Boy Meets World (1993)
A Timeless Feel Good 90s Classic!!!
I absolutely LOVED "Boy Meets World" as a kid & I still love it to this day (I'm 31, LoL). So much so that I own seasons 3-7 on DVD! It truly epitomizes a "feel good" show, despite a lot of serious issues illustrated throughout the older years of Cory & the gangs' lives. This is the kind of show that has a little of everything, & therefore something for everyone to love. It's entertaining in a wholesome way, while still being hilarious (mostly thanks to Eric & Cory & most of all Mr. Feeney's Characters). This show very unique in that it's like a comedy, a drama, a love story all in one, but at the same time... It's none of those! It's almost impossible to describe it to someone who had never seen it, because there isn't another show similar enough to compare it to. It really does have a little bit of everything, & that's why I think it was so successful. In my opinion, it was the cornerstone of the 90s TGIF lineup & probably the most viewed of all the TGIF shows running at that time. I think the premise of following Cory from kid, to adolescent, teen, all the way to adulthood captured viewers in a special way. By the high school years, you almost feel like you have grown to know the characters personally! LoL
It's an amazing show for all ages, highly recommend!!!
Boy Meets World: And Then There Was Shawn (1998)
Ahhh The Good Ole 90s...
TGIF was the best lineup ever, & Boy Meets World was definitely my #1 favorite (with Sabrina The Teenage Witch coming in at a VERY close 2nd)
I remember the episode "And Then There Was Shawn" sticking out from the other episodes not only because Jennifer Love Hewitt's guest appearance, but also due to how different the whole tone of the episode & storyline were. As silly as it may be, I recall actually being a little bit frightened as a kid by some of the scenes in this episode! There was just a very creepy vibe to it that I thought was extremely well dine
