The Witches (2020)
A film you probably won't watch again
The Anjelica Houston one is so much better. I've watched that several times. I've seen this version once and that was enough. This is just a remake that shouldn't have been made for the reasons it was made that doesn't have the quality of acting or excellent cast of the earlier version.
Plenty (1985)
Dreary, boring, non-eventful
The first 15 minutes seemed to be very badly acted and on reflection I should of gone with my gut and deleted this garbage. Literally very little happens at all. Just follows the life of a woman and her using other people for her own gain seems a little far fetched; She's just a bit mentally unstable.
Old (2021)
Typical ride of a story from shyam as usual
Nothing particularly exciting but pretty good and worth a watch. Like nothing I've seen before. Good cast of actors too.
Voyagers (2021)
Sci and a little fi
It's just a futuristic space set Lord of the Flies.
The Woman in the Window (2021)
Enjoyable movie
Not as suspenseful as it probably could have been. Great cast. Great plot. Worked out pretty much at the start who the badie was even before the deed was done, just not sure who the victim was.
Stowaway (2021)
Fairly slow and non eventful
Spoilers: Very slow and not suspenseful at all. Crew seemed very untrained for this amazing mission to Mars. How the stowaway was accidentally screwed behind a panel that barely fit his frame was never explained. Really no backup oxygen supply? Collection of the oxygen cylinder was laughable.
End of Watch (2012)
Too slow.
Too slow to get to the actual main point. Technically a drama until then but not very engaging.
The Trust (2016)
Quite good but ended poorly
I'd say it's a little slow and the characters were a bit odd and had some incongruous quirks. I don't want to say more without spoiling it. When it gets to end you'll probably say what a waste of time like I did.
Colonia (2015)
Good film about Pinochet right regime
A probably too light a take on the horrors of Pinochet effects on Chile however the acting and story is fine and based on real events to some extent. Very watchable.
The Point of No Return (2020)
Not very good at all
First half is super slow and little happens. Picks up in the second half with the odd thing explained in flashbacks. Neal Ward, to me, played the only believable character. Historically innacurracy was apparent throughout. Not really much at all happens. One thing was apparent, it seems soldiers have a endless supply of cigarretes and the female characters were always well made up. Even one of the men had beautiful manicured eyebrows.
The Merry Gentleman (2008)
All good until the end
Just a disappointing ending. Not really sure what else could have happened though. If anything, different aged characters may have worked better. Kelly and her character just seemed to young for the role though she was very good in it.
The Brink (2020)
Quite a good portrayal of lawless existence.
Not too gory. Good locations decent story and speed.
The White King (2016)
Pointless
Brilliant setting, camera work, acting. The story however goes nowhere and literally nothing happens at all and nothing is explained.
Eat Pray Love (2010)
Not a pleasant movie
Julia plays a very unpleasant selfish woman who encounters a number of characters that seem to have way more patience for her than she deserves.
Upgrade (2018)
Very entertaining
Fast paced and I didn't guess the end even though I'd seen it before! Saw it when I first came out and again just now. I find this film really funny too but the humour is a bit dark.
Redwood (2017)
Predictable
Dear me literally nothing that isn't spelt out from the start happens.
Punisher: War Zone (2008)
Nothing like I expected
A bit too comic book for me. Prefer Thomas Jane film for its realism, plot and looking back, humour. This was like The Mask but not funny.
Reaptown (2020)
Atmospheric and creepy
No idea what happened at end and for the contact with journalist to not amount to anything.
Locke (2013)
Tedious
Nothing happens. There's no outcome to the "drama"
