A RomCom worth seeing twice!
19 February 2024
I saw this movie twice, in December and again for the Valentine's Day Encore.

Love rom-coms and this one was easy to love. Glen Powell (loved him in Maverick) and Sydney Sweeney (first time seeing her in anything) worked well together. They had great chemistry and the best banter. The movie was funny, romantic, and easy on the eyes!

I am a sucker for a fun rom-com. Do RomComs have critics? Yes. Are they always great? No. For me, Anyone But You delivered. It was the best girls night out movie to enjoy.

I would love to see Sydney and Glen together again-they just make sense and have an insanely great chemistry that needs to be used again.

Royally bad and embarrassing
10 December 2022
I never heard of Meghan Markle before she married into royalty (I live in the US) ....I take that back. I watched a Hallmark Channel movie with Meghan in it but didn't know who she was or realize that she was in that Hallmark movie until after she landed her Prince.

...and Harry and Meghan's ever changing story of their lives is written and performed like a very bad Hallmark movie.

I really hope this "documentary" is a wake up call to audiences worldwide. Harry and Meghan are not giving and charitable people. The only charity they support is themselves. Everything they do is deliberate, calculated, and comes with a price tag. All the money that has been thrown to these two undeserving people to trash their families is embarrassing. Entitled, privileged, delusional, out of touch with reality, talentless.

It's also obvious that Harry and Meghan love the press and paparazzi.... BUT ONLY when it's the narrative that they want. So it's so great to see that the liberal and conservative media are finally able to agree on something-Harry and Meghan's "documentary" was royally bad and self-serving.

A Holiday Spectacular (2022 TV Movie)

Spectacular!
28 November 2022
What a spectacular movie! Ginna and Derek had a natural warmth and chemistry-and are a very talented duo! I loved the story and the full circle beautiful movie ending. It's hard to beat a New York City movie setting, the real Rockettes, multi-talented Broadway stars, Ann Margaret, and a well-written story from start to finish. I also loved the message this movie delivered to little girls watching from home-don't settle. Go after your dreams and dream big!

This movie made me think of the magic I experienced when my parents took me to NYC for the first time to see the Rockettes. This movie really is a love letter to all the hard work, talent, and passion that goes into delivering the magic to Radio City Music Hall visitors every single holiday season.

Favorite movie from Time to Come Home for Christmas Series!
27 November 2022
Tyler Hynes delivered a funny and quirky character last week in Three Wise Men and then delivered us a heartfelt, deeper character with more emotion tonight in Time for Him to Come Home for Christmas. This is my favorite movie from the Time to Come Home series. Tyler and Holland Roden had a fantastic chemistry. This was my first time seeing Holland and I was impressed with her talent and depth. Tyler and Holland brought out the best in each other onscreen. I also loved seeing Steve Bacic in the movie. His storyline weaved very nicely with Tyler/Holland storyline. The movie ending was beautifully done for all of the characters-and the lovely music throughout the movie was a nice touch. TFHTCHFC was a good cry type of movie that delivered a heartwarming and happy ending!

Haul Out The Holly delivers the funny!
27 November 2022
Haul Out The Holly was funny and enjoyable for the whole family to watch together! Lacey and Wes were great together (funny, great chemistry and banter!) and the supporting cast added so much to the movie. The two surprise cameos were an added bonus! My only critique would be that I wish they let Melissa Peterman go full out funny. She was hilarious in Reba and Baby Daddy and with the Haul Out The Holly storyline, Melissa's trademark full out funny would've fit in well. Overall, I really enjoyed the movie and think the change up with Haul Out The Holly and Three Wise Men and a Baby storylines worked very well for Hallmark this year!

Funny and well-written movie!
20 November 2022
Well done, {Wise} Men, Baby, and Hallmark! I loved the Campbell/Walker/Hynes dynamic and their Nutcracker dance.

The movie was funny, unique, had a dash of romance and not your traditional Christmas movie storyline.... I LOVED it all. This movie was a welcome change from "a guy or girl leaves city, goes home to small town and falls for their plaid wearing ex from their past."

