.

  • Tywin and Olenna discussing the marriage proposal is golden and it shows how smart these characters are and that they are the real rulers of their houses.

  • Anguy teaches Arya how to be a better archer is amazing. I loved Anguy in this scene and I wished that we saw more of him. Such an interesting character.

Cons :
  • I think that an good explanation on how Milesandre finds Gendry was needed, along with that the scene could used the help of a better care but it was fine nevertheless.

Game of Thrones: And Now His Watch Is Ended (2013)
Season 3, Episode 4
10/10
And Now His Watch Is Ended. S3 EP5 review
16 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Soundtrack : (9.5/10) Dialogue : (10/10) Story : (9.8/10) Cinematography : (9.4/10) Character Development : (9.7/10) Conflict : (9.5/10) Excitement : (9.4/10) Reasonableness : (9.7/10) Overall : (9.6/10)

Pros:
  • Gosh the ending is PERFECT. As great payoff for Daenerys's arc. This particular scene shows how much Daenerys is a leader and a strategic thinker. A great build for her personality and she finally gets the badass scene she deserves. I love how she use both Jorah's and Barristan' advice as she buys the unsullied and proves a worthy leader so that they will follow her willingly,

  • Theon mentioning his wrong decisions was amazing and we finally know Ramsey's intentions.

  • Varys's monologue was one of the best dialogue scenes in the show. I wish that the evil part was shown more in the later seasons like it's shown in this episode.

  • Cersie and Olenna talking about their children was pure gold and we get more stunning dialogue.

  • I love the game that is being played between Varys and Baelish. Varys trying to uncover Littlefinger's plans with Olenna was amazing and it shows how smart these characters are.

  • Margery manipulating Joffrey and getting closer with Sansa showing how the Tyrells are playing the game of thrones and how Sansa is being used as a benefit from everyone without her knowing.

  • Jeor Mormont dying from a backstab is ironic as he is an honorable character and gets stabbed by his own men. The mess in Craster's keep was terrifying as everyone is killing everyone and Sam is starting his journey with Gilly.

  • Tywin is a badass. Jaimie getting traumatized by his own hand, and Brienne calling him a coward was amazing.

  • The Hound roasting everyone while being put to trial by combat is just funny and wholesome.

Cons :

  • every scene was great. One of the best episodes and I can't see a false note anywhere.

Game of Thrones: Walk of Punishment (2013)
Season 3, Episode 3
9/10
Walk of Punishment. S3 EP3 review
16 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Soundtrack : (9/10) Dialogue : (9.4/10) Story : (9.6/10) Cinematography : (9.1/10) Character Development : (9.4/10) Conflict : (9.5/10) Excitement : (9/10) Reasonableness : (9.5/10) Overall : (9.3/10)

Pros :
  • the beginning of the episode is a 10/10 as we see the funeral and proceeding with a solid scene between Robb, Blackfish, and Edmure.

  • a great acting, emotional scene from Catelyn as she griefs for her children

  • the council scene is an S tier scene. I love how Tyrion slowly takes a chair and sits in the opposite side from Tywin as if he is testing their patience.

-a great "goodbye" scene as Arya leaves Hotpie

  • Ramsey frees Theon and the chase was amazing and the editing and the direction was great.

  • The argument between Jorah and Barristan Selmy was a highlight with great dialogue and reasoning for everyone's perspective.

  • the ending showed us the honorable side of Jaimie with contrast of first season's Jaimie. This is certainly a great change in Jaimie's arc as he lost his most valuable thing the represents his character.

Cons :
  • the scene with the nights watch in Craster's keep was a bit dull but still good considering the lack of interesting conflict in there and personally I'm not interested in Sam and Gilly relationship.

  • Stannis and Melisandre's scene was the worst scene in this episode and that doesn't mean it was bad, it means that there wasn't enough context to make the scene a stand up scene.

Game of Thrones: Dark Wings, Dark Words (2013)
Season 3, Episode 2
9/10
Dark Wings, Dark Words. S3 EP2 review
16 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Soundtrack : (8.9/10) Dialogue : (9.1/10) Story : (9/10) Cinematography : (8.8/10) Character development : (9.4/10) Conflict : (9.1/10) Excitement : (9/10) Reasonableness : (9.3/10) Overall : (9.1/10)

Pros :
  • Arya's meeting with Thoros was great, setting up interesting characters with an interesting conflict in the end as they captured the hound and knew Arya'a identity.

  • Catelyn's scene was one of the best scenes in this episode as she mentions her relationship with Jon Snow along with giving their history. It's amazing that this was said to Talissa and not Rob for example as this results in enhancing Talisa and catelyn's relation.

  • The start of Theon's painful journey with a slight introduction to Ramsey.

  • Jaime and Brienne's scenes are always great and in this episode we get 2 of them. Although there is a thing that annoyed me which I'll mention in the cons part.

  • Sansa telling the Tyrells Joffrey's real personality was great and we can see how horrified Sansa is. Its mind blowing that even after the knowledge of how cruel Joffrey is Margery tends to get closer to him ny showing him her cruel side (holding the crossbow).

  • Jojen and Meera's introduction was great as something new happens to Bran to enhance his scenes as they are not always great.

Cons:
  • in the battle between Brienne and Jaimie, I wish that they had stuck with the books as in this scene Brienne takes on Jaimie easily unlike in the books where Jaimie's skill was too much even for Brienne as she barely takes on Jaimie. I know that Jaimie has a good excuse of not holding a sword for a long time and being a prisoner but for Jaimie being one of the best fighters it was more reasonable in the books.

The Queen's Gambit review
2 March 2023
Soundtrack : (9.6/10) Dialogue : (9.5/10) Story : (9.7/10) Cinematography : (9.4/10) Character development : (9.8f/10) Conflict : (9.5/10) Excitement : (9.3/10) Reasonableness : (9.7/10) Overall : (9.6/10)

Pros :
  • OH GOD! The acting is perfect. Anya Taylor Joy again with a phenomenal performance. In addition, every other character was well put and every performance was on spot.

  • the soundtracks are all outstanding. It's crazy that along with the incredible direction, the soundtracks made a game of chess intense as possible.

  • the dialogues were so intriguing that every character pulls of a well written dialogue that heavily affects our main character.

  • the story is well written, and Beth's arc was so emotional and amusing.

  • the cinematography and the production design with one of the best I've seen for a 1960's era. Everything represented the 1960s really well from technology, clothes, locations and much more.

  • Beth's relation with every character is extraordinary. And all relationships affected Beth's choices and decisions.

  • the theme of the show was smoothly shown on screen without the feeling of a filler scene.

  • For Beth, the character is one of the best I've seen recently with a new personality that I've not seen in other tv shows and movies.

Cons :
  • some important scenes that developed out main character occurred too quickly and I wish that we spent more time with Beth reacting to that scene immediately after it happened.

  • I think that it would be better if they explained the rules of chess as Beth was training with Mr Shaible. But it was fine nevertheless.
