Bull (2021)

Wow, What A Film! A Must See.
6 August 2023
Came across this by sheer chance and decided to give it a watch. Am I glad I did. If you like the likes of, "Dead Man's Shoes", you will love this. It kept me glued to my set from start to finish. Some nice gruesome scenes thrown in as well. The story keeps you pondering about certain things until the last few minutes. Zero nudity, but hey, the blood and gore makes up for that. Neil Maskell stars as the main character, Bull. He's done this kinda role before oh so well in the likes of "Rise of The Footsoldier", and, "Bonded By Blood". (2 other brilliant films, by the way). Anyway, watch it, or Bull will come and find you!

Series 6 Still Brilliant Despite Cathy's Absence.
29 November 2022
Yes, you should all know by now that the actress who played Cathy (Doon Mackichan) isn't in the latest series (6). There has been a load of, "Oh woe is me, how will the show survive, etc?" The truth is the show is doing just fine without her. Series 6 is just as funny as any of the other 5. To be honest out of all the characters I found Cathy to be so annoying. In reality no one would put up with her. Her antics where way over the top for my liking. She was crass, vulgar, rude, obnoxious...Oh, I'm drifting here. Long may this show run. So enjoyable. Another hit from the BBC, to go alongside, "Ghosts", and, "Motherland".

Emotional Rollercoaster. Smith Fans Will Love It.
16 October 2022
Great to see so many familiar faces reappearing for this film. Plenty of Laughs, but oh boy, there are some heart wrenching moments as well. As per, top class performances from Jeff Anderson, Brian O'Halloran, the crazy Jason Mewes, and of course, Kevin Smith himself. Comedic moments galore and like other Kevin Smith movies you have the odd celebrity or two making an appearance. Decent story to boot as well. This fits neatly alongside the other 2 Clerk films and even explains reasons for stuff that occurred in the 1st film, like the closed shutters etc etc. Fans of the films will know what I'm referring too. A totally enjoyable excursion into the brilliant world of Kevin Smith. "In a row?????" Enjoy! The film, I meant.....

Very Slow Start But Great Once It Gets Going.
6 August 2022
Leaving behind the," How can a girl with basic tools etc take on a Predator etc?" thoughts and just watch it. Great story and the cinematography is stunning. Plenty of gung-ho scenes to keep you amused and a tiny bit of gore to boot. Would recommend to Predator fans.

A Really Enjoyable Romp With Some Nice Gore To Boot.
20 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Not your usual werewolf monster, full of hair and howling at the moon. This one is hairless and can attack people 24/7. Great cast with a believable story, if you get my drift? Two exposed breasts scenes, which is always a winner with me. As mentioned, there is a bit of gore which again, ticks the right boxes. I watched this thinking, "Here we go, someone gets bitten, full moon etc....", but, I was pleasantly surprised.

THE greatest Musical, EVER!!
3 January 2022
I'm not a fan of musicals, to be honest. But this one is just so magical and the soundtrack is fantastic. I think (maybe) people love it because for a lot of people it brings back memories of their high school days and for the likes of me living outside the USA, it's a time and a life I would of loved to have gone through.

Fantisco! BUT, Does everyone in Mexico Smoke?
23 December 2021
I haven't watched the previous Narcos series (will do now though) but I thoroughly enjoyed this Mexico one. Knowing that it's largely based on true events and people makes it more "realistic", if you like. It's one hell of a scary world to get into. As I have already said, well written, everyone seems to be smokers. I know that has absolutely nothing to do with anything, but deary me. ANYWAY, if you haven't seen this yet on Netflix I highly recommend it. Gritty, violent and a "tiny" bit of nudity. (Dammit). Binge watching at its finest. I heard there isn't going to be a 4th season whish is a damn shame.

Really Enjoyable Action Comedy, But.....
28 November 2021
In my humble opinion it lacked killings. The certificate should of been bumped up to the next level and not be on a "safe for kids to watch",one. It reminded me of the A-Team TV series back in the day, where hundreds of bullets are flying everywhere yet no one gets killed. Still, the movie itself I found to be entertaining and as per, Ryan Reynolds is on top form.

