UFO (2021)
Definitely didn't live up to expectations
Let me summarize the show for you:
Aliens are definitely real. We're going to show you a bunch of stories that prove how real they are, not new stories, but ones you've definitely heard of before. That's ok, though, because now they are in hd with dramatic music, because JJ Abrams. Also, we have fancier contributors talking about the stories, because Showtime. The main thing you should take away from this is that UFOs are 100% real, and they are either already here or will be invading earth soon.
Just kidding. Aliens are fake every UFO sighting in the history of ever, all across the world was actually the US Air Force. Everyone that has ever claimed to have seen a UFO was fooled by a government disinformation campaign, and v-shaped UFOs are actually big v-shaped balloons that the us gov has been hiding since the Mayflower. If you don't believe that, you're either stupid or crazy.
Just kidding, UFOs are probably real.
No they aren't, they are 100% fake and if you disagree you're an idiot.
Supernatural: Carry On (2020)
What did I just watch?
Seriously, what did I just watch?! I don't understand how anyone could give this episode anything besides one star, this should be the only thing that unites all aspects of the fan community; Dean fans, Sam fans, Cas fans, destiel shippers, everyone! No character got the ending they deserved.
Dean died scared and basically alone (with just Sam, yes, but the message of the show has been found family, where was literally anyone else) on a hunt that John apparently messed up years ago, but a freak accident. Seriously, wtf. Then when he gets to heaven, he just drives around for years waiting for Sam? Like, after all these years does he have no value besides cleaning up John's messes and waiting around for Sam? Dean fans should be livid!
Sam, while not having to suffer the indignity of getting killed by vampire clowns and rusty rebar, seems to live a pretty unhappy life, in a series of terrible wigs. Is he sad that his beautiful hair fell out and all he can afford are wigs from Walmart? Yes, he got to live his life and have a family, but they went out of their way to parallel his retirement to Dean's retirement at the beginning of session 6, where he was trying to be happy and normal, but it was just never there. Not the ending I'd want for my fave.
And Cas? Where do I even begin? How about nowhere, because that's where he was in this episode. Nowhere. He's been a main character, a fan favorite, for 12 years, and they don't even have him in the last episode, though they did try really hard to bait the fans into believing he could be. All he gets is a two word aside to imply to us that's he's still not stuck in super mega hell (the empty). That's all he deserves? I mean they did Dean and Sam dirty, but they have nothing on how bad they did Cas.
This episode was an insult to the fans who have supported this show for years, for the characters who they disrespected and disregarded any character growth they made over 15 years, but most of all this was an insult to the cast and crew who put their hearts and souls into make this show what it was, only to have their legacy ruined at the last possible minute.
