Scream (2022)
Feels like Nickelodeon/Disney Channel sitcom, with murders...
Seriously, the teenagers look too young to be in Scream movies... And the movie also feels like a low budget movie, the house at the ending obviously a studio, it feels really fake, like a house in a sitcom shows.
Well, at least the characters fashions and the murder scenes are better than Scream 3.
I Am Michael (2015)
A new color in gay cinema
"I am Michael" is a gay movie which the main character choose his religion over his sexuality. I've never found gay movie like this. It's a new thing in gay cinema. But too bad, this movie received so many hate from people, they said this movie is full of anti-gay agendas.
I am a gay man. I LOVE watching gay movies, I've watched a ton of them. But, all I watched, when it came a story about religious character, they ALWAYS ended up leaving their religion behind and stay in their homosexual life. I'm sorry but it's boring and dull. We need a different stereotype. Beside, those movies will make the audiences (especially younger gay audience) think that's the ONLY right thing to do in their life, and if people devoted their life to religion they are so wrong, confused, and stupid. If people say "I am Michael" has anti-gay agenda, so why don't they say other gay movies has anti-religion agenda?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not taking sides here, I just want to say if you want to left your religion and stay being gay, it's alright, it's not wrong, AND if you want to choose your religion over your real sexuality desired, it's alright too. There's nothing wrong to keep being gay forever and there's nothing wrong to be religious. Let people be what they want to be in their life, as long as it is their OWN decission, not FORCED by other people and not FORCING other people.
In the real life, I know a few of gay men who choose their religion and burried down their homosexuality. Is it seem sad? Yes it is. Are they struggling for the rest of their life? Yes, they are said that. But it's all their faith, their life choice. Don't judge them if you don't want to be judged. "I am Michael" is presented for them. It's good to give a different color in gay cinema once in a while, so all type of gay person can have their own movie, no gay person will feel they're left behind in cinema world. I am so glad this movie is created. I hope there will be more like it. If you are a movie maker, maybe this thing can be you consideration for making a new stereotype gay movie.
