The Legend of Korra: The Battle of Zaofu (2014)
THEY DID IT!
The madlads! They actually did it! Even tho Korra is back, she's still not quite fully healed!
This is exactly what I've been begging for in my past reviews here!
I'm so excited because the stakes are now pretty darn high!
The Legend of Korra: The Calling (2014)
Well... Korra is back already
I'm glad the writers let Korra take some time to come back. I was just hoping she wouldn't be back for like 2 more episodes!
Make the people suffer a little, because Korra is gone! Then make her come back to save the day!
Still better than if she would have been there from the season's start.
Also, I mostly agree with what other people here are saying. Meelo is very unlikable. But I think that's the point.
Siblings can be annoying and immature. Especially the younger ones. They have to grow up. And boy, do I hope Meelo matures...
The Legend of Korra: The Coronation (2014)
I'm so glad Korra is still not back
As I wrote in my review of the first episode of this season, I was hoping Korra would take a while to get back to action, because it would be much more exciting.
I'm so glad that Toph wasn't another guru-like character who would magically solve all of Korra's problems. She needs to solve them herself.
Now I'm just hoping that something really bad will happen while Korra is out and then everything will seem lost. To bring up the tension much more than the previous seasons. Then she would step in and save the world (again).
The Legend of Korra: After All These Years (2014)
Pretty good setup so far...
I just started watching the 4th (and last) season, and I can tell you, it looks very interesting.
So after the whole Red Lotus incident, Korra looks like she has given up hope. I think this is a brave writing choice.
It also makes sense from the character's perspective. Looking back at the previous seasons, Korra has been through a lot. Some of her actions and choices have a permanent impact on not only the world, but the Avatar cycle itself. Season 2 especially. So it makes sense for the character to be very shaken.
I hope the writers stick with their decision and won't let Korra come back too easily. If they do, you could use the excuse that it has been 3 years, which is a pretty long time. But I still think it would be interesting to see the other characters deal with whatever danger there is on their own. Korra should only come back in like, mid-season (or whenever everything seems lost) to save the world for the 4th and final time.
The Legend of Korra: Endgame (2012)
Almost perfect!
I had just one problem. Korra gets her bending taken away, we are supposed to have an emotional reaction to that (I certainly did). But the whole thing is completely pointless, because she gets it back 3 minutes later with literally no effort.
