I'm losing Interest
15 February 2024
I've just watched episode 4 and too be honest, probably the worse so far. Having re watched The Pacific in the last two weeks, this is not a patch on that, or Band of Brothers, even the name Masters of the Air irritates me. I get it, it's hard to portray this story from the air, the other two were ground series, so shooting this wasn't going to be easy, which is why it's been filled with a lot of ground fluff in my opinion. I was expecting on top battle scenes with these guys literally getting hammered once the German radar picked them up, till the moment the bombers got out of range on their return journey. I really want to feel for these characters like I did in BoB and The Pacific, but alas I don't really care, it's just all to Hollywood, hence I'm losing interest.

Sit Back Relax and Have Some Fun
9 February 2024
If you've not started this yet, and not watched the film, I'd suggest watch the film. When I heard they were making a show I thought leave it out. I watched the trailer for the show and thought OK, I'll give it go. I must say it's pretty damn good, it's so much fun and a right laugh. I love the characters, and as other reviewers have said Gal and Don are excellent. In the film you get 'the full fat' version of Don, in this he's a kind of skinny latte version, but giggle so much knowing what he becomes. Tamsin Greig who plays Cecilia is another stand out, her character is wonderful, I love her and she loves dropping the C Bomb. Personally all the characters are fun and it's a show, like Slow Horses that doesn't take itself too seriously. I'm thoroughly enjoying this show, especially as there's not much on barring True Detective and Masters of the Air that I watch. As for the low reviews, they can judge of course, the best critic is yourself, it doesn't float their boat, but please don't let that put you off. If you love British humour, the C Bomb dropping every episode and the so so violent scenes, I trust this will float your boat. A solid 8/10 from me or your money back.

Horrible TV Viewing
1 September 2022
I have to agree with the other reviewers on this, it was a horrible episode to watch. Please read their reviews after seeing this episode, I'm just the warm up guy, they'll give you a much more insightful view on this episode.

Being in the UK I'm not 100% knowledgeable on Katrina, but by God does this show slam it in my face. The snippets of real footage sliced into the show really makes it a hard watch, not just in this episode which was amazing, but 1-4 also.

Apple TV are really cranking up the volume with some of their shows, this and the unique Severance (a must see) are my two stand outs so far.

I think the next episode will be another hard watch but as I always say in my reviews, we are blessed with some amazing TV right now and this show is right up there in my opinion.

A Confusing Mess
22 May 2022
I am trying to stick with this, but the show is all over the place, I don't have a clue so can't enjoy. The time lines are shot to pieces, so really difficult to keep track.

I might be a minority here, but I thought the whole point of watching a show was to enjoy it, not waffle on about how great the acting is, even thought you don't understand what is going on.

Like a few new shows I've been watching of late, I'm going to dump this and maybe view with better eyes down the road.

Sorry, just hasn't worked for me, which is a shame as the cast are pretty good.

You just need to let it go, here's a tissue.
18 May 2022
Let me start by saying I'm a two in face, stabbed in the neck, blood everywhere kinda guy when it comes to my TV shows, but bloody hell TIU has been amazing.

I was never going anywhwere near this, nagged for ages so joined late, yes sorry I'm embarassed about that now.

What an amazing episode, and I mentioned before re Miguel how they craft these episodes together. This was just brilliant and not what I was expecting. The power of TV summed up on a train ride.

I mean really, did we just watch a masterclass or what?

It was beautiful, each train carriage stuffed full of emotion, it was really hard to keep it together watching this, which begs the questiion.

Have I watched a more emotional episode? GoT Hold the Door and Six Feet Under finale left me in bits, but this bad boy, well it got really ugly by the end.

My wife said 'you just need to let it go, here's a tissue' and I certainly did.

Best so far (OK only 3)
16 May 2022
Yet to watch episode 4 but really enjoyed this one, first episode was all over the place, 2 gathered pace, this one hits the ground running.

Watching in the UK and nice to see some Brits in action.

Off piste and just wanted to say, watch The Shadow Line (2011) if you like Chiwetel Ejiofor) a remarkable TV show from the BBC that has hardly any coverage.

Loved the use of. Joy, Apollo 100 at end of this episode, made me think yes, this shows going places now.

Stunning Episode
6 May 2022
As TV fans we crave for episodes like this, it's all make believe but somehow it is made to be so real. Actors acting to a script that has been beautifully written. The direction, the editing, the way it wraps itself around the viewer emotionally was amazing, it was one for the ages.

There isn't many 'stand alone' episodes of TV I can think of that can match this, it was truly stunning.

#lovemiguel.

Magic TV
14 April 2022
The reason I give it a 10. This is this first episode where I have actually let out a wail and cried, yes I've had tears pouring down my face on quite a few episodes but this one I finally let it out.

Maybe it was Chelsea going out of the Champions League on Tuesday night, or those last 5 minutes that summed up the Katoby story.

I know all of our opinions are different, I respect that and each of us see this show through different eyes, but this one really hurt.

It was a magnificent piece of writing that crafted one of the best episodes of the show. It was magic TV.

One Way to Kill off a Franchise
13 February 2022
I'm afraid this one wasn't for me, just felt the whole movie from start to finish wasn't up to the usual standard of Kingsman.

Chuck a few big name actors into the mix and we'll be OK, well it wasn't OK and hope there's no more.

Shame as 1 and 2 were pretty Ok.

It's getting daft now

I do love AHS and hope this turns around. I'm really not liking the idea of a 1 for 2 offer this season.

I'm Done
26 September 2021
I guess I will never understand this show, or maybe I will never get this type of show, either way I won't be watching the rest.

Honestly from where I'm sitting it does nothing, just it won Emmy's (7) I think. How?

This episode after last week's farce was marginally better, but alas it will be another so called comedy show someone recommended that I will ditch.

I'm sorry for all those 10/10 out there but really we are not on the same planet I'm afraid. This is just duff.

Ted Lasso: Beard After Hours (2021)

I think you've been hoodwinked
18 September 2021
Sorry to all those high scoring reviewers. This episode was just boring, where were the laughs. I didn't need an 'After Hours' journey to know Beard's insecurities, that played out in SE01.

This episode was just plain daft, in my opinion. Didn't work for me I'm afraid, but nor did The Blair Witch Project and was was supposed to be mental. The only film I have ever walked out on, complete nonsense.

All in all I will scrub SE03 of Ted Lasso if they make it, just not enough of the funny stuff to keep me occupied.

No wonder I don't ever watch comedy shows any more, they just don't cut it. I'll leave my humour to shows like Succession and Billions and stop kidding myself that actual comedy shows I like out there in the real world.

Sorry but for me this is the end after the finale.

It's Certainly Growing on Me
27 October 2020
It's like Season 3 never happened. Loved E05 and this continues in the same vain. Am I feeling this season has some very good Fargo 'The Movie' moments. Right from the start there are scenes so typically Fargo, the opening scene, then bang, straight into scene two. I also felt a slight touch of Millers Crossing at end. It's wonderful stuff when you get it right.
