Must watch for both sports fans and non-sports fans.
9 September 2022
One thing I love about this show is that it comes from the perspective of non-football fans. I never watched football (other than American football) but recently moved to Europe, and was always unable to connect with why it was the worlds most popular sport. This series makes it clear. I would recommend this series to anyone who doesn't appreciate sports, as it really puts a focus on why sports matter to people and to their communities.

It's perfect as it also has the David vs. Goliath, underdog story. The passion of the community and players is undeniable.

The complexity of running a club is another factor that is just extremely interesting.

And on top you have Rob and Ryan who are undeniably both hilarious and fish out of water.

It's a fascinating and oddly gripping show that anyone, both fans of the sport and not, can appreciate. And I feel it's difficult to not emotionally connect to the journey of every person focused on, whether it be the fans, the players, the owners.

Must watch for Espionage film fans

No details to spoil. This is really well written and directed. Very much worth the watch. One of the very best espionage films out there. Highly recommended.

Highly underrated

Not sure why this has such a low rating. It is filled with incredible acting, and broaches a heartfelt and wildly serious topic on assisted suicide. Tragic and uplifting simultaneously, it addresses death and life in a fantastic form. Not for everyone, but definitely for anyone who has thought about their own demise or has known people with health issues that destroy their lives.

Moses Storm: Trash White (2022 TV Special)
10/10
Excellent.

Fantastic storytelling-based comedy special. The direction was superb, and the set design unique. I was not familiar with Moses going in, but I am now a fan. Definitely recommended for any comedy fans, and anyone interested in learning about poverty as well. Blending both the tragedy and comedy of life is his style, and it works well.

10/10.

Silly inaccuracies ruined the film
18 July 2021
Space walks without carabiners? Really? I mean if you are desperate for drama and can't build it any other way, sure. But it completely makes the film seem almost like something I would expect as a students senior project. Acting was okay, and plot was okay. Despite the okay-ness on those levels, it was unwatchable due to the unbelievable actions of the Crew. 3 stars at best.

Disturbing truths that haunt
28 June 2021
Incredible story of a man who overcame the most difficult circumstances one could ever imagine. Outrageous and frustrating, this film will challenge any American in their views of what their country really is, and does. As an expat who left the US for the very topics addressed in the film, this brought up so many emotions about justice, retribution, and the idea of whether or not a person can change. But above all, it showcases the brutal reality of the United States and it's War of Terror. Extremely hard to watch. But extremely necessary.

9/10, highly recommended.

Coincidence or fate?

Beautiful film! Highly recommended. I laughed, cried, and felt just about everything in between. Exploring cause and effect in a fresh and poetic manner makes for a very moving and interesting watch. Fantastic acting, and very developed characters. Do yourself a favor and watch this tonight.

The Bubble (2021)

Diagonale - Graz AT
12 June 2021
I was lucky enough to see this film at the 2021 Diagonale Film Fest in Graz AT.

Excellent doc exploring the peculiar Central Florida development, The Villages, with interviews from both sides of 'The Bubble'.

The political, cultural, economic, and environmental impacts of the development provides ample material to delve into, making this a rather engrossing film.

Excellent production, and beautifully made. Highly recommend giving this a watch, both for Americans and non. 9/10.
