The Drop (2014)
great
I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a film this much from this side of the country (Maybe Good will hunting) very solid performances from Tom Hardy, Noomi Rapaceand James Gandolfini - I was always wondering whats going to happen next - characters you feel so connected too and some you really want to take a baseball bat too it shows the hard side of the streets with a great amount of honesty. I was happy that film makers chose to use less know actors. it is always nice to see people getting their fifteen minutes who can truly deliver, some of these actors will look back and cherish working with James Gandolfini i'm sure. I would recommend this film for many reasons but mostly because its very well written, told and you really do care about the characters in this film.
Curbside Confessions (2009)
thumbs up
I really enjoyed this movie, the grim and slow moving tone. I found it very haunting, it was well acted and realistically written, especially the dialogue. I was impressed by the cast performances. Acted beautifully!
All kinds of odd conflicts with people I was fascinated by the way it was edited and unfolded, this is very watchable film
The storyline is strong and the film is a smile for indie movie making - imaginative -. the film holds together very well, the ending is a jaw dropper I never predicted how it was going to end.it was fascinating to watch the twist at the end!
A Cowboy's Silver Lining (2004)
A must see film
After the first few minutes, I thought What's happening?. One scene takes place in the past and another shows what happened years ago. It jumps around, but it comes together and makes perfect sense.
If it had been shown in order, it would not have been as interesting. The film is how someone wanting to change, can. The acting all around was great, and all production was the best I've seen and awards are well deserved.
FINAL VERDICT: Definitely a movie to see twice to see what you missed the first time. And how all the out of order scenes come together and finally make sense was neat and certainly entertaining enough to sit down for.
