Cocomelon (2018–2022)
2/10
A very below average preschool show
29 April 2022
Okay, now don't get me wrong, I'm a teen and I really shouldn't be watching this. But young kids, particularly ones under the age of 6 really deserve better content to watch and Cocomelon isn't that.

My first flaw with the show is that the animation is way too slow. I mean compared to another CGI show aimed at young children such as Ready Jet Go, which has faster animation, is much more interesting to watch and contains much better CGI. Which leads to my next issue with Cocomelon.

Secondly, the CGI is very vapid and resembles more like a shovelware PS1/Nintendo 64 game more than an actual show compared to other shows aimed at the same audience. I mean you'll see a huge difference when you compare Cocomelon with another CGI show like another popular preschool show (in this case, PAW Patrol). Unlike Cocomelon, PAW Patrol has pretty decent CGI and you can tell they took the time to animate the show rather than rushing to produce something that makes Bubsy 3D look like Super Mario Galaxy in comparison.

My third and quite possibly the most obvious flaw with this show is that is this show is simply for "kids only". What makes most preschool shows I like (namely, Sesame Street, Bluely, Alphablocks, and Cyberchase) is that those shows know that parents will be watching it with them instead of being something that'll distract an a child via over-stimulants.

Final Words: It's not good. Not the worst preschool show out there, but parents are better off looking for something produced by a company that puts effort into their shows such as Warner Bros. Discovery, Paramount, Sesame Workshop, WildBrain, Nelvana, PBS, or BBC. The only thing that's keeping it from having a 1/10 is that it IS slightly educational to give it credit.

Pipe down, mediocre possum.... (Mediocre???)
31 January 2022
The first three Ice Age movies played a pretty big role in my childhood often competing with other movie franchise such as The Land Before Time, Minions, and even Disney. But The Adventures of Buck Wild is just a typical sequel. Much like that Land Before Time movie (you know, the one with the three dinosaurs no one liked), this movie just felt like Disney (who brought Fox in 2019) was melting the already small Ice Berg that was the franchise we all once thought was dead.

The CGI, while pretty underwhelming, wasn't that bad (especially compared to something such as Minions or even Toy Story 4 for that matter) it still felt like a downgrade from Dawn of the Dinosaurs. And the story writing was forgetful at best.

My final thoughts? This film isn't the worst Ice age film, but that doesn't mean it's good. It just didn't feel right when the 20th Century Fox logo was replaced by the beautiful yet VERY annoying Disney logo. So I'd pass unless you are a diehard ice age fan.

Don't ya mess with my boys (Thomas and Nelvana) Mattel!
15 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Personally, this is probably the worst reboot (well, second to worst if you exclude the notorious Adult Party Cartoon) I've ever seen. Now don't get me wrong, 2D Thomas IS a good concept on paper. It just wasn't executed right thanks to Mattel mistreating HiT products. But what I don't get, is the fact that they got nearly everything wrong. And just to let you know, Teen Titans Go had better grasp on their material. So did BtB 2015 and even Babar and the Adventures of Badou! Come one Mattel, you ruined most of the trains, and you shoved pop culture references. Even little kids hate this! So do us a favor and put down Barbie and Monster High and actually improve this.

Donkey Hodie (2021– )
10/10
PBS strikes again!
3 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
After watching the first episode of Donkey Hodie, I loved it. It combines the creativity or Sesame Street, the quirkiness Mister Rogers and the comedy of Nature Cat. While it lacks the e/i symbol that most PBS shows are known for, it's still a wholesome good morals. The songs are catchy, the characters are likable (like most PBS shows) and it doesn't that the repetitive slow voices that Nick junior shows have. This, Numberblocks and Messy Goes to OKIDO could end up as my next favorite shows!

Shocking to find this on PBS
3 May 2021
Whenever I think of PBS, I always think of fun and creative educational shows that all ages can enjoy. But Boohbah, is a different story. This show seemly lacks the educational content that most PBS shows are known for and the exercise scenes, are pure nightmare fuel! So despite it being on PBS, it lacks the educational content that they have. I'd rather watch Barney than this.

