Little Bigfoot 2: The Journey Home (1998)
A Fast paced family adventure
From the opening aerial shots you can see that you are in for a rapid rollercoaster ride. This sequel takes up where Little Bigfoot left off. This time a dysfunctional family led by Dad (Stephen Furst), goes to the wilderness to bond. His kids and their hilariously funny friend have other things in mind. The action scenes in the film are matched by the comedic touches the actors bring to their roles. The high paced action and comedy is tempered with real Native American concerns and this ads a touch of humanity to the film. One of the best things in the film is the Cast and Directing. They manage to breath life into an average script. This film is definitely worth seeing.
Little Bigfoot (1997)
A family film worth watching
Little Bigfoot is a small but warm tale of a family trip that turns into a quest to save a small creature from a certain fate. The characters are well thought-out and acted. The writing is clever and the director did a great job at telling the story with a stylish touch. This film proves that you don't need to have several million dollars to create a good film. This film really does have something everybody, not just kids. The film's antagonists aren't just some stick figure villains you see in so many movies. They are real people concerned with real problems and their motivations stem from this. The kids are real. They aren't precocious. They are just real kids. One of the highlights is pre-Baywatch Kelly Packard. She's a tremendously underrated actress. She's not only great to watch but her performance is wonderful.
Point Doom (2000)
A potentially good film.
Point Doom had the potential of being a pretty good movie. It had a great cast: Richard Grieco, Andrew "Dice" Clay, Angie Everhart, Ice T, Zach Galligan, Jennifer O Dell. Great action. Stylish direction. Cool cinematography but it had no real script. The actor's did a phenomenal job with what they were given. But there are times in the movie when you get the feeling that they were making it up as they went along. It's unfortunate that the script was so lacking in substance and plot. A real screenwriter could've turned this average action thriller into a really good film. Never-the-less it is still worth watching.
Michael Angel (2000)
One of Richard Grieco's best.
This is one of Richard Grieco's finest performances. He's totally absent of any actor pretense and totally absorbed into his character. Richard reaches real emotional depths. This film is not for everyone but if you want to see real acting watch this one.
To Be the Best (1993)
Action packed entertainment at its best.
If you want to see a really strong dramatic piece of celluloid you've come to the wrong place. But if you really want to be entertained with spectacular fight action with some drama, this is the film for you. To Be The best offers fight fans everything they could want in a fight action film. The fights are some of the best. The choreography is so well done you really feel these men are pummeling each other. The fight direction and editing is extremely well done. Oh, and by the way there is a strong story here not just fights.
Firepower (1993)
It's the WWF times ten.
Firepower is the kind of film that fits right in with the wrestling crowd. It's story is average but the action is top notch. You even have an ex-wrestler in the film. The fights are well done and Chad McQueen does an OK job in his role as does the rest of the cast. It is definitely for late night crowd.
Final Payback (2001)
A must-see action thriller with a twist
I felt that from the opening action sequence to the riveting finale, this film was an emotional roller coaster ride. Richard Grieco did a great job in his role as a washed up cop and the veteran actors John Saxon, Corbin Bernsen and Martin Kove were so colorful in their Co-starring roles. Kove played a righteous man who sometimes has to do bad things. The script was mediocre at best but the Direction was splendid. The action sequences in the film were shot and edited real edgy, sort of like an MTV music video with the exception of the deadly consequences. Even though it was a low budget thriller it felt like an A budget film.
The Power Within (1995)
A story about finding the Power within yourself.
This film shows what you can do with little money and lots of imagination. The story is simple and well told. The action is not high tech or computer animation driven. It is exciting never-the- less. The martial arts choreography is very strong without being too campy or gimmicky. TJ Roberts is the real McCoy in his martial arts. I think the title says it all. It's a fun adventure into discovering your true potential.
Bloodfist III: Forced to Fight (1991)
One of Don Wilson's finest efforts
I felt that Don Wilson, the director and his supporting cast did a lot with little money. The script was strong as well as the performances of much of the cast. This ensemble helped bring Wilson's acting to another level. The action was OK, It could've been much better but it wasn't bad.
