A Haunting (2005)
"Hidden Terror" Awesome Episode. Best So Far.
I read the comments. Yes, Last week's episode was my favorite to date. It really had me scared and on the edge of my seat. Im originally from Boston, my parents use to take me to Corning NY every fall. The town is small, very old and at night a little creepy. I enjoyed watching the lead actor (Johnny Alonso) portray "Mike". It was like watching a made for TV movie. Hes a cross between Depp, Schneider and Buscemi. The only down beat was when the ghost busters showed up. With the exception of the video guy, the 2 ladies especially the "sensitive" who looked like the woman from "poltergeist" were a bit contrived. That's why I can't give it 10 stars, but 9. Mike's girlfriend and his buddy were strong supportings, but what made the show was Johnny Alonso. Even though the "real" Mike came up in shadow and at times made it confusing, you always found your way back to the story through him. Strong look, strong actor, strong episode. Way to go "A Haunting"
Destination Tomorrow (2000)
Johnny Alonso, same guy on "A Haunting" and "Stuck In The Suburbs"?
Johnny Alonso seems to be the king of cable programming. I've seen him on late night TV....way late night, like 4am late night. Talking about rockets and helicopters for "Destination Tomorrow". Next, my nephew and I caught him on "Stuck In The Suburbs" a Disney cable special Saturday afternoon. Then flipping channels to find him on prime time Discovery on "A Haunting".I Checked out his IMDb - done some good projects. The CW stuff is cool (Dawson's Creek and One Tree Hill), a major player network, still not top major network. Maybe your agent has something to do with this or the business is just that tough that you're getting stereotyped. Don't get me wrong, other actors like myself would be psyched to book what you work on. But Johnny, step it up one notch and quit hiding on cable. You're ready for prime time TV!
Stuck in the Suburbs (2004)
Hats off! We really enjoyed the show.
I know Im a little late getting this to you. I actually caught this the first week it aired back in '04. My nephew made me record the show for him because he really enjoyed. We use to live in New Orleans, we recognized the plaza. Cool thing, we were there when they were shooting "Growing Pains II" and i remember your trucks around the Italian plaza. Is the sound track available in stores? My nephew and his friends really enjoy singing to the music. Also, what has the lead actor done since the show? We liked watching him. Thanks again for a great family special that everyone can enjoy. We're hoping for a part II, any possibilities??
