Time travel show
6 October 2016
Warning: Spoilers
I have to admit; the idea of time travel is more fascinating than almost any other sci-fi subject. So I looked forward to this more than any other new show the last few years. I just hope it lasts.

The team is okay, perhaps not the most believable young professor, but okay, let's say we buy it. I like the other actors, especially Goran Visnic (sorry for the spelling) who could possibly be really evil or not, could go either way. The story was good, very promising. I am fascinated. And most stories and shows gets better when you have gotten passed the pilot. So I really hope it will stay on the air more than a season and I hope people (and the network) will give it a chance. Nobody has traveled in time, and nobody will, so the writers can use as much creativity and imagination as they want to, and I hope they do. I will watch it.

Film school project?
17 May 2014
This movie is odd and strange. I usually like that, but instead of being interesting and deep it is just too pretentious. It is also muddy and totally discombobulated. It feels like a film school project that would have deserved an F. I didn't watch it all the way to the end, I already felt so irritated about that time I lost watching it...The characters are uninteresting, the dialog is...missing, the story is so loosely put together that it is just plain awful. I don't mind having some room for questions and interpretations, most good movies have that, but this movie is far beyond that. Save yourself the time and skip it!

Good science fiction
8 February 2014
Warning: Spoilers
I am a huge fan of Fringe, and have been waiting for a show to replace that excellent and unusual show. This show was recommended by some TV magazine...And it is good, of course not as good as Fringe, but I guess it will take years before anything that good, imaginative, unusual and amazing will come back to TV. But I like the idea, the main characters are likable, the chemistry between the android and the people fun, the characters feels real and so on. It seems to have a good enough writing team, so it is definitely worth an hour of your time on a boring Monday evening. I like the stories so far, 2048 isn't really that far off, so the amount of changes the society seems to have gone through seems believable enough. It is the only one of the new shows I think I will keep watching for a while.

Eeeh...
8 February 2014
Warning: Spoilers
I like Greg Kinnear -I have seen that he can be very funny. This show is okay, no more, I have given it 3 episodes of my valuable time and will not continue watching, it just isn't good enough. The pilot introduced too many people, there was just a little bit too much of the "oh, I am a bad boy, owe the wrong people money, and make everybody I meet hate me"... and be totally charmed at the same time. The two following episodes was just more of the same, lots of bad luck and bad decisions. Not as funny as it could have been. Kee, or whatever weird name they have given the main character, never seems to finish anything, so it seems pretty unlikely that he would have finished college and law school, most people with his type of messed up personality don't. Greg Kinnear deserve a much better script. And if you have seen the trailer, don't bother with the show, you will have seen The joke...

Mike & Molly (2010–2016)

MUCH better now!
15 November 2013
Warning: Spoilers
This used to be an okay show, I watched it occasionally, good actors and fair script. Not really bad and not really great. But maybe the people behind the show thought it was getting to much like every other American show- couple with extended family getting married and trying to have a baby,we have seen that before and it is hard to get any kind of enthusiasm for another show like that. So this season for whatever reason, the comic genius that is Melissa McCarthy is getting more space to develop a much more interesting character. Actually all of them are getting a more interesting story to work with, it is all taking a very interesting turn and the characters actually seems like real people, finally. I love it. Please do not make Molly pregnant, and don't find her another boring job. This is who she is supposed to be.

The Michael J. Fox Show (2013–2014)

Great new show
4 October 2013
Comedy is hard. Every fall lots of new shows that are trying to be funny shows up, most of them with good actors, some with good ideas but very few with good material and writers. Most of the time they don't even last a full season. Either the jokes are cheap, the people unreal or there is some other serious flaw. This show seems to be an exception, I say seems to be since there have only been three episodes so far. I admit, I love Michael J Fox, and I was excited that he was back to TV, but it seems like he is working with good writers and good stories and characters that seems real. Like he almost always does. So I can recommend this show, if you saw and liked Spin City and Family ties, you will like this show too.

I am not buying this...
24 September 2013
Warning: Spoilers
I was curious about this very hyped pilot, I like the idea and watched the pilot yesterday. I am not impressed and here is why; There is always a certain degree of imagination of course, that is not only expected but necessary- but the idea of FBI being so incredibly easy to manipulate is appalling. And the agents are portrayed as idiots. I have only seen one episode and I have already lost all respect for them. I did not like the female main character. She is way too gullible and perfectly fixed up even when she is in major danger. I thought we were passed those kind of female characters. And when story fails, because of lack of real people and a fascinating plot, add explosions, car chases and children in danger. I know it will probably pick up, James Spader is amazing in most things he does, but I will not waste any more time on this show.

