Spielzeugland (2007)
White Lie
I love this film which I have ever seen in the class. No, it's the best in 2021.
It's set in 1943, Germany under the Nazis.
Young cute boy belives "Toy land" which his mother said him. For him, this land is dreamy. But, it's the kind lie by his mother for holding him.
One day, the Jewish neighbor family is taken by Nazi and at the same time, the cute boy also desapper... Where is he?
I was moved...so moved, because uncoditional love by parents doesn't discriminate children. And, I can't stand crying in the scene that the Jewish parents passes their boy. We can't imagine how hard it is... especially, I can't forget the look of the father.
I recommend this film.
The Gift (2010)
The colors of Russia
"The colors of Russia"
I could enjoy to watch the film because there are many secrets and curious points in it.
Especially, it's how to use the color. I think black and white are mainly used and white is especially used overall. However, I can see the point color, red in several scenes. For example, the tie of the rich man, the carpet, the chair in the rich man's house, and of course the cursed gift. I couldn't help focusing on red because it is contrasted with black and white. Maybe, the director wants to tell us something. So, I think it gently hints of death, socialism and communism. First, the death is such a simple reason. I connected the red blood with the death. Also, the gift is a symbol of death. Everyone who touches it completely dies. For example, the first victim has the red tie, the second one has like the red scarf. But, here goes the main point, socialism and communism. The key is the set. This film might be set in Russia because of the building and the fashion. So, Russia has the connection of these thoughts and people also had big revolutions in the past. However, I can't think in more detail. By the way, maybe the point color is one more. It's blue. The robot has its color. Its body has mainly white and blue. And, from the scene of the robot, the blue things suddenly increase. From these, these color, red, white and blue is the symbol color of Russia. I was excited in the moment I noticed it and I completely like it.
I want to recommend this film to people who like to search for secrets. I can enjoy doing it because there are few words!
Jojo Rabbit (2019)
Big LOVE,LOVE!!!!!!!
I record my important feelings at that time.
The moment after it started, I thought I completely liked it. And,that feeling is uninterrupted and I like it untill the last scene! I've never experienced such a big love from the films. I wanted to hug the person next to me. I can't put it into words, but my heart was warm. I recommend you should watch this movie with your love. And, I highly recommend that people in the future will see it. Maybe, Jojo's mother lie is to protect Jojo.
By the way, I fell in love with Sam Rockwell. I fell in love with Captain K!!! Help me!!!!
The Lunch Date (1989)
WE HAVE A FOOLIH STEREOTYPE...
I was complately cheated by this story.
Through the story, there are three black man.
They are the contrast with the herein, the rich white woman. At the this time, I was wonder the discrimination story. Actually, she acts like that. So, she soon doubt the poor black man at the restraunt.
However, this incident is happened by her mistake. We can understand it because of the camera work...
It's a little difficult to understand that scene, actually I was doubt that she moves other parallel world.
Thus, we have complatelly stereotype to the black.
Whacked (1998)
Revenge? Terrorism?
This short film, "Whacked!" was made in 1996. In this story, a man works in the golf driving range His jobcollecting golf balls which many customers hit. This job gives him a lot of stress. And, he plays golf like his customers. It is not a hobby but reducing his stress. He kills people. I guess the main character is Hispanic. I think he looks like Raul Julia.
In my opinion, this film is a story of a weak man who wants to retaliate against society. I say this for two reasons. Firstly, I focus on the reason why the director decided on golf. I think that golf is a hobby, but people also play golf to reduce their stress. Thus, the main character has to help their action. Maybe, he feels miserable. Actually, he has to work while he is hit by their golf balls. Secondly, I focus on the direction of the character's expression and action. For example, the main character always looks frightened and his face is tense with heavy stress in the golf range. When he leaves there, he stumbles on a bump. That scene shows us that he can't go wrong with everything. In the last scene, he plays golf at the high building. Maybe, it shows he wants to get back at society. Then, his ball enters the goal. At that moment, he feels that he can be a winner, so the director makes us listen to many shouts of joy.
I highly recommend this film because we can know that our action for reducing stress might give someone awkward stress. It is not for the poor but also for the rich.
A Moment (2012)
Remember that time
Firstly, I couldn't understand what the director wants to tell us until the scene of the
praying. Until that, I think that this film is only about the life that never works out as we
expect. We can remember the importance of the ordinary life because of the scene.
Secondly, the director uses the contrast of the brightness around the praying scene.
Maybe, it expresses the feeling of four characters. Actually, from 2:40 to 5:38, the
brightness is dark and they also look gloomy. From when they pray, the weather and the lighting
are lighter. And the four characters look more positive. Because of these two points, I could better imagine the
feeling of characters and the purpose of the filmmakers.
J'attendrai le suivant... (2002)
Nice and saddly figure of speech!!
In this short film, the main character is a woman who wants true love.
When she gets on a train, one man appears. He accidentally starts to loudly state his opinion about marriage. Surprisingly, speakers accept the strange situation and his action. The woman gradually is attracted by his words.
Maybe, it's because of the skinhead man who objects to the strange man.
I'll focus on the title, especially who is "I" and what is "One"?
