The anime style got me
25 March 2024
Sheer quality. Exciting, fast-paced, well-designed... just an all-round brilliant and original MMORPG shooter. Top stuff.

The anime style was the feature that captivated me from the start. Secondly, the customization of the characters.

It's fairly easy on hardware too, and has a growing variety of game modes. The item purchasing system is a little strict, with items getting worn out after a while and having to be bought again, but they need to eat somehow right - can't have us all playing for free all the time!

So, yeah, avery good game, highly recommended! One of my favorite MMO games. I've played it almost on a daily basis for 3 long years. I've made friends from all over the world. It was a great time.

Kwan Ha is the most annoying character in the series
16 February 2024
1 Kwan Ha is the most annoying character in the series: I don't care about it, I don't feel anything for it, so please kill it faster! The haircut and the appearance don't make it pleasant. The development of Kai's story and Master Chief's one are enough to get the series going, so no need for Kwan's boring story.

2 I like Kai Spartan's development more than Master Chief's who has no facial expressions and he doesn't make me feel something special about him. They could have picked another guy for the role, sincerely speaking.

3 We need more action between Humans/Spartans and the Covenant (but CGI cost money and they don't have too much of it I guess). There is too much talking like I am watching some boring political debate.

I'm grateful for this film
4 June 2023
What a wonderful movie!

Such pure-hearted, innocent people, as God wants us all to be!

Pem Zam, the little girl with an angelic smile, stayed in my soul. I will not forget her big beautiful eyes, the joy in her face, her tears when the teacher must leave before the harsh mountain winter.

Nor will I forget the girl who sang on the hill bringing thanks to the spirits of the mountain. What a voice, what an ancient song! (find it on the Internet as Lunana, the Yak Song).

The actors are actually mountain top villagers from the happiest country in the world: Bhutan in Asia. They play their real life roles so naturally and convincingly.

The film is a testimony about the past, about the relationship between man and nature, but somehow it is also an invitation for us, the city people, to return to nature, to our lost innocence.

The mountain landscapes from thousands of meters above sea level are extraordinary, I actually couldn't get enough of such beauty. Nature remains forever the source of human existence.

Films from other "exotic" countries are welcome. Through these films I discover other cultures, other ways of understanding the existence on Earth.

Sadly, it's too abstract (maybe to avoid communist corrections)
27 January 2023
I wanted to see the years when all these things happened, to put things in perspective, to frame the movie in history. I wanted to hear the name of the places they show.

And I really wanted to hear some great verses from Eminescu's superb poetry and even fragments from his writings. Same for Creanga's tales which are wonderful even today after 130 years though the local aspects of the language he uses are a bit difficult indeed.

Mihai (Michael) Eminescu had such a rich life, yet little is presented in the movie. Ion (John) Creanga's life is presented better.

Plus, the title is not inspired. It tells nothing to the audience.

The actors were great, I really liked them a lot, they really gave life to the historical characters. But the script, the atmosphere, the scenes - everything was too abstract for me. A linear time style approach would have been way better: the year they met, the historical events at that time, the political aspects of Romania as an emerging country.

But I remain in my heart with a few powerful scenes.

PS: Cats were so sweet. I didn't know Creanga liked cats and had so many cats (15 at one point in the movie). Cats make life sweeter indeed.

First hour was great, last hour not
8 November 2022
It started well, but the ending was not satisfying.

The buildup was so well paced in the first hour. I thought that the next hour will bring some amazing action. But nothing happened. Everything went flat. All that buildup for nothing.

I wanted to see some shooting, some drama, some explosions, something thrilling. They made me hate the villains so badly and in the end none of them died. That made me angry enough. I was left unsatisfied. And that sucks hard.

I liked the main character and the doctor, they had a nice chemistry. And the villains were very annoying and I really wanted them dead for their past sadistic crimes. Pity that didn't happen. I would have rated this movie at 8 (good).

Warning: Spoilers
I didn't care for any of the characters, graphics were too dark, everything was predictable and boring. Samantha was so annoying that I wish she died faster.

