Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends (2004)
Very original with one major flaw
This is the single most original cartoon that I have ever seen and it's extremely creative and the premise is great if you're a child, but adults will come up with too many questions without answers. Which is why it's a good thing this show is for children. My major gripe with this show is the character of Bloo. He is legitimately the worst character on the show and makes it unwatchable for me. He's selfish, narcissistic, and extremely lazy. He's also very unkind to his supposed friends. He uses all of his friends and for me he doesn't really have any redeeming qualities. He also never learns a lesson and people just continually let him be a spoiled brat and walk all over his friends. I don't understand how he's the most sought after friend instead of someone like Wilt (chamberlain haha).
Las Vegas (2003)
I hate Piper
I'm going to start out by saying that the first few seasons were absolutely wonderful but it went way downhill once Mary and Ed left. Tom Selleck is amazing as always but Piper is extremely annoying, entitled, and whiney and it feels like she never shuts up. Also Delinda is a tramp but she grew on me. I also love the characters of Polly and Mitch because they're hilarious and charming. It's a very inclusive show without it being all about inclusivity and they don't shove it in your face like other shows. It feels like many of the characters are there to further the plot and to not have inclusivity for the sake of inclusivity. I still hate Piper and secretly hope she flies off the roof like a certain former owner.
Charmed (1998)
Went off the rails after season 6
We can all agree that charmed can be a little cheesy and a it relies too heavily on the looks of the cast by having them in skimpy/ revealing outfits almost every day. I'm pretty sure in reality the girls wouldn't be able to wear half the stuff they wear to work on the show without getting written up. Example: Paige wearing a belly shirt when she works for social services would never fly in reality. It's a wonderful show from the late 90s early 2000s that I have watched all the way through a few times. I do think the show went off the rails after the season 6 finale, but the seasons before that are very addicting. However, I do think season 5 got a lot more campy. Unfortunately with Leo going a little nuts and adding Billie and Christy it kind of killed it for me. I also feel like the girls did Darrel dirty by using him as much as they did and putting his life in danger so many times. They were never as grateful to him and his family as I felt they should have been. I also do prefer Prue being on the show but Paige is a good substitute.
Making the Cut (2020)
political garbage and clearly fixed
This show is literally horrible. I wanted to like it because I loved Project Runway but the first season was so obviously fixed and they seemed to shove messages down our throats in almost every episode including in season 2. I'm not even going to watch season 3. Not to mention that I dislike Winnie Harlow because it felt like she was just there to be fashionable and it didn't seem like she knew that much about the industry. I didn't like her on ANTM and I especially dislike her on this show. Tim is still my favorite part of the show but did we need to see all of their side adventures? More fashion less adventures would be great.
Chicago Fire (2012)
Too much sex and politics
I want to start out by saying I really liked this show when it came out; however, it's not very realistic as with all shows about first responders. I just hate how literally almost every single episode has at least a minute+ Of gratuitous sex which I find to be very unnecessary in that many episodes. Also this show has gotten very political and I don't just mean real life politics. It just makes Chicago look like a more corrupt city than I initially thought. Also it's like they're playing social justice bingo with every new cast member. It seems like this show just has a quota they have to hit and it grates on my nerves.
Good Witch (2015)
The final season is extremely cringey
The first few seasons were enjoyable and oh so typical of hallmark. It is a little bit of a sleepy show and there really isn't a ton of magic in the series but the final season makes me cringe. I also can't stand the character of joy. I really hate shows that do this whole will they won't they thing between guys and girls and then the girl turns out to be a lesbian. It's completely insulting to a normal person's intelligence. Also if joy was a man and she told a female that she needed to smile more all of the feminists would be furious but because she's a girl nobody bats an eye. I doubt I will even finish the season.
ParaNorman (2012)
Some humor is overly gross
I think it's a good movie for maybe older kids but some of the humor caused me to cringe a bit because it was unnecessarily gross especially when it was a something that went on longer than was necessary. I also didn't appreciate the political humor in a kid's movie or the sly shot at the police. It's not bad but it's nowhere near as good as something like coralline.
The Bureau of Magical Things (2018)
Very cliched, but I couldn't look away. I am undecided on it.
First off this is a very cliched show and sometimes it made me scream at the TV because characters would do so many illogical things but I couldn't look away. It's definitely not as good as Harry Potter, then again that's a good thing since I hate Harry Potter and all of its plot holes and the fact that it steals a lot from other British works. My nephew will like it, but I do think it's a little strange that there are only fairies and elves as far as magical beings. I also enjoyed the fact that the main storyline is pretty original which is a breath of fresh air for a show about magic. I can't tell if it's a car accident that you can't look away from or if it's actually good but I'm definitely going to watch season 2.
