Felix Finds Out (1924)
Interesting Felix Short Film
Felix Finds Out it a Felix the Cat short film from 1924 made by Pat Sullivan.
Felix finds a nickle on the ground, so he uses it to buy him and his friend Willie a Hot Dog. The Hot Dog runs away, but they eventually get a Hot Dog feast. Willie gets an Assignment from his teacher to find out why the moon shines. Felix goes to find out for him, and accidentally drinks some moonshine.
Felix Finds Out seems like an early version of Felix Woos Whoopee to me. The animation is primitive compared to today's, but it manages to get the job done. I rate Felix Finds Out 6 out of 10.
Triple Trouble (1918)
Not as bad as people say
WARNING: SMALL SPOILER AHEAD
Triple Trouble is a Charlie Chaplin film made by Essanay in 1918, almost 2 years after Chaplin left the company. It was made by putting together unused Chaplin footage from 1916 and splicing it together with newly-filmed footage. And surprisingly, it's not that bad. The plot is slightly hard to follow, but the gags make up for it. There is one obvious mistake though. When Charlie is running away, he isn't wearing his jacket. But in the next shot, he has his jacket, as well as his cane, which he had left behind. Despite it's flaws, I rate Triple Trouble 5 out of 10.
