A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001)
Garbage
I saw this on the big screen, when it came out in theaters. I will admit to absolutely refusing to rewatch the movie since then.
My memories of the movie were a plot that crawled along at the pace of a snail on downers, and that it starred Haley Joel Osmont, an actor that for whatever reason, I immediately developed a strong dislike for the first time I saw him (and that's never changed - I don't understand it myself, but there it is.)
I remember sitting in my seat, about halfway through, thinking to myself "This movie sucks!! But, it's a Spielberg movie, maybe it will really come on strong in the second half."
About 3/4 of the way through, I had an increasingly desperate need to urinate, but I refused to leave my seat, having confidence that Spielberg would somehow save the train wreck I was enduring.
Well, he didn't. My final memory of this movie was running to the restroom while praying I'd make it before soaking my pants, mad at myself for suffering through this garbage - and furious at Spielberg for wasting what felt like an eon of my time.
The Boonies (2016)
Worthwhile entertainment.
Disregard all the armchair survival experts who are slamming this program. It never claimed to be an educational program on how to survive in the wilderness.
Like almost every other program on TV, it's entertainment, and it does a dang good job of it. Watch it, if this is your kind of thing, you'll enjoy getting to know the interesting characters who you'd expect to be living in The Boonies.
