The money spent on this film should rather have gone to a Film Academy Screenwriting School.

Any polish, cinematics, and other positives are completely undone. Poor story line, completely disjointed story elements.

Also it seems character development was not an important aspect. Back to school please, develop characters and cast them in a way that connects them with the audience link that with a good story and good acting . Preparation comes before a task. First prepare then make film.

This is a great pity. Good actors and cinematography. It wants for a gripping story. Looking for an an intriguing alien Sc-Fi story?... Look elsewhere.

The pace of this film reminds me of 'Mosquito Coast' , only slower, intolerable! But alas the reason for its slow movement is becoming clear, it's because there doesn't seem to be a Sci-Fi alien invasion story to tell, at least not in the initial crop of episodes...I'm not hanging around to find out more, seen this play out before.

Of course one bears in mind that as this is based on a true story there is a real tragedy and pain behind the entertainment value here. Here we see the sad manifestation of evil in the doings of a Psychopath, who chooses his victims carefully, the vulnerable and trusting, upon them control, fear manipulation and even death are meated out. Great casting, superb acting. The period-cinematics,costume and styling (1970's) are a treat. You will be drawn into the tension and horror of this piece all the way through. An added bonus, the performance of Tim McInnery (Lord Percy in Blackadder), always a pleasure to behold in this very polished production.

I don't mind saying, I had to watch this film a couple of times before I could really understand it. Like peeling away the layers of an onion to reveal another layer of meaning deeper down, it's breathtaking. Very few films achieve this complexity and depth. Sad, tragic and ultimately hopeful and liberating, so many emotions on this rollercoaster of a film, one of my best. Outstanding casting and acting, what a story.!!! Enjoy watching this one a few times over., and each time as if it's a brand new film.

I'd rather go to the dentist. Don't bother with this one. It's one of those where you wait while the clock is ticking for the film to redeem itself, which it never does.

How it ends is one of the major problems with 'How it ends'

Action packed, well put together so far, lots of intrigue and suspense to hold your attention and want more. It's polished, well written ,and very good acting by the cast. I'm looking forward to the rest of this.

I spent most of the time hoping this movie was going to go somewhere. It's one of those Sci-fi films that focuses on a particular life threatening situation that has to be resolved and the human drama that lies behind it. Except that most of the acting is only average and the characters are poorly developed. You can make any number of these generic types without too much imagination. Nothing here to really capture the imagination or keep you at the edge of your seat for very long. I like to see well developed stories, suspense, adventure and imagination when it comes to this genre, this movie didn't do it for me.

Breaking Bad. I still can't believe some of my friends despite my insistence have not yet watched Breaking Bad. Ignorance is not Bliss!!!

Category; Timeless Masterpiece; Adventure beckons, become drawn into the life of Walter White. His evolution into the Heisenberg persona from schoolteacher to Meth cook.

How his character evolves in the choices he makes, and how countless others become swept into his chaotic wake. The double life, the betrayal of his own family and the battle for his and his family's survival in the complicated world of drug running, pits each of these into a spiraling vortex that keeps you on edge from beginning to end. It's 10 out of 10 on every count. The script is imaginative and compelling, it's believable and astounding. The acting is unsurpassed and therefore able to form a connection with the viewer. The Cinematography delivers on the same high plateau as the aforementioned, completing the experience...don't miss this!!! I synced with this series for good after the third episode series 1 , from that moment I was on the roller coaster!!!

What makes a brilliant Series?

Many factors no doubt, you certainly need, Good actors, Good Cinematography , a believable and gripping storyline, and above all the ability to sustain these elements throughout, think Breaking Bad and Ozark. Now this series incorporates all these elements, but for the ability to sustain them, which is such a pity. Scriptwriters, you dropped the ball!

Wow!!! Fantastic!.!!! A gripping prison drama, that keeps you on the edge of your seat, great actors and well scripted....until S1 Ep5 it begins to slip. Unrealistic coincidences are written into the story that are a let down, and right now I'm put off continuing the series. Perhaps I will update this review later, we'll see. But as it stands...disappointed. But hats off to the actors and Cinematographers.

I actually watched this prior to watching Breaking Bad, and I didn't think anything could top it. Breaking Bad did, but this is in the same league. It has all the elements of intrigue, suspense, twists. What great characters, so important to a successful series, and what fantastic performances by all the actors. Gripping all the way through as this story is so well thought out. More like this. Pity we can't have many more seasons after the next release of season 4.

Initially put off by the narration I must admit, the narrators voice eventually grew on me ,and in fact adds to the appeal of this enjoyable and informative look at the subject. Watch, enjoy, open your mind and heart and learn.

Has to be an 8 as Breaking Bad the best series of all time ,hmmm, ok shared with GOT has to be a 10. I predict Giancarlo Esposito will be a James Bond villain some time in the future.
