Not one of CBS's impressing concepts
31 July 2002
Seeing as I haven't seen the ''Pilot'' episode of this Jerry Bruckheimer produced series, I only got the chance to see the 4th or 5th episode of the show which storyline was centered on a boy who's running in the desert, fully naked and found dead. After 15 minutes, I just had to turn over the channel as it was completely boring and wasn't as highly entertaining as the likes of 'Stargate SG-1' or CBS's 8th Season running Bellisario-produced series 'J.A.G.' which has yet to become a massive success here in the UK. I've just read the 45 reviews from mainly the American audiences, some UK, and I disagree on 'C.S.I.' being CBS's best show for years, the 2 greatest shows ever to hit CBS's network are the Eighties classics, created and produced by Donald P. Bellisario, also the creator and producer of 'J.A.G.', which were 'Magnum, P.I.' and 'Airwolf'. These had the best storylines, action and 'Airwolf' had the highest production values and still does as if compared to 'C.S.I.'s low-production values, it can see the difference. Maybe if the ''Pilot'' is re-aired here in the UK, I might re-consider my personnel judgement upon 'C.S.I.' but I very much doubt it, to me it's just a static, boring and un-entertaining show.

Witty, entertaining, but doesn't have the original's standards
31 July 2002
Although higher financed, by noticing the more bigger co-ordinated action set pieces throughout the film, the script doesn't live up to the original's slickiness and comedic entertainment. With a ''lovely'' stripclub scene, and a superb action ending, this 1987 sequel is worth the viewing.

The original, the funniest, the best out of all 3!

Jerry Bruckheimer's and the late Don Simpson's second massive success was this 1984 action comedy starring the legendary Eddie Murphy. With brilliantly-written dialogue, some classy locations, one of the best movie themes in cinema history and one of my favourite truck-car chases, this is certainly a MUST SEE movie, and once you see this film, you'll want to watch it again, and again and again.

Blue Thunder (1984)
The A-Team and Airwolf Double, but better than Streethawk
18 May 2002
After seeing only the Pilot episode (''Second Thunder'') and the next proper episode to follow (''A Clear and Present Day''), I have to say this spinoff series inspired by the original 1983 box-office smash hit of the same name, is a worthy and stylish piece of television, fiananced by Rastar Productions and the original film's distributer, Columbia Pictures. Dana Carvey get's on my nerves sometimes with his over-the-top humour (noticably taken from Dwight Schultz's Murdock in 'The A-Team'), but the aerial action sequences are superb. Seeing as only 11 episodes were produced, I would have to say it is miles ahead of the 1985 13-episode 'Streethawk' series, seeing as both were aired on ABC in the Eighties. The new theme music is now one of my favourites, but I still recognise the constant drum beat used also constantly in 'The A-Team'. All in all, I would rate these show 8/10. Although the original aerial police station base wasn't available to the show's production team, the stock footage taken from the original film is well put together and the soundstages are alright, but a bit of a goof, with the slow rotating blades above the actors, plus no backing motion video playing to simulate the actors actually flying in the air, which was seen in 'Airwolf'.
