Unfrosted (2024)
Funny movie for older folks.
Simple review here. This film is written by Jerry, who is 70. The result is a hilarious film primarily for older people. Many of the gags and comments are not understood if you were born after 1990 or so. Those of us who grew up in the 50s and 60s will laugh out loud at many of the jokes. Is the film silly? Yes. But it's meant to be. In many reviews here, folks are over analyzing this movie. It's for fun folks. As long as you get the jokes. The interesting thing is in an interview that Jerry had on a National morning show, he was asked if he had gotten permission to use the Kelloggs and Post names. He said he hadn't. But he didn't care.
Enjoy your pop tarts and have fun watching a delightfully entertaining movie as long you get it.
Fallen Angels Murder Club: Friends to Die For (2022)
Just awful.
Do yourself a favor....don't watch this. It's insipid. The plot is transparent to the point of absurdity. The acting is amateurish and the ending was quite predictable because there was no foreshadowing at all. It's supposed to be a mystery. The only mystery is how this made by Lifetime.
Foundation (2021)
Give Foundation a chance.
Based on Asimovs classics, this wide reaching epic is beautiful to look at. The creators have asked Apple for 3 seasons in order to tell the arc. The cast will change from season to season due to the time involved. Season 1 has a stellar cast led by Lee Pace, Jared Harris and a cast of many. I won't tell any of the story other than it's true to the original novels in scope. Enjoy as it's quite engrossing. Waiting for season 2 will be tedious.