Also, a big shout out to Kimberley Sustad and Paul Campbell for their wonderful and entertaining writing. I also liked Kimberley's surprise movie cameo!

I really hope Paul and Kimberley continue to write for Hallmark-I love their writing style!

Heartwarming and full of Christmas magic!
19 November 2022
All the heart eyes 😍 and feels-this movie was goood! Inventing the Christmas Prince had it all...Fun and fresh storyline, strong characters embracing new beginnings, the joy of a child believing in the holiday magic, romance AND a fairy tale ending with all of the warm and fuzzies that you want from a Christmas movie! Tamera Mowry and Ronnie Rowe had a great chemistry. The little star of the show (Isabel Birch) was adorable and added a nice heartwarming touch to all of her scenes. The mother/daughter scenes were great as well thawing out "Mr. Scrooge" in her scenes with Ronnie. Well done, Hallmark!

Justin & Sarah pairing for the WIN!
19 November 2022
Wow! Lifetime delivered it and then some with Reindeer Games Homecoming.

I echo others with wanting more of Justin and Sarah-they had an amazing chemistry, which being honest...a good amount of TV movies truly lack. The movie storyline was fun and unique. It was a fresh take and break from the usual Christmas movie storylines. I also loved the sense of community the movie had with the competition feature.

And can I just end with how *naturally* gorgeous Sarah Drew is? She looked stunning and rocked it with very little make up.

I loved this movie and recommend adding it to your Christmas Watchlist this year!

Loved this movie!
15 November 2022
I loved this one. I also loved the movie's message about embracing imperfections and being present.

I really liked the ensemble cast, storylines, and how they all weaved together-thanks to The Golden Dragon. The stories were rich in family and Christmas traditions.

The writing was nicely done and delivered heartwarming moments from start to finish.

Also, I'm putting in a request for Hallmark to do a movie with Antonio Cupo and Sarah Canning together...they had a great chemistry in this movie that could really shine in a movie with the two of them as leads.

I definitely recommend this movie!

The Royal Nanny (2022 TV Movie)

"Royally" enjoyed this movie!
15 November 2022
I love following the real Royal Family but I'm typically not a big fan of Royal TV movies on Hallmark Channel...BUT The Royal Nanny had a mystery twist to it and because of that-I "royally" enjoyed it! It was a nice change to have a mystery element versus the overused Royal movie tropes.

Rachel Skarsten played the undercover Nanny part wonderfully. Pair that with great chemistry with Dan Jeannote and an enjoyable supporting cast made this a fun and heartwarming Christmas movie to watch!

I hope Hallmark Channel continues to include Christmas movies with a mystery twist for the years to come!!

Wanted to love this movie
15 November 2022
I wanted to love this movie because Alison and Luke, are two of my longtime favorites on Hallmark Channel. Add in Marlo...I thought it would be great but to me, it fell short.

While the movie had some good moments, it won't be a favorite Sweeney or MacFarlane movie for me. The over the top family drama took away from the movie being a magical and heartwarming movie. The cast deserved a better written storyline.

It's also a shame if this is Luke Macfarlane's last Hallmark movie. He had limited screen time in the movie and Hallmark didn't put him on the movie poster...the guy has delivered many successful Hallmark movies and just made his big screen debut.

Good to see Lindsay back!
15 November 2022
It's so good to see Lindsay Lohan back! I enjoyed this movie a lot. It was festive and heartwarming and to me, that's what Christmas movies are all about! I like the "forget who I am" trope and it worked well in this movie with Chord and Lindsay. They had a good chemistry between them. Olivia Perez was a little shining star as Chord's onscreen daughter-she was so adorable in all of her scenes! I loved seeing Jack Wagner back on my TV again to play a father role in the movie. Definitely recommend watching-Falling for Christmas is a great choice for Christmas movie night for family or date night!

