Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles: Heavy Metal (2008)
Yes, But. How Does A Head Rebuild It's Own Missing Body??
This is a nice episode. Maybe not one of the best, but the scene at the end is breathtaking and I could watch it over and over again. I have actually. I would love to find out where they filmed this episode and actually visit that lake. But let's get right down to business here. Cameron shows John and Sarah a video of a little silver head with weakly glowing red eyes, that apparently made the time transfer with them. She explains how it's Cromartie and his chip is still intact and he will rebuild himself one leg and one arm at a time. I am trying to picture this. I can't do it. I would love to see this process in action. So, it's a good episode but the moral of the story is this: Just How DOES a Terminator Head rebuild it's missing body?
The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997)
Entertaining enough. But Lacks Something From The First One
It's a good movie, and nice way to distract yourself for a few hours. But it is not nearly as well put together as the first movie in this series. The original Jurassic Park had scenes that were so classic, so breathtakingly suspenseful, that it would be almost impossible to top them. Also, the first movie did a wonderful job of mixing the bright and sunny scenes while contrasting it with the dark and rainy ones. I felt The Lost World was a lot darker and didn't take enough time to show off the beauty of the Island. One exceptional moment for me in this film was the window glass cracking scene when they were dangling over the cliff. That was unique and breathtaking suspense. It was scarier than the dinosaurs, actually, which is kind of sad. Still, all in all, not a bad movie. It just lacks something from the first one.
Joyride (1997)
Not NEARLY As Bad As People Are Saying
I really CANNOT BELIEVE the amount of negativity being directed at this movie! I really enjoyed it! Amy Hathaway is HOT and fun to watch. She sort of reminds me of Alicia Silverstone in Excess Baggage. I was transfixed watching Toby Mcguire and Benicio Del Toro, as I have been fans of both of theirs for years.. The movie actually has quite a bit of tension and suspense, and it works, because you really feel for these kids, and the situation they are stuck in. Sure, there are some definite continuity errors, and the acting is far from perfect, at times, but somehow these don't detract from the storyline and the overall feel of the movie. I watched half of the movie last night, and was hooked enough to come back and finish it,today. A strong 5, but maybe even a 6, in my book. Definitely worth a look, if you're into these types of movies.
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (2008)
A new Sarah Conner but one that can most certainly be warmed up to.
Well, I must say, I was pretty impressed with the pilot. I wasn't sure about the choice of actress for Sarah, but she began to grow on me. As an avid Terminator fan I was determined to like it, but it turned out I didn't have to be. The action was great, the special effects... It was everything that a Terminator sequel is supposed to be. I was also quite pleased with all the little surprises. It was QUITE entertaining for anyone to watch, I think, but Terminator fans should be extremely satisfied. The conflict with T3 is a little disheartening, but many people believe that T3 itself was just that. I truly hope that this show continues in the same explosive manner that it started. I will most definitely be watching.

Dang! Now that was a GOOD MOVIE!
I must say that it is very hard for me to sit through an entire movie, due to my ADD. For this reason, I rarely go the theaters and I always tape things off TV so I can fast forward through the commercials and come and go from the movie at will. That being said, I sat through this entire movie, in an uncomfortable chair, thirsty as heck, without out blinking, or getting up once for a glass of water.. This movie made me laugh. It made me cry. But most importantly... it scared the crap out of me!!! Much different from traditional horror movies, it showed true Stephen King style. But unlike most of SK's books brought to the screen-this one actually managed to portray that mad and somehow KNOWING horror that Stephen King is so good at scaring us with. All I can say is WELL DONE!!
