Don't Look Up (2021)
The usual Netflix propaganda
Disappointingly (though not surprisingly) this movie only exists to portray white people collectively in a bad light (almost every single overwhelmingly negative character, and all the huge crowds of non-believers being played exclisively by white people) in true Netflix fashion. The acting from DiCaprio and Lawrence were nice, but the amount of not even veiled, weird propaganda is off-putting, the plot is disjointed and slugs at an insufferable pace. Massive waste of a brilliant cast, thoroughly unenjoyable.
You (2018)
Too much white-bashing for no reason
Netflix has a long history of doing this, but the blatant, repeated demonizing of white people for zero reason as some weird propaganda is glaringly obvious in this series. It makes me cringe how basically every casting choice and plot point is made sure to make white people look evil lol. The premise and the acting would be nice, but this has turned me off and made me stop watching.
Sonic Boom (2014)
A perfect guilty pleasure
This show has a completely different vibe from all other Sonic media, it's 100% comedy, which gives it a very laid-back and accessible flavour. Some of the jokes are predictable, but it's very entertaining overall, overflowing with personality and charm! I love this more comedic, "everyday" side of the cast, even Dr. Eggman is loveable! It's been a long time since a show managed to destress me like Sonic Boom did. I love it!!

Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar (2021)
Completely out-of-the-box
I haven't even watched the whole movie yet, so maybe I shouldn't be reviewing it, but holy moly, what I've seen so far is so cute and hilarious and original! This movie is filled to the brim with personality, it is completely random and out there, but Barb and Star are the best, and I also love every single scene with Edgar, so good to see Jamie Dornan in an adorable and funny role like this! I especially loved their party scene where they dance to My Heart Will Go On, I have rewinded that scene more times than I should have, hahaha
Endings, Beginnings (2019)
Disappointing
Extremely boring, uneventful and directionless, I ended up fast-forwarding the last 30 minutes or so - this was a complete waste of time. I wouldn't recommend watching this movie to anyone.
Tangled (2010)
Might be the first movie ever that I rate a 10/10
I have just finished watching, and I'm blown away! I watched Frozen last week, and I was looking for something cute and inoffensive to watch, to help me soothe my anxiety. Tangled was not what I expected at all, in the best way possible!
I very rarely laugh at comedies, even ones that are targeted at adults, let alone kids, but holy moly, this movie is actually hilarious! None of the clichéd, predictable jokes - these are all golden, and make a grown man laugh out loud!
I also love how emotional this movie is, I was completely invested, not even looking at my phone even once (and that's saying something). I got very attached to the characters, they are extremely easy to love.
As much as I enjoyed Frozen, Tangled simply blows it out of the water, it is funnier, has more loveable and developed characters and has a bigger emotional impact.
This is truly a masterpiece.
Frozen II (2019)
Forced "diversity" makes zero contextual sense
The forced way they included a black character just for the sake of it and DiVeRsItY in a story that's originally set in Norway a long time ago made me cringe and immidiately stop watching. Shame, cuz I loved the first one, but this forced """inclusivity""" even in stories where it doesn't make sense contextually is just pure cancer.
Holidate (2020)
Cute, forgettable, ridiculously forced "diversity"
My review's title sums it all up, it was a cutesy movie, Luke Bracey is an absolute hunk, Emma Roberts was really lovable too, they had good chemistry, it rarely made me laugh (except for one scene lol), but it got a few smiles out of me. It does fall down the typical trap of Netflix propaganda though, the DiVeRsItY was so artifical and forced, the movie was 10 percent plot and 90 percent shoving every ethnicity possible down your throat for the sake of it, it was laughable and cringe. OK to movie to watch once (mainly for the hunky male lead), would never watch again.
Iron Fist (2017)
Exciting and hardcore
Finn Jones brings that ultimate white dude badassery with some of the best fight choreography I have ever seen in a martial arts movie, it doesn't have a single dull moment and it's a spectacle every second, I'm hooked!!!
Warrior (2019)
Completely laughable and impossible to take seriously
The whole thing is an absolute mess, the main character tries to appear badass, but just comes across as extremely lame and try-hard, I couldn't take a second of this seriously lol. I have been training MMA for 15 years now, the main guy's technques make him the typical dude who would get knocked out by a simple punch in real life lmao, not to mention how disposable the plot is.
Only waste your time on this if you wanna laugh.
A Rainy Day in New York (2019)
I really wanted to like this movie
I was excited to watch a movie with such an awesome cast, and I always enjoy movies set in NYC, but unfortunately, this was pretty boring. I really liked the atmosphere of the movie, I think it's really cool when New York's more laid-back, friendly side is shown with the mellow piano in the background instead of the super-busy metropolis cliché, but unfortunately, this was among the very few things I enjoyed. Elle Fanning's character was pretty unlikable, but it was probably intentional and her acting was top-notch, I also enjoyed Selena's character, she reminded me a lot of Alex Russo from Wizards of Waverly Place, the snarkiness suited her really well. Overall though, this movie is unfortunately very forgettable and boring. It's nice to have it play in the background and sometimes look at the screen for Selena's scenes, but I was expecting a lot more.
Emily in Paris (2020)
Heart-warming escape from reality
This show has become my "safe place" - it is cute, it is funny and an all-around magical fantasy that takes you away from the mundane weekdays. It is rare that a show captivates me to this degree!
After We Collided (2020)
Absolutely zero substance or originality
I don't actually dislike this movie, because it did relax me after a long day at work, but definitely not for the right reasons lol. The whole plot and the characters are so cliché-ridden, that I started seriously questioning whether this is some intentional meta, or just simply incredibly bland - I'm pretty sure it's the latter. The caharcters are basically cardboard-cutouts, they exhibit absolutely zero personality, I have never been this uninterested in the main charcters of a movie. They also try to portray them as having this super dramatic, passionate, wildfire romance, when objectively, nothing interesting has ever happened to them or between them, so it's just really awkward to see them screaming at each other and acting like they are driving each other crazy, when again, literally nothing has happened lol. I loved Dylan Sprouse's character though, he was a breath of fresh air, and it was nice to see the charming Candice King again (even though she was given zero interesting material to work with).
This movie was OK to watch once with a coupon for the movie ticket, but it was incredibly forgettable, I have no idea how this franchise blew up like it did lol.
The soundtrack is really cool though, you should check that one out!
Paddington (2014)
Heartwarming and charming
This movie exudes so much warmth, cuddliness and British charm, that you have to watch it to see what I mean. It instantly gets you to a "safe-haven", when reality gets a little too overwhelming! :) Paddington's character is handled brilliantly, he is not cute in a stereotypical, sugary way, he is cute becausd of how naive and pure he is - I think it was a wonderful idea to have an adult voice him instead of portraying him as a child. Few other movies give me such good feelings as this one does!