A Fun Christmas Movie
6 November 2022
Lights, Camera, Christmas! Was a fun Christmas movie to watch. I think the Kimberley Sustad and John Brotherton pairing worked very well. I love the "big star falls for down to earth/girl next door" movie trope. Kim and John had a fun banter and chemistry together. I also liked the movie's supporting characters and the side storyline of the estranged directors finding their way back to each other. The movie's last minute conflict and ending seemed a bit rushed but overall, Lights, Camera, Christmas! Was a fun Christmas movie...and it was nice to see Kimberley Sustad as a Hallmark movie lead again!

A 2022 Christmas movie winner!
6 November 2022
Sometimes some of my "pre-season Christmas movie picks" end up being a let down and others (like this movie) end up being a pleasant surprise. I absolutely loved Ghosts of Christmas Always and the movie's new twist on a classic! This was my first time seeing Kim Matula and Ian Harding. They had a lovely chemistry and sparkled in their Hallmark debut-And I will tune in every single time "Carl Winslow" is in a movie (more of him, please!) The "scrooging" ghosts had a fun and fresh dynamic together. This was a heartwarming movie that really checked off all my boxes for a feel good Christmas movie. My family will watch every Christmas season!

Not what I expected
30 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I was looking forward to this movie but it wasn't what I expected it to be. I was hoping for a well-written story about honoring the love of your past and embracing your future after loss. The ending was very far fetched and makes you wonder why Steve Lund and his talent were in this movie? So he could be the stand-in fiancé for two hours and then dumped right before his friend comes back from the dead? Hey, friend-while you were gone for three years, oh yea, I was with your wife? The way it was written took away from the love story with her missing husband and made you feel bad for Lund's character dealing with on and off treatment after Cahill's character happily accepted his proposal. I adore Erin Cahill's work, she's very talented and one of my favorite leading ladies in Christmas movies but this movie's storyline recipe wasn't my cup of tea.

Loved the Jesse/Vanessa pairing!
24 July 2022
It was great to see Jesse Hutch back on Hallmark-and with Vanessa Lengies (loved her on NBC's American Dreams series). They had a great chemistry together and the movie was very heartwarming and Christmas-y. Hallmark ended Christmas in July on a high note with this movie.

One of the best!
10 July 2022
I absolutely loved this movie. Five More Minutes will go down as one of my all-time favorite Hallmark Christmas movies. I related to this storyline as many of us will who watch. When a movie hits real life heartstrings, it's a sign of good writing and acting. I wouldn't change anything about this movie. The storyline and cast were wonderful. I highly recommend Five More Minutes!

Well done, CBS
10 July 2022
I hope CBS continues to make Christmas movies because I loved A Christmas Proposal! The chemistry between Adam Rodriguez and Jessica Camacho (LOVE her on All Rise!) was great and I enjoy the pretend-to-be-my-girlfriend storylines. I also loved the diversity that this movie showcased. Funny, beautiful holiday sets and a great cast!

Wow! This was a funny and heartwarming Christmas movie. Bethany Joy Lenz is very talented and adored-she is the perfect leading lady for Hallmark favorite, Tyler Hynes. They had a great chemistry that wasn't forced. The entire cast made this movie enjoyable from start to finish.

Love a December wedding!
10 July 2022
A December wedding! I can relate to that as a December bride myself almost 14 years ago later this month. I loved this movie because of the excellent chemistry between Emily Osment (she comes across so real and down to earth) and Casey Deidrick (more of him on Hallmark, please!). They just clicked in this movie and I enjoyed the pairing from start to finish.

Different feel to this mystery
10 July 2022
This Aurora Teagarden movie definitely had a scarier, creepy vibe to it compared to the other Aurora movies, which I would consider "cozy mysteries". With that being said, I still liked it. I liked that this mystery involved a lot of the cast. I loved the cameos of Candace and Lexa's daughters as Teen Aurora and Teen Sally. The ratings were also very favorable. I wonder along with others if this will end up being the last Aurora movie or if more will be coming.
