Better Call Saul: Saul Gone (2022)
"It's showtime"
Saul becomes Jimmy once again, although it may look like a bad outcome, it's the best ending for Jimmy. We finally see some earnestness and heart in Jimmy again. He admits to crimes and ironically sets himself free. He's no longer a prisoner to himself. This is a great ending for Saul/Jimmy's character as there is a silver lining in the whole situation and leaves a somewhat open ending as we know his fate but we can imagine he lives a decent life in the prison as he is respected and is on good terms with it kimmy. Definitely a show that's going to be missed.
Better Call Saul: Waterworks (2022)
A very crucial and important episode to the series.
Wouldn't expect anything less from Vince, the pacing is incredible and pieced together so well with some great references to previous characters/ unique encounters. But hands down that shot of terror on Saul's face after seeing his commercial and the tint of colour reflected in his glasses is just incredible symbolism that saul is Jimmy, it is everything he is, has been and will be.
Better Call Saul: Breaking Bad (2022)
That last scene, wow
Such a amazing episode. Personally loved the foreshadowing in it. When Saul goes to the school it's the start of his eventual downfall and ultimately leads to the death of Saul and when gene breaks into the house I think it's foreshadowing the death of gene, in one way or another . So much hidden detail is why I love this show.
Better Call Saul Presents: Slippin' Jimmy: Cool Hand Jimmy (2022)
This is peak breaking bad fiction..
Absolutely phenomenal, the cinematography in this is incredible. When Kim Wexler said her last words "he's the slipping jimmy" brought a tear to my eye. Bravo Vince.
Better Call Saul: Nippy (2022)
Sometimes I envy binge watchers...
I think it's safe to say everyone was a little let down with this episode, it's by no means not a bad episode but I get really frustrated how long the wait has been for everything and I mean cmon "a new player gets added to the game"? They are just teasing with Walt and Jesse especially in addition to how the last episode concluded. I didn't mind the episode and if I was binge watching it would be a different story but I feel they put the breaks on a bit too hard at such a outstanding pace the previous episodes.
Better Call Saul: Point and Shoot (2022)
Incredible episode, just a tad disappointed with the outcome.
Incredible episode from start to finish, the 45 minutes felt like 20. Everything was shot as clinical as it usually is, but I was just a little underwhelmed with the outcome of lalo, I liked the little smirk he gave at the end but personally felt like with his character and his significance a shot in the dark didn't quite do it for me especially we know the fate of gus it takes a bit of tension away. Although I quite like the idea that both gus and died foreshadowing there death with there obsession. Maybe I'm being a bit biased but I think with lalos status and impact he deserved a bit of a better death although the one that happened probably seemed the most logical. Nevertheless this episode was incredible and just my opinion.
The Boys: The Instant White-Hot Wild (2022)
What a waste of a season.
Up until the last episode this was what I believed to be the best season of the boys, whilst I stick with that view I'm disappointed at how lazy and lacklustre this finale was. Somehow homelander comes back into Ryan's life and like that, after everything there he's back like nothing happened with no real motive shown and done in a flash. We have this whole season introduce solider boy and build up him to killing homelander after butcher set this whole plan up. Then they decide not to? After the whole show has been the boys trying to kill homelander then they don't even bother? They give you the nonsensical "big fight" to please audience although it makes utterly no sense. Such a waste of a well built up series with character arcs being contradicted and rushed. Got a feeling this show is going to turn into another mediocre show with lazy writing.