Pure Fun All The Way.
21 August 2021
Yet ANOTHER show I found well after it's 1st series had run. This reminds me of the 70's UK show, "The Ghosts of Motley Hall", which I remember watching when I came home from school back then. There was a Christmas episode of "Motley", where one of the "ghost" sorta goes back in time to see himself as a child and then remembers the interaction happening. A very sad moment, which even after all these years still plays on my mind.....ANYWAY, although this show has zero-ish bad language and ZERO female nudity, I love it. Cheesy at times but, oh lordy, do the characters grow on you. A honestly 100% fantastic show that gets you hooked from the 1st episode. Watch it!!!!!!

For Under 10 Years Of Age Only.
1 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I admit, I'm a bit of a fan of quite a few of the previous Fast films. Well, the 1st, the Rio and London ones. We all know the stunts are done by professionals and are put together in the editing room and in real life the drivers would be either killed or badly injured, but it "used" to be done so well that your mind sorta went with the flow and you believed it. Sort of. But this latest film I have go to say is dire. Gunmen with automatic rifles spraying lead at a man who is about 20-30 feet in front of them and not hitting him once? Travelling through a town, again automatic weapons fire and vehicles getting smashed left right and centre yet no one, not even stand byers getting injured? BUT, the best is left to last.... A car in space? Come on.... I personally think that this series, like the Marvel series has been well and truly bled dry. Time to hang up those car keys and retire. Oh yeah, and the haircuts on Letty and Cipher? Come on!!!!

So Good It Could Go On Forever.
31 July 2021
After having snippets rammed down my throat on Facebook I finally gave this show a looking at. Am I glad I did. Hysterical isn't the word. Rib tickling from start to finish. It's up there (in my opinion) with other great British comedy shows like, "The Office", "Extras", "Life's Too Short", "After Life"......I could go on and on....... I'm hoping there will be more series.

I prefer action/horror over sci-fi any day of the week, but I was pleasantly surprised with this film. Great story and the CGI is fantastic. Really well done action sequences and a great story to boot. For me this and "A Quiet Place II", are up there in my top 10 films of the year. Watch it and enjoy.

Ignore The Haters, Watch It!
15 May 2021
Really enjoyed this. Damn, that Angelina is one beautiful looking lady. Ahem. Jon Bernthal also stars, and he shines as per usual in his films. Some excellent scenery, great gunplay and a great story. If a film keeps me amused for its runtime then in my eyes it's done it's job. People who bitch about plots, "unbelievable" situations etc have got it all wrong. Just watch the thing.

Watch It! Watch It! And...... Watch It!

My, what a film. With Mads you know you are in for a thrill ride, and this film sure delivers. The action scenes aren't aplenty, but when they arrive they are well done and satisfactory. The humour is wacky, to say the least. I laughed out loud a few times, and I think it's a bit difficult to get humour across in films with a foreign language. There are plenty visual funny moments as well. Mads and the other 3 main actors bounce off each other brilliantly. Watch it, you will not be disappointed.

Wow, What a Film.

You have got to love French cinema. I was hoping this was gonna be an action packed movie, but I was wrong. Slow burner, but very thought provoking. Three cops, two are partners and the other newly assigned to the district and squad. He's shocked by their methods but they tell him its the only way to survive. The setting is do bleak it makes you realize that your own life and surroundings ain't so bad after all. Well worth a watch. 10/10.

Brilliant Brit Comedy With Plenty Of Laugh Out Loud Moments.
3 January 2021
As per usual with me I missed out of this show first time around. Only thru going over Netflix over Xmas did I discover it. I'm so glad I did. Don't expect another, "Inbetweeners", though. That show is about as subtle as a brick, but this show stands beside it as a classic comedy. I'm no prude and I'm all for bad language, nudity etc on screen but still lacks neither and it doesn't suffer for it. The acting and indeed the writing is top notch. As I said, plenty of laughing out loud moments, which, as I live alone must have scared my neighbours no end. I admit there are some really cringing moments, but, come on, what show doesn't have them? ("Friends", from start to finish in my book!) Anyway, a really enjoyable romp. Series 3, for me was the best and the last episode I admit will tug at your heart strings. It's the kind of show you don't want to end, put it that way. You get to love each and every character, from the teacher, who basically at ages 23, is more immature than his pupils, to the pupils themselves and the teachers dad played by Harry Enfield. Watch it!