Judging from the last scene, firstly I thought that "I" is the woman. However, it was difficult to judge "One". I could apply that's meaning "a new man" and "new chance". So, now I think that "I" is the strange man. Thus, the meaning of "One" is new people who he can cheat by their performance. He waits for the next sucker.
I highly recommend this film. You can enjoy this story twice if you read my review. Sorry, it's my sketch.
Three Days in Kamakura (2012)
love is too difficult, Keiko has strong kindness and love
'Three Days in Kamakura' is the story of an international couple. David is an English man who works in an international school. Keiko is a Japanese woman who is David's wife and has emotional pain at the death of their child. One day, David takes care of Jay who is his student and a 'hafu' boy. While David spends time with Jay and Keiko, David hopes that Jay becomes their true child. At the same time, the train accident happens in Kamakura. And, there is no call from Jay's mother, so is she already dead in the accident?
In this film, I especially focus on Keiko's feeling. She has heavy emotional pain at the death of their child. Of course, she has sad pain in her heart, but she has also injury in her stomach. Maybe, she has to remember the sad experience every time she sees her injury. All day, she looks as if she feels so helpless. In the scene in the bath room, she rejects David's love. Of course, Keiko loves him, but more than that, she is scared to lose a child again. And, she understands that her rejection makes David depressed, so she maybe loses herself because of heavy sadness. However, Keiko is really kind and clever. In the scene that David hopes Jay can be their child, she convinces him. Maybe, she wants a child, but she continues to think of Jay's parents. Especially, it's about his mother, because she is a woman and also has an experience as mother. And, Keiko understands that Jay has only one mother even if his mother is irresponsible. If I were in Keiko's situation, I would also make the same decision even if I have such sad emotional pain.
I highly recommend this film. Here, I talk about only Keiko. However, I'm crazy about the boy who acts as Jay. His acting is very natural and his smile is so cute and shines like the sun. And, Kamakura is a nostalgic place and I forgot the time. Let's watch this fantastic work!
Born with It (2015)
my mixed feeling to Keisuke's mother...
This is a story about a 'hafu' black boy. His name is Keisuke. This story starts with the scene that
he moves to a small town. On the first day, his classmates assume that Keisuke has AIDS.
They think that all black people have it. They always exclude Keisuke. However, one kind boy
invites him to play catch and Keisuke gets injured then. After that, they search about AIDS.
After, Keisuke is filled with fear that really has AIDS, so he runs away from school. When
he talks about his fear, his mother comforts him and proves that he does not have AIDS. Actually,
she takes him to hospital. Keisuke is completely healthy. Then, she tells him his father's words, "It's not up to others to decide what kind of human being you are." In the last scene, he starts
to enter the school...
I was moved by the boy who plays catch with Keisuke. He is so kind, isn't he? Because, many
children want to exclude a stranger who is different from themselves. Even if you don't want
to do it, you might be influenced by your classmates. It's so horrible and stupid. I wonder how
many students can understand the fact of AIDS. They only see the pictures that the black
patients with AIDS on the internet. Maybe, the kind boy also has the stupid knowledge, but
he can look at Keisuke's heart not his appearance. For the kind boy, the difference of
appearance doesn't matter. In the future, I want my children to be like him.
Then, Keisuke's mother tells him so impressed words when he is crying. I sympathize with her
opinion. However, I also think she doesn't know anything. Keisuke and many children want to
sympathize with them by their mother and father. Of course, it's not a solution. Actually, I
had a mental problem when I was 11 years old. So, I couldn't enter my class and I always run
away to the library. One day, my mother knew that, so my father was angry. He told me if you
lose now, you will continue to lose in your life. After that, I had to enter my class and it was
such a nightmare. However, I could enjoy my school life again. (I don't know why I could do it...)
From that, I was frustrated with Keisuke's mother, but Keisuke will understand his mother's
words.
I like this film. Probably, I don't have the films that I don't like and I can't be interested in.
But this film makes me remember my sad experience and my growth. I recommend it!
Fish Out of Water (2005)
cute love game
In the short film, I focused on the visual effects because of without words and analyzed the meaning of the title.
First of all, I think the director wants to express the love game by the visual effects, and I have three scenes. First, it's the movement of her fingers and eyes at the early scene. At the scene, she is like a female leopard and she starts to aim for the main man as her lover. And, at the scene of the boat, she shows sexy appeal. Actually, she may be a fascinating woman for many men.
However, as the film title, such a fascinating woman is not necessarily good match for all people. In Japanese, this phrase means it's not comfortable.
Father and Daughter (2000)
I love forever, my father!
I was deeply touched by this film even though it is only nine minutes long. Firstly, I focused on the depth of love. In this story, the father might die in the lake and his daughter waits until she dies. She can't spend a long time with him, so her memory with him is also not too long. However, love is not a matter of the length of time. Next, I focused on the scene that the daughter can't go down near the lake with her family. In the scene, I think that she hopes to see her father again, but she can't accept his death for a long time. However, she can go down near the lake in the last scene. I think that she could finally accept her father's death because she is also going to die. The water took the father's life and when the water drains from the lake, she can see him again. I think 'water' is the key word. I can remember that my father loves me so much and I love him most in the world. I miss him so much. We never know when our lives may come to an end, so we should not forget the big love from among our loves.
