People are really overanalyzing this show and seem to forget it was made for KIDS. I grew up with it and absolutely adored it. I did not notice anything wrong, I just enjoyed the beautiful songs and cheesy storylines. Rewatching it now, as I tend to do sometimes, of course I see how some parts weren't the best but for my childhood self this show was a big part of my life and I loved it.
