Resident Alien: Homecoming (2024)
lightning fast end
A sad and rushed finale for a hilarious series.
So many gaps that could have been whole episodes.
Maybe if the writers had stuck to the core stories and not get distracted on irrelevant and pointless "filler" characters, they could have had a future and an audience.
The writers lost the plot chasing zero zero character arcs - hopeless. Great solid actors were thrown under the bus like Jenna while .
They wasted the first nations arc by climaxing in a dance??? It resulted in tokenism and stereotypical stuff.
They finishing writing team had a few seasons of great ideas that were left hanging - so sad.
41 (2012)
Where has this been hiding?
Excellent simple premise.
Time travel is a fascinating concept and the paradoxes are complex.
I was confused in the first 15min till the pattern emerged.
Unbelievable yet possible.
The Great Escapists (2021)
Boys Own meets Castaway
Great lockdown escape. Suspend too much thinking and sit back and relax! Great location.
Blithe Spirit (2020)
Thoroughly entertaining
Fast moving with a few twists and turns with an electric cast with real energy and totally believable.
Six Minutes to Midnight (2020)
Warm thriller
Pre-WW2 thriller with enough twists and turns to keep the suspense going till the end. Thoroughly enjoyable performance, well written, excellent cast.
Mulan (2020)
A classic
I delayed watching Mulan as I read the negative reviews. They must have watched another film. Great cinematography, great acting, great effects and stunning scenery. A simple inspirational classic tale. A highly recommended watch - except if you have a heart of stone.
The Midnight Sky (2020)
Expect the unexpected
I found I experienced a full range of emotions through this film. From excitement to disbelief to annoyance to frustration to sadness. Good tension. You might find you'll watch it again to look for the hints and clues.
Great job George in acting and directing - very engaging. Caoilinn turns in a top performance - those eyes cut right through you.
Dune Drifter (2020)
Not bad
It started poorly with the worst case for female soldiers I have ever seen. Too much screaming and yelling - bit pointless?
But it improved with a satisfying finish.
The strength of suits and weaknesses seemed implausible.
Phoebe did a great job.
Editing was crisp but floundered at times.