Honestly not as bad as i thought it was
29 April 2021
Baby shark was really big back in 2019. So big that it became annoying to hear even a note of it. But when I heard that they were producing a show on it, I was like "oh no, this can't be". But after checking it out, it's honestly a pretty wholesome show and feels like a Family Guy for preschoolers. But then again, I'm not even close to the show's demographic and I personally think that a preschooler would enjoy it! Hopefully it will put PAW Patrol into it's grave.

Timbuctoo (1998–2000)
9/10
A rather underated show of the 90s
23 December 2020
Base of off the books by Roger Hargraves, the Timbuctoo series gets a TV adaptation! The characters still have the same personalities from the book series as well as each episode revolving around a different animal. I also like the fact that each animal is named after the noises they make. For example, Moo is a Bovine. While the show can get pretty creepy at times, it's a rather underrated British show that's constantly being overshadowed by the Mr Men franchise. But that my only flaw of the show if you exclude the rather annoying fans on scratch that think everything is a rip-off of this.

Rainbow Ruby (2016–2020)
5/10
Underwhelming compared to other shows of the demographic
23 December 2020
Alright, Rainbow Ruby. While the theme song is a banger, the majority of the show is pretty underwhelming when you compare it to other female-oriented shows. The show basically revolves around a little girl named Ruby and her world full of toys. While the CGI's decent, the plots can be very underwhelming at times. And some of the characters really seem to lack development. While True and the Rainbow Kingdom is superior to this, it is still nonetheless a decent show despite how underwhelming it is.

And Inside, I'm tall...
23 December 2020
Wonder how I got my username from? Well, this is to blame. Madeline is a suprisingly good show from the start to end (despite all of the flanderazation during new adventures). While the specials (looking at you, Madeline's Christmas) can get pretty boring at times, the grand majority of episodes are pretty solid when it comes to voice acting, plots and humor. Not to mention that Pepito and Miss Clavell are pretty likeable too. The animation is pretty solid too. My only irk with the show is the (extremely) over-repetitive songs! Whatever you do, expect at least one song every episode.

Numberblocks (2017–2024)

A pretty solid show
23 December 2020
Numberblocks is a pretty solid show in my opinion. The animation is amazing and the songs are pretty catchy. Not to mention that some episodes even teach things that aren't even apart of preschool mathematics such as Multiplication and Division (take that, Team Umizoomi)! Aside from the wildly toxic fanbase that even makes Vyond look sane in comparison, my only problem is that One can become a pretty arrogant blockhead at times. But overall, I recommend the show and if you hate it, I'm okay with it.

A cute and wholesome show
17 December 2020
You & Me... Oh You and Me, I've been waiting for ages to encounter this show and I'd say it's worth the wait. I don't know why the other person said that JP is a bad role model when he portrays a positive attitude. The other monsters can range from pretty cute to downright horrifying. I'd recommend it.

Messy Goes to Okido (2015– )
9/10
Despite the name, I don't find it messy at all!
17 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
When I first heard of Messy Goes to OKIDO, I wondered what it is. Then after I've watched some of it, I really like it. Messy (yes, that's his name) is a fairly likeable monster and the animation reminds me of a mix between Nature Cat and The Amazing World of Gumball (Two other shows I don't mind watching. In fact, I enjoy the latter). But my biggest problem is that some of the songs can get pretty repetitive. Also, is't a shocker to see something based off of a Magazine (it's called OKIDO in case if your wondering).

Cosmic Quantum Ray (2007– )
8/10
An overall decent show
25 November 2020
Now the first time I saw this, I was thinking "now this looks interesting" and after I watched it, I thought that the humor was pretty good. Quantum Ray's dumbness somehow makes the experience better. Robbie's very relatable as a teenage boy myself, Doctor Buckleworth, he's the worst of the bunch, but her nerdy attitudes remind me a lot of Milhouse from the Simpsons. And then there's Atee & Geecy. Both teenage aliens that I personally like their personalities. While they can be annoying, the show doesn't feel the same without them. The show only has 13 episodes, making it pretty easy to complete and I recommend this show if you're into Teenage boys with a team of robots and aliens.

