A bit of fun but no LotR

A wizard, nope not really! Other worlds? Maybe, but it all looks like Utah to me. The story is very flat and pretty straightforward. An ex-army guy buys an old farm with all the old secrets and takes over from a previous defender. Then you have a Princess to save.

After all the massive firepower in one arsenal vs an army of orcs, who keep raising from the dead, appearing in other places to die again against some shockingly poor visuals in another place.

I have to mention the makeup here as the orcs looks really good, whoever was behind that did a really good job and we must give the film credit here for that, as this was one of the few things that showed production value. The costume design was also fairly good.

The acting, so so. And there we go, not a bad watch, not a long film and I am sure a lot of people will be satisfied and enjoy the movie.

Two halves

The first half of the film feels boring, however it does get better, more intense. I can not fault the acting, but the execution could have been a lot better.

If you played the game it's not worth it.

I've played the game on the PS4 and sadly this is just the same storyline with extra bits. It would of been better to have an original story, sadly they didn't go down this path and although I watched this film, which seems well executed, nothing new was offered and the flavour didn't seem to work.

Pure Genius

This is probably the best cartoon series I know or have ever watched. Every episode is a beautiful piece of artwork, the accompanying music adds mountains to the flavour. Highly recommend every person who loves manga or animation to watch this.

The kill count continues
15 June 2019
The film started off straight after where the last film left it, with John Wick running, surviving for his life. I have to say I rather enjoyed this film, this really turned into an art form of every which way you can kill someone!

I actually laughed at how ridicules this gotten at times, what a head spinner!

At multiple points it felt like I was watching a computer game, it's as if Call of Duty had come to life. The use of weapons, the angle of the shot, the way in which they have achieved every element of the film.

You get a breather in the middle of film when John meets the top of the chain of bad guys then it's straight back into the action. By the end you are left hanging wondering where they are going to from here, what ever happens in the next film I have a feeling it's going to be as good as this one.

Batman lost in translation?
30 October 2018
What on earth just happened? Batman teleported to feudal Japan along with everyone else from Arkam. What happened next was a miss-match of Japanese culture of everything. Sadly this was more of a unique mess than a unique action classic.
