Don't Look Up (2021)
Reminded me of 'Spitting Image' without the lookalike puppets
Fun, cringey! Worryingly close!!! We're doomed! Bring back Armageddon and our Brucey boy. Refreshing change to the usual end of the world movies. Wasn't expecting it from the movie description though on Netflix (didn't watch the trailer) x.
OXV: The Manual (2013)
Um...........
I don't really know what else to say!!!! I'm not going to try and sound intelligent, as after watching this film I have concluded that I'm in the low intelligence group, as I sat opened mouth at this, giggling at how much was washing over the top of my head! Then I read all the reviews and this cemented my thoughts. Maybe people are making up their reviews just to sound 'all brainy and that' but either way I'm happy with my little understanding of this movie. It won't make a difference in my life either way haha x.
After We Fell (2021)
Maybe I need to read the books!
I haven't read the books I must admit! A lot of the high ranking reviews seem to be from people who have read the books, and that this movie is a very true portrayal, which is good to hear. But as someone who hasn't, and is just taking the films on face value, I cannot give more than a 'meh' 5/10. I loved the chemistry in 1 and 2 which is what kept me watching, as I have to admit even though I loved the 1st storyline, even by the 2nd it was becoming a bit laughable, but I could forgive it as I adored the two of them. But this film has left me thinking, can I be bothered to sit through the 4th? I was not kept interested at all (grabbing my mobile all the time as I was too easily distracted) and I hate to say it, but it annoyed me, their 'relationship' annoyed me and where was the chemistry?! Waning, seriously waning 😔
Shadow in the Cloud (2020)
Loved it! Loved Chloe! Love the 80's vibe x
Didn't expect to like it! But ended up loving it 😊
It's a Sin (2021)
Wow!
Lost for words! What a phenomenal series. Feel emotionally drained after binge watching the first 4 episodes yesterday, then watching the final heart wrenching episode this evening. Wonderfully acted and filmed so well. A must see x
From Now (2020)
Got me hooked
Totally hooked by this. Completely immersed into a sci fi, the voices of the cast really draw you in, can't wait for the last episode, but don't want it to end either.
Songbird (2020)
Cringingly enjoyable
To be honest pre covid this is so my sort of film anyway, so I would enjoy it whatever, but even while I was watching I couldn't help but be thinking, really??? now???.....
Raised by Wolves (2020)
'Oh this has got really silly'
I literally said to myself by the end of episode 10, the last of the season 'oh this has got really silly'
I will wait to see what happens with season two as I'm still slightly intrigued, but it feels like it's on a slippery slope.