Why all the bad reviews??
3 October 2012
Warning: Spoilers
This new show is one of the most watched shows right now, and then the reviews...It doesn't really make sense. Why is so many people watching it if it so bad? I like this show, it is not great, that's for sure, but it is not as bad as all the people reviewing it think. The idea that all the technology would totally fail and that we would be thrown back to the stone age is believable. We have made ourselves depend on the technology and that makes us all very vulnerable. The way it is done in this movie is not especially...believable, but that's okay, it is fiction. I like the characters, you can't see or figure out everybody motives, you can see good and bad in almost everybody (That is believable) and the actors is totally okay for a TV show. A show is good or worth watching when you can't figure out exactly what will come next. I want to know why the light went out and how and how it is possible that nobody seems to be able to fix it. Maybe when the answers come, it will be ridiculous and dumb, but I think I will keep watching it for a few more weeks before I give up.

Okay crime drama
23 August 2012
Warning: Spoilers
I have watched and enjoyed this show for a few weeks now. I really like Eric McCormacks truly crazy professor character, he is surprisingly believable and interesting. This show also has a bit of "Lie to me" in it, a show that I loved and that was canceled to soon. The stories are good, but familiar, no real surprises there. But well-made. I liked the episode with the woman who had memory loss, had spent most of her adult life in a hospital... The only real draw back is the female lead character; we are supposed to believe that she is a FBI agent, a fragile, cute, little girly girl... I wish they had chosen someone else for that role. But otherwise good, I hope it stays for a while.

Judging Amy (1999–2005)

Best drama
10 May 2012
I watch reruns of Judging Amy almost daily currently, I had forgotten how much I enjoy this show. My usual choice of shows are crime dramas and once in a while there is a really good sitcom on the air. Most drama shows are too boring for me to stick with. I Hate hospital dramas. I love Maxine Grays character the most, she is just the best, intelligent, sensitive, opinionated and strong willed. And Tyne Daly is one of the best actresses ever on TV too bad that she seems to be retired at this time.

I wish there were more dramas like this one. I wish it had been going for more than 6 seasons. But I am glad that one channel shows the reruns, that is something...

Who watches this?
8 May 2012
Warning: Spoilers
I used to watch this show when it was about two brother living together, it was sometimes a bit crude, but I love Jon Cryer as an actor and his character, Alan, was funny and kind of sad. And Charlie Sheen is a great actor and very funny. I saw the first one with Ashton Kutcher, it was not especially funny and I haven't really had the time or interest to follow it, I think I saw parts of one more after that and now yesterday. It was the show after Alans heart attack, he is coming back to the house from the hospital. It was beyond bad. Most shows gets worse after the main character leaves, but this is garbage. The edge, the script...even Jon Cryers acting...it was so bad, like an accident, I wanted to look away, but I couldn't. But at least I don't have to see it again.

Feel good movie
27 April 2012
Warning: Spoilers
I love this movie, I have seen it several times. I enjoyed reading others reviews, many from this side of the Atlantic ocean, I was still living in Sweden when it was new (now I am in Texas, US). To see it again made me homesick, there is nothing like the Swedish countryside, it is so quiet and calm. And in that environment people like Olof just fits in so perfectly.

I just love the characters, Olof because he is a warmhearted and loyal person and Helena Bergströms householder because she can see that. It is one of those movies that make you feel that Movies shouldn't be more like life, life should be more like the movies.

Touch (2012–2013)
3/10
Not great
30 January 2012
Warning: Spoilers
I watched the pilot, thinking that it might be better than it seemed to be from the trailers. Usually when Hollywood approach the subject of autism it is emotional and full of old fashioned and incorrect information and touch doesn't seem to be an exception. And here are some questions: Would the state of New York really "instituionalize" a child against the parents will? Would a social worker use the word institution when talking about treatment for a child? What would be the reason for the "evaluation"? And the autistic child was of course a genius.

I liked the idea of using plots from several continents. It was good, unusual.

I watch science fiction and enjoy it, but when it touches subjects that are many many peoples "area of expertise" - 1 of 100 children are born with autism - it needs to be more researched.