Jerry and his raiders are okay!
25 November 2020
Jerry and the Raiders is a pretty decent show for me. While Nicole and Jerry are constantly being tortured by Jerry's toys, they still endure to the end with smiles on their faces. While my only complaint is the CGI. It look's underwhelming. But overall, the humor's decent and the cast of characters are likable.

Elinor Wonders Why (2020– )

Honestly, I like it.
15 November 2020
Whenever Nick Jr and Disney Jr Zig by desperately pandering towards the hip and cool crowd, PBS zags with zany new ideas and this is no exception. The first time I saw this show (It was during an Inspector Gadget marathon on Qubo), I was surprised by how cute and (somewhat) relatable the cast is even for Teens like myself. Not to mention that it gives me Alfred Hedgehog vibes too. Which gives me a fresh bit of nostalgia. I hope this show gets an emmy award someday. Because it's the best show for 2020 in my opinion.

Zuzubalandia (2018–2021)

What.. Did... I.. Just... SEE???
27 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Well.. Zuzubalandia is a pretty obnoxious show. While there are some redeeming qualities (such as the amazing theme song and the decent animation), the poor outdo the redeeming qualities. First off, Zuzu is kind of a Mary Sue. Especially when you compare her to other heroines such as Madeline, Twilight Sparkle, Star Butterfly, Sandy and Misty. These heroines (among others) are aware of their flaws. But Zuzu doesn't even give a squawk. And the Morals. Are there even any? Since Zuzu encourages kids to eat candy. The main villain is an undead version of Sapphira from Pearlie and actually looks worse. Do I recommend this? Not really. Other than the really good theme song, it's bad. Watch Maya the Bee instead.

A show that abuses Godwin's Law against science just for the sake of it.
29 August 2020
You know religious Cartoons, Some are fun and informative. While others, such as this, are absolute trash. The first time I've ever heard of this was on a Phantomstrider list and though "Now how could this be bad?" and when I saw that (most) of the antagonists of the show were mad scientists, I then thought "Now why would you hate science all because of one Theory?" Heck, there are even some scriptures that even have scientific information! I'd rather watch Boople or Donkey Ollie over this. The only religous show I think that's worse than this is the infamous Tomorrow's Pioneers.

Buddi (2020– )
7/10
Cute but horrifying at the same time.
8 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Now I've seen most of the show already (you can finish it in under 2 hours), and the show looks cute, but the creatures scream the Uncanny Valley. But if you exclude that, it's a pretty good show and it's a good replacement for the dreadful Teletubbies (even though it's okay in my opinion). So in every episode, the Buddis discover a problem an must use the power of teamwork to solve it. I like how this show lacks the slow voices that shows like Dora have or an annoying narrator that shows like Peppa Pig have. I recommend this if you're looking for a preschool show on Netflix that's not Ask the Storybots (Really though, that's the best original I've seen with a TV-Y rating). But overall, it has valuable lessons but horrifying protagonists on par with the borderline unwatchable Boohbah..

A Reboot that's worth watching
17 June 2020
Whenever I see a reboot of one of my favorite cartoons, I've always feel doubtful if it has the charm of the original. But Badou, is an exception. Though the CGI could surprise some and the lack of some beloved ones as well (such as Madame). But the increase of new ones as well as it's quirky humor redeems it. It's a reboot that I recommend very much. It has the same charm as the original.

Yar har anchors away!
16 June 2020
This show is very memorable. We have very likeable and memorable cast, Such as Princes Cleo, Captain Leo, Etc. Though I'm sad that George and Martha had to be sacrificed for this toon, but the memorable cast and catchy theme song really redeems it. Also, for those who hate it, you could always wait untill 4 PM to watch Qubo. It works.

Vivi Viravento (2017– )

A rather underrated gem to look at.
8 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Whenever us qubo fans think about shows on Qubo, We think of shows like Babar, Jacob Two-Two, heck, even Madeline. But no one talks about Vivi. Vivi is about a girl and her cute pals going into the magical? place named Whirligig (Lol). Though some might not like it due to it's animation style resembling Fox Kids' Angela Anaconda (Don't remind me). But its an underrated gem that I recommend. At least compared to Puppydog Tales.
