This might be one of the worst films I've ever seen.
Let's start at the script - the dialogue is anything but natural, it's almost as if an AI system wrote a generic horror/thriller movie's script. Either that or a five year old, and that might even be discrediting a five year old.
Any good actor might be able to improvise, ad-lib or add some level of realism to the poor script, but these actors are anything but.
Cameron Monaghan, I had believed to be a decent actor prior to seeing this film. However he comes across as wooden, uninterested and stale. I'm not sure how they managed to wrangle John Malkovic into this, this film somehow even manages to make him look like someone fresh out of acting college.
However the worst of all is the female lead - played by Lilly Krug. Did she win a competition to star in a film? She is beyond robotic, every line she delivers is woefully bad and almost comedic in its delivery. The script is terrible but her acting might be the worst part. I was almost convinced that it was part of her character, the insincerity and deadpan deliver. It quickly became apparent that it's just her poor ability to act and show any other emotion other than child-like smarminess.
The plot is uninspired, generic and done to death. Nothing new, nothing exciting and frankly boring.
Save your self some time and don't ever watch this movie - or do, and find some humour in the awful acting.