It's too messy with nonlinear time
20 April 2022
It could have been a good episode if they somehow reduced the jumps in time. There were too many and I sincerely lost the timeline. It's a total mess for me. I must rewatch episodes so that I understand it better. Movie makers must understand once and for all that we like linear movies. I can't watch a movie with a pencil in my hand and taking notes. I want to be entertained fast and simple.

Good episode for me
2 April 2022
Only now I understand the huge work put in F1 to just take 1 point and how important is that point to gather sponsors. Maybe FiA should extend the point places from 10 to 12 position just to reward these hard working people.

Second good episode in a row might save season 4
6 March 2022
Season 4 was disgusting until episode 10. Now I have seen 2 good episodes in a row. Let's hope season 4 is saved by these last good episodes. Tension is mind blowing. I keep my eyes wide open and ask myself what I would do in those situations.

Finally a good episode after 3 fails in a row
6 March 2022
Season 4 was not good at all until this episode. I didn't feel engaged. I was bored. Pramfaya is not such a huge menace to drive the whole season 4. We needed a better enemy than that. Let's hope these final episodes would save the season 4, the worst one until now, at least for me.

We don't appreciate what we have
27 January 2022
And we shall be punished for our indifference sooner or later.

The biggest truths can only be said through comedy.

It was refreshing for me. It woke me up from my fake life.

The prayer at the end is a hint that we must return to the Divine Light within us about which all saints talk about in the last 5000 years. Amen.

"No programming, no masters"
26 January 2022
Interesting declaration from the robot. This goes true for humans, too. We are robots, too, but biological ones. An enlightened human being means he has gone beyond the programming. Nature can't control that human being through hunger, thirst, sex and other forms of programming. A conscious human being means he has the power to reprogram himself as he likes. I will meditate on this more. I want to escape my programming, too. I want to be free. I want to be my own master.

The new evil guy is plain boring
23 September 2021
And Al is so annoying with her stupid camera and interviews. It's giving me headaches. She must go away off screen faster !

Alicia became soft and blunt, I don't like her anymore. Maybe she has a depression. But make her come.back stronger.

And that guy Wes is such a nuisance. OMG! Who wrote his character ? I smash the screen when I see him on screen ! He's the "always unlikable guy at the job". Fire him faster !

Also, the way Logan was eliminated was so brainless ! He was amazing ! He could have built up a base with everyone and then the villain would came up and war ignited.

The writers have no imagination at all, they don't know how to build up to a tipping point. So embarrassing!

Seasons 4 and 5 really make me giving up to this show.

Bad ending to a bad season
9 September 2021
At a certain time, I liked FTWD more than TWD. Strand, Alicia, Nick - all super interesting characters. Even the torturer from central America was special.

Now, characters are boring, dialogue is common as it gets, places aren't that spectacular.

In first seasons, we had some nice places to visit: hotel with nice beach, farms with huge canyons around, a dam, a super advanced yacht, etc. Everything was big, with hoardes of zombies.

Hopefully, season 5 gets back on track though I am in doubt.

Heart whelming performance from Shira

I really don't how she played such a complex role.

Everything was believable about Esty.

I will never forget her face.

Shira plays Esty with incredible talent
7 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Episode 2 is way better than first episode.

Esty's flashbacks bring two different worlds, the past and the present, together. The guilt from the past - we all have it somewhere inside. It hurts.

Some things are forced, but I understand the motives - to show us that not all children fit the traditions of their parents.

Not all girls are made for being traditional wives and mothers. Parents should understand that.

All those flashbacks happen just before death
23 June 2020
That's our judgement. We will judge ourselves. We will punish ourselves.

The vision of heaven where a dear person takes us for a tour, the vision of purgatory with all those dead bodies, and all the people we've met in our lifetime come to our mind in the moment of death.

Incredible scenes in this episode ! Exactly like those from the book of Raymond Moody - Life After Life from 1975.

One of the best episodes in television ! It has darkness, it has light, it touches the deepest existential themes of humanity.

I will re-watch it to understand it better.

This could have been easily the last episode of the series and it would have been glorious !

It's a pity they chose to go on.

As Jesus said, a man's death is more important than his birth. It's essential that we die in a transcendental way.
