National Treasure: Edge of History (2022)
Good and yet very bad
This series is actually very enjoyable if you can get over one glaring problem. Every 10 min the writers felt they needed to make a social justice comment. The characters constantly spew out irrelevant and non-sensical statements about racism, poverty, indigenous issues, LGTBQ issues, feminist, etc, etc, etc. That's all and fine but they make no sense to the story or the series. They are just there hanging out like a big zit on their nose. Could they not just make a National Treasure story? It was compelling and exciting. The characters were well developed. But I suspect that one of the new "diversity" producers or writers got to the script and simply added all this nonsense. It really does take away from the series and is a major reason it was not renewed.
Britannia (2017)
Starts great but ends horribly
Season 1 was excellent (9/10), season 2 was middling (4/10), season 3 was an unmitigated disgrace (-10000/10). Couple of stars because season 1 was so good then completely downhill. Reilly and Morrisey were great in season 1 given to the excellent story and writing. Along with the relationship between Cait and Divis. Season 2 was OK but the whole Veran vs Haran lasted way too long and was boring. Season 3 was awful - too much of the sorceress wife, cannibalism (why?), and turning Aulus into a complete and utter wimp. Bringing back the Queen Regni was also a mistake. Then the complete lack of an ending since they were probably hoping for a season 4.
