Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2022)
This movie makes me sob like a baby and I'm a grown man
I straight up REFUSE to believe anyone that gave this 5 stars or under actually watched the movie. You can watch this movie without watching the show first (although I wouldn't recommend it) so if you're one of the people who won't watch the show because the turtles aren't serious enough for you, I'd start with this and see how you feel. There is far less jokes due to the darker tone of the movie when compared to the show, the show does get serious when it needs to however. This movie shattered me right out the gate and I was a weeping mess for a good portion of it. The animation gets bumped up from the show due to the movie budget and it's INCREDIBLE!!!! This entire movie is pure eye candy and I'd give my soul, all of my limbs and my dog to watch this in theaters. You'd have to be really stupid to think this is a bad movie. I don't care if that's harsh. This might be my favorite movie of all time now. I've watched it multiple times but I have to leave a bit of a gap in rewatches or I'll get dehydrated from how much I'm crying. This movie is so cool and the fight at the end is the most incredible action I've ever seen. Move out of the way every other TMNT, Rise is coming for you. This is one shell of a movie and you NEED to watch it. I mean all of it, not just the first 10 minutes *cough cough* 1 star reviews *cough*
I know I didn't really explain much about the movie itself but if you haven't seen it then I want you to go in spoiler free. Bring tissues.
Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2018)
Please give it a shot
A lot of old fans of TMNT have giving this show a far harsher review than it ever deserved. Yes, the character design is different. Yes, the personalities are different. Yes, the way they fight is different. Different doesn't mean bad though. Lots of people went in with their nostalgia goggles on so tight it cut off the circulation to their brain and could not look past the fact that it's not the TMNT they grew up with. I didn't have this issue since I only watched TMNT when I was really little so to me this was already it's own thing. You have to go in seeing it as it's own thing and not more of the TMNT you want. I slept on this show because I wasn't big on TMNT despite watching it was a kid. I heavily regret not watching this show sooner. It is one of the funniest shows I've watched in a long time and that is not an exaggeration, there were parts where I genuinely screamed out laughing. Comparisons to Teen Titans GO are just stupid and they didn't watch past a trailer and the pilot. I've watched enough TTG to know that humor style and it's not even close. As for the animation, it is GOD TIER. I have never been more star struck by animation in my LIFE. Its better than any anime I've seen and I will die on this hill. The plot doesn't seem to be a big part at the start of the show but that's because there is a huge plot brewing in the background. I'd compare it more to Gravity Falls where it seems really episodic until the grand finale where everything comes together in the most satisfying, rewarding way. You can tell a lot of the reviews where made by people who didn't get through the first season because they'll say there is no/little plot. That is just flat out wrong. I won't go into more detail because of spoilers but please watch the show if you were avoiding it for that reason. Drop any preconceived notions about the show and watch it, please. It may surprise you.
Also Raph is a king and I do not care if you don't like that he's big. He is perfect.

Very good
This show isn't super smart or have amazing morals, this show is simply one to watch for fun with a handful of emotional beats. If you're looking for something smart then this isn't for you but if you're looking for something fun and casual then I would completely recommend checking it out!
