A Fantástica Fábrica de Golpes (2021)
Powerful. Epic.
One of the most important documentaries that has bren produced to highlight a coup against a fragile Brazilian democracy.
It is impossible to deny history and the facts. Essential watch this courageous documentary to understand the democracy in Brazil and beyound.
The documentary reveals how the media and right-wing party deposed the first woman elected in Brazil, Dilma Rouseff (Labours party) during her second presidential term.
The coup d'état took place six years ago, but it is clearly how the coup still reflects in all sections on Brazilian society today.
Again: Powerful. Epic documentary. Must watch it.
Francesca (2017)
Breathtaking Francesca
Passoni has the ability to write poetry with images and sounds, Francesca is one of her beautiful poems.
The director makes us dive deeply into the history of a girl, that can be one of us.
Must watch it, marvellous six u n f o r g e t a b l e minutes.
Despite being a short film, this doesn't negate the impact of the underlying themes and deserves to be a feature.
Francesca is a young girls journey into puberty, the dramas of growing up and becoming an adult.
Passoni, once again, delivery more than the audience can imagine from a short movie.
I hope to see very soon the next of Passoni's movies.
Êxtase (2020)
A masterpiece.
Êxtase is not just a film - it is a sensory experience with peaks of catharsis through overlapping images, which pulsate on the border between documentary and fiction. It displays impeccable photography, and dialogues that cradle and "hook" the viewer. Life gains more meaning after watching this masterpiece by Moara Passoni.
