Dark Breed (1996)
Stinker
Can't believe these actors signed on for this. Guy wearing an Air Force full service uniform shooting a bazooka...I think not. Not to mention the bazooka is a 2-man weapon....Story points are not made clear; e.g., why the possessed astronauts are standing in the middle of the road, waiting for a truck that's hauling a mobile home. Maybe they were just waiting for someone to stop, I don't know. These were good, reputable actors, relegated to a movie that relied on stunts and special effects instead of telling a story. The basic premise is fine, but there's only so far that suspension of belief will go, and this movie requires you to go way beyond it. Could it have been done better? I think so. Use the same actors, get a better writer, and you might have a decent movie.
Skeleton Man (2004)
Unbelievable
Did the producers ask for their money back? Did Rooker or Van Diem pay to be in this flick, 'cause I can't imagine that anyone paid them to do this movie.
How many bullets do you have to use before you realize they ain't doin' a blessed thing?
"If it breathes, I can kill it"???
I'm glad I didn't pay to rent this or see it at a theater. As it is, I'm thinking of calling my cable company and asking for an equivalent refund.
This movie is a conglomeration of scenarios, that are supposed to be tied together by the so-called monster. As such, the scenes don't mesh together well at all, and I was confused every five minutes trying to figure out "why did we just jump to that scene?"
I missed the first half hour, so I still have no idea why the thing-a-ma-bob was killing people in the woods, and then changed its mind and went after some chemical plant out in the middle of nowhere.
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME.
