Arthur, malédiction (2022)
Wasn't expecting anything, still disappointed
Look did I love Arthur and the minimoys as a kid? Yes obviously and I grew with the French version so the fact that this movie is French wasn't surprising. Sadly, it's clear that this movie is desperate for money. From the marketing, it looked like the coming back of the minimoys. Spoiler alert: they never show up.
It's a very bad attempt at horror from Luc Besson, it's even sadder when you learn that this movie was suppose to be made by students from Besson's film school but he took back the project from them to make it to his image.
Nothing original, it's just boring and predictable with a very annoying ending.
Don't waste your money, skip it.
DuckTales (2017)
Good reboots exist and this the proof
The great thing when you remake a series on classics characters that had different continuity depending on the creator, a reboot can work. For the one discovering Duckburg the first time, you will be introduced to amazing characters some who are already famous like Scrooge McDuck or Donald Duck but new one as well like Lena or even Della Duck. For long time fans, you will enjoy every small details from the original show or even from the Carl Barks and Don Rosa's comics. An amazing adventure, interesting villains and lovable characters, Ducktales 2017 has everything for everyone of the family no matter their ages.
