10 - Mind blowing, a masterpiece, excellent in every way.
9 - Amazing, routinely brilliant, immersive, epic, impactful, great characters, slight imperfections.
8 - Great, imaginative, engaging, well made, outstanding elements, the odd let down.
7 - Good, enjoyable, stimulating, rewarding to some degree, not disappointing but story is missing some scope or is inconsistent in standard.
6 - Decent, watchable, something interesting about it, but unfulfilling or missing something to class it as 'good' or 'solid'.
5 - OK, prolly worth watching, possibly overlong or missing key elements but still something interesting about it.
4 - Meh, forgettable, few redeeming qualities, not really worth watching on purpose.
3 - Bad, what not to do, nothing of value, waste of time.
2 - Awful, slightly offensive, what were they thinking? I can't even.
1 - Painful, avoid at all costs, not even to see what was so dreadful about it.

Yoho Ahoy (2000)
Essential Viewing
As a student, I spend a lot of time watching daytime TV, and so have become accustomed with what is generally on offer. Yoho Ahoy has been one of the highlights of recent years, not just for daytime TV, but for media in general. When this was on I used to scour the TV guides and teletext to find out when the episodes were on, sometimes there were two a day which was fantastic, but sometimes there weren't any and I was absolutely gutted. 5 mins of pure pleasure, there hasn't been a kids show on par with this since the 80s cartoon era, it should have it's own TV channel. Teletubbies, I mean honestly, it's sent me crazy, what effect is it having on little kids?!
Dust (2000)
Stunning
Aren't the best films those you didn't expect to find yourself watching? This was one of those. It may be short, but the character driven story is so full of realism and acting quality that after the ending sequence, you feel stunned. It's so refreshing to see films of this standard, that have real emotion poured into them, and some real skill in direction, and not just the usual Hollywood roll outs. I initially saw this film at about 2 AM sitting by myself in front of a small TV outside a backpacker hostel in Katherine, Australia. To be honest, there's no way I would have come across this film otherwise but I think it was the perfect setting for having this experience. Given the low voting scores I wonder whether other viewers saw this in a very different context, perhaps in their living rooms in the middle of the day. Otherwise I can't fathom such a reaction.
