Napoleon Dynamite (2004)
Terry GIlliam couldn't make this movie funny.
This movie lowered the quality of my life. Everybody at my school said it was the "funniest movie ever." Apparently, this "funniest movie ever" is nothing but 90 minutes of catch-phrases.
So, Napoleon Dynamite is a movie about a dorky guy named Napoleon and...he...uh...OK, so the movie is about nothing. Kinda like Seinfeld, but really lame. I guess it's really funny if you are a jerk who likes to laugh at the expense of other people. If anybody says that "it's something they relate to" they are living a lie.
Supposedly, it's "Nonsense comedy." But, when I think of "Nonsense comedy" Monty Python or Upright Citizens brigade come to mind. The thing is, Napoleon Dynamite is technically a "Pointless Comedy." Scratch that, a "Pointless Movie."
Jon Heder is a terrible actor. His whole spectrum of acting ranges from Napoleon Dynamite to Napoleon Dynamite. I hear he wants to get into animation and that's good for him. If he does, that way, he can STOP ACTING.
However, there is one good feeling this movie left me with. The fact that I can dance, draw and even act better than Jon Heder.
My generation is severely screwed. If anybody reads this, please watch Dr. Strangelove or Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail.
Meru hevun (2005)
I could have thought this crap out myself...
If I could live with the shame. The only thing this show did right was make the main character likable, but when episode 2 comes around you stop caring about him. He is some normal daydreaming nerd like you or me and GUESS WHAT!? he gets transported though a portal to a magic world that he will have to save! 0o0o0o0o0o0o0oh! They also try to blend CGI with it, but it just looks terrible. That is the same mistake that Justice league Unlimited made. The character designs are extremely unoriginal. Its like the person who was creating it thought to himself: "The more spikes we add to his head, the better the character will be." The plot is trite and predictable.
Scrubs (2001)
I recall something from American Dad...
I remember a scene from American Dad where Francine was a Heart Surgeon for a while and came back home after a long days work and said "No wonder those doctors of Scrubs don't have time to be funny." So true...
Scrubs was recently put on Comedy Centrals lineup for whatever reason. I have been watching for a while and I can't see why it's so damn popular. Listen up, IMDb, reaffirming some guys comment or attitude towards something with a corny visual cue IS NOT FUNNY! It is clearly trying way too hard to be funny. If you check the Trivia section here, you will see that even the creator of this show knew it sucked. This show is just the epitome of mediocrity. Go watch House or the Upright Citizens Brigade or something.
Trinity Blood (2005)
A dumb blurry show about dumb blurry vampires.
Trinity blood is a dumb show. For some reason or another Tokyopop said the Trinity Blood manga was "a must have manga" and the anime apparently has a 7.5 rating here. Now, don't let any of that fool you. I saw this anime a couple times and somehow I couldn't care about what was going on. In fact, I barley knew WHAT was going on. There is no coherent plot yet. All they do is talk about religion and stuff, and there is barley any action or instant gratification. Maybe I will know after a little filler passes by, but by then, I would have long since stopped caring. The art style is awful, it is just so blurry. They will tell you that its just some lighting effect. Don't believe any of that. I figure the only people who could like this are goth kids who are obsessed with vampires.
