1883 (2021)
It's new it can not be good, let alone 8's, 9's, and 10's!
Being born in 1968 i can tell you i had to watch ALL the best western's playing catch up ball. Not since maybe the mid 90's has a western worth a damn been made. I laugh when i finally see a low ranking score every 15 positive reviews. These are the people with a clue. Sam Elliott is not going to save anything made today, especially at his age (born in 44). Watch Deadwood again, because that is about when it ended, unfortunately they couldn't keep all the stars around and it cancelled in 3 years! Par for the course, they say. Or you can treat yourself to most all western's between 1960 and 1985. Don't go to far back or they get corny. Unless we are talking movies that just can't be explained how it's so great but so old like 1948's the treasure of sierra madre..ok i'm done, lol. PS. Gave it a 4 without seeing it since good ols Sam Elliott is still alive and acting pushing 80 soon....peace-out.
Il mio nome è Nessuno (1973)
all the 1 to 3 votes are from past 3 years, young people lower score of EPIC movie
This movie has always been one of my favorite movies of all time. Born in 68' and loving the western's genre, it's without a doubt an absolute classic. Reading the 1 to 3 year old reviews in here calling it a cartoon and terrible have not a clue what it's even about. Makes me sick the youngest generation or millennial's whatever come in here and trash it. Ridiculous. All i can do is down vote them. Thank god i was born when i was, should have been 20 years earlier.... If you watch this movie and don't like it and your over say...40, I feel sorry for ya. Unless you just HATE western's, that said, don't vote then or leave comment. If you were born in the late 90's or later, just stay away from it. It be less annoying then. A work of ART with a rating this low, and you have to scroll pages upon pages back to get to the 8,9, and 10's from people with a clue. I remember when IMDB was trustworthy but the video game playing ADULT generation that ruined our movies with Super Hero this and Super Hero that, have not a clue. Thank god i'm 53, wish i was 73. At least i'd had more time alive and older when things were still cool.... I rated it a 9.....cause GBU is a 10.
The Blair Witch Project (1999)
This movie is rated to low, saw it at theater when i was 31 and scared the hell out of me until my wife told me at the end it wasn't real!
Great film but yes it is true my 27 year old wife fooled the drunk roofer i was then into believing the footage really was found and they made a movie about it. OK, yes i agree, hard to believe an idiot guy (me) would think and believe his wife 4 years younger than himself but i did. Because of this fact it holds a special place in my heart as one of the best experiences i ever had at the theater in my life. I was petrified ! Don't be fooled in thinking that you will have as fantastic a time as i did, now that i ruined it for you. That is, if you were in the dark at this point in time today, like i was back then. It's no Ride the high country or treasure of sierra madre, which are movies that float my boat along with the ballad of cable hogue or the GBU, but still the same it's a cool flick if you are not one of those ying yangs born after the 80's...
10 Cloverfield Lane (2016)
I had no problem with the film kinda want to just review the reviews
Not bad but could have been so, so, much better. Does it only happen in Cloverfield ? Ok attempt after the first one.....kinda stuff! On this very site the 2008 original is only a 7 and this 2016 effort is ranked 7.2. Has anybody ever got sick to their stomachs when they realize the world they live in is filled with idiots? I'm not talking spelling/grammar... I am a 53 year old roofer, trust me. The more i read this site threw the years the more i realize people born after about say 1980 to 1985 depending on maybe the person, are clowns. I remember when the comments on this site were cool, 15-20 years ago-lol. Thank the lord i don't believe in that i was born in 68. You can live to long.
Arrivano Django e Sartana... è la fine (1970)
If One more amigo busts my boy Miles Deem, It's gonna get ugly....BAR ROOM UGLY !!!
If you don't like Spaghetti's, don't watch EM'. Man I tell ya... He made 12 or so. Directed also. You either like em; or you don't. Clowns come in here with their Ed Wood garbage. I have watched this Italian Western countless times because I am a FAN of Spaghetti Western FLICKS. If you will...People who do not prefer this GENRE or just don't really have any business to be in here to do a critique on the subject, constantly put down these movies. This is one of the better ones. If you don't like it, move on. It's got 5 or so cool actors in it, not just KLAUS KINSKI for 2 seconds, Excellent MIDDLE tier SPAGHETTI. So tired of the under 30's in here who don't know if their ass is punched or bored....
C'è Sartana... vendi la pistola e comprati la bara! (1970)
Oh no plot, not an original Sartana movie, don't make sense, and not explained properly...Then watch in eleven times!
Only part that did not make sense was right in beginning when the bandits left the sand bags in the wagon instead of disposing them to cause an appearance they were stolen. To not give up the secret the gold never leaves town. Other than that it is classic spaghetti. Of course exaggerated and impossible like all spaghetti's, but that is why a true fan of the genre watches them in the first place. Hilton is better than Garko, this is a better Sartana than the other 4, in my humble opinion. There are a few lower ranking Spaghetti's i always find myself reviewing and this is one of them. I absolutely love it, and people who don't get the million double crosses just need to view it multiple times. I call no one stupid cause i needed to view it multiple times to really take it all in. It's amazing how after many views, simply from the true love of the genre, I notice things i missed on the millionth viewing! LOL, I'm no rocket scientist but i hate people who watch my favorite movie genre offerings 1 time then write a review saying dopey things. Even worse is people who are so stuck on the fact that Garko was not in this one and state it's not a real Sartana even if they say it is. LOL, please! I suggest to anyone who that reads this review, to count how many times the different parties interested in the gold-double cross each other. How many times they agree with the parties involved, to do one thing but then do the opposite. How many times they all screw each other, period. It has high level humor, action, and NEVER a dull moment. One of them Spaghetti's they could have made longer instead of SHOULD have made shorter. What else you looking for? If you scoff at the exaggerated and retarded parts, DON'T watch it! You have to be in love with the Genre of Italian/Spanish spaghetti westerns. Is it GBU or Once apon a time in the west? Hell NO. It is however an excellent Spaghetti and let me add.... I love Garko and every spaghetti he ever appeared in. I just like the story and Hilton better in this one. Another spaghetti they always pick on that i always find myself going back to watch is the second Arizone Colt, made in 1970 The Hired Gun with my boy Anthony Steffen that clowns call a wooden actor! LOL, what you think Clint Eastwood was half the time in the 3 classics? Steffen was born to be a Spaghetti star, perfect actor with the right looks for the job. Watch VIVA DJANGO with Steffen not the one with sometimes the same title referenced with the great Terrence Hill. Then tell me Anthony Steffen movies are not fantastic! I don't do many reviews but since whenever i find myself free i watch a few over and over, reading the other reviews gave me a case of the ass. Hence hadda put my 2 cents in. Peace.....
Il suo nome era Pot (1971)
3.8 with 2 reviews? Kidding me right?
Thing is, to people that love the genre this a 5. I mean 2 1/2 stars on a 1-10 format/10 star review, easy. People who don't love spaghetti - sure alright. 3.8 to scare you away with the TRUTH. If you love western's, especially spaghetti's.... It's at least a 5, notice i didn't get carried away with myself. Another thing is, i personally have found once i had pretty much exhausted most all spaghetti western's and had ran out of the new ones i could get my hands on, save a few.....I actually found myself to enjoy the Miles Deem (AKA) directed flicks, a bit more. It's just something that you either have in ya, or you don't, period. Italian/Spanish mash-ups i like to call em'. However if you happen to be normal, ya i guess a 3.8 ! Too Funny man.....
