The Looney Tunes Show: Bobcats on Three! (2012)
What's with the new animation style?
I don't necessarily dislike the new animation style, but I feel like the show was meant to be a more realistic take on the loony tunes, so it makes more sense to have a more realistic art style. Aside from that, the new style is fine and the episode itself is OK.
Sing (2016)
A decent flick
There is not much to say about this movie. I can't think of many things it does wrong but it does not really do anything to really impress and surprise. Yes it's predictable but you still want to see everything turn out well in the end. So overall, sing is a perfectly serviceable film to entertain kids and adults.
The Willoughbys (2020)
This movie was falsely advertised and is completely overrated
When I saw the trailers for this movie, I thought it looked amazing. The trailers made this movie look like it was going to be an exciting adventure about a group of children who set off with their new nanny to find their cruel parents before they are taken by child services. However when I actually watched the movie, the stuff they had shown in the trailers was kept until the last twenty minutes of the film and there is a big chunk of filler that you have to get through after they send away their parents. Speaking of the parents, they are probably two of the worst characters I have seen in any animated film. The fact that for years they were neglecting their children, refusing to feed them, give them warm clothes and locking them in the basement as punishment is just such a horrible thing to think about. Also, their are a good few characters that are added into the film without much of an introduction or reason For example, there is a character called Commander Melanoff who is supposed to run a candy factory, but when the characters meet him, they are suprised to see that he is real. But his backstory is never revealed in the movie and he is just added out of nowhere. Another big problem with the movie is that a lot of the film is just setting up plot conveniences for the climax where the kids go to find their parents. Things like befriending the commander and being taken away by social services are all things that are just setting up what is going to happen in the climax, and I couldn't get that into it, especially after what the film had promised me. However I do think that there are some good things with the flick. The animation is nice and the voice acting is good, and I felt like this movie was really trying to give us something that was great, because the last five minutes of the film are actually quite emotional and the song they have is actually really good. To me it was the highlight of the film and I have listened to it a good amount in my free time. But overall, I was very disappointed by this film. I really tried to like it, but I just couldn't get that into it. But don't let that stop you from seeing the film. I heard a lot of people like this film and I can clearly see why.