More Tongue In Cheek Than the 1st, But Still One Great Film.
17 October 2020
I watched the 1st again before watching this one cos I'd kinda forgotten stuff. Some jokes are rehashed but to good use. When you watch this 2nd you will see what I mean. Plenty of gore (like the 1st), some great one liners and a fun story. You get what you pay for with a movie like this, fun, blood, humour and a good time. Well recommended. Zero nudity though. Dammit.

A Fantastic Show From Russia. A Must Watch!!
12 October 2020
Wow, I'm glad I clicked on this by pure fluke on Netflix. Really good story and excellent cast. Moments of horror and lil' bits of humour here and there. You really get on the side of these people trying to reach their destination thru a disease ravaged land, whilst trying to avoid the military who couldn't care who lived or died. Yet again, a really good looking cast amongst the women ( ahem...) and it's great to see the Russian makers aren't afraid of nudity, with the brief full frontal blimps. (Punches a fist into the air).... Only 8 episodes and to be honest I watched episodes 4 to 8 one after the other cos I was so engrossed. Catch the trailer and I promise you will be hooked.

Brilliant! Brilliant! Brilliant!
21 September 2020
Yet again, ignore the poor failed actors who leave bad reviews cos they couldn't cut it. Failed scriptwriters as well, maybe? Watch this film and prepare yourself for a rollercoaster of a ride that will keep you guessing till near the end. Fantastic acting from the main 3 cast members (mother, daughter and old creepy husband). Hell, even the dog put in a bone winning performance! Clever story with plenty of shocks, lotsa blood and gore and a nail biting finale. Honestly, if you get the chance to watch, then watch it. And you too will be like I was today, frothing at the mouth whilst trying to explain the plot to work mates without giving too much away!!!! 11/10. It's THAT good. Believe me. Anyway I'm off to look at some Russian dating sites. Purely for research, I might add....... ;)

Wow,what a great flick.Really enjoyed it.Some "historians" have left reviews ripping holes in the story about this and that, but who cares? Great claustrophobic feeling and some heart pounding moments.Yet again I found myself on my feet, shadow boxing for all my worth.Honestly, one brilliant film. You'd be a dummkopf to miss it! Great Film With Some Good Scare Moments.
21 August 2020
Based on fact, which gives it that extra chill factor. Got to say,the 4 main stars (the kids) have got a bright future in the acting game should they continue to pursue it. A well made enjoyable romp into the world of the Paranormal, hammering home the message that you should never dabble in the Occult without knowing the facts. Well worth a watch.

One roller coaster of a film.Laugh a minute. It's the type of film you'll have to watch over and over to take in all the jokes, both spoken and visual. De Niro and Efron are on fine form. Danny Glover is his oh so fleeting appearance is fantastic. He asks his old 'Nam veteran buddy (De Niro) who Afron is: "Who's the lesbian? Is he here to scissor with me?" Honestly, you will piss yourself laughing at a lot of the scenes. I wont spoil it,but the photo slide scene towards the end will have you laughing out loud. BRILLIANT!!

Ignore the Haters. Action All The Way.
20 June 2020
Oh my,when are people going to realise the aim is to be entertained for 90+ minutes when watching a film. Not bang on about this and that. The cast, story, locations etc etc.Just enjoy films for what they are, pure escapism.I bet you the haters rave about the likes of harry Potter. Get real. This film ticks all the boxes in my opinion. Then again, who I am,eh? Well, not a bitter Potter fan that's for sure.

Ignore The Haters.A really Funny Show.
4 June 2020
Maybe the one liners where too subtle for most people but I found it very entertaining and had plenty of laugh out loud moments. The Inbetweeners was like a bands first album for the writers. Fans always look at the following album as not quite as good as the bands debut, but in fact the 2nd album in a lot of cases is way better,or near as dammit. (Motley Crue, for example... ) To be honest if you don't like this show then you cannot be a fan of The Office (UK),Extras,Life's Too Short and After Life.

This show has it all, plenty of humour but plenty of thought provoking moments to boot.Sheer lump in your throat time as you feel for this poor soul who so desperately misses his deceased wife. Messages aplenty as well throughout about the meaning of life.Heart warming, heart breaking and rib tickling funny. It's a must watch show.If it doesn't get you emotional then I'm afraid you have a cold heart. Well done,Ricky!!!
