First 2 seasons are a miracle
30 March 2020
I've rewatched it so many times! Lena has defined my adolescence, especially the beginning of her relationship with the first boyfriend (avoiding spoilers). This show is a must see and it's truly HILARIOUS, but I have to warn you - first two seasons are a miracle, but the third one is a fever dream that should not exist (watch only as a separate story, the real one stops at the great ending of the 2nd season)

"I did my waiting, 12 years of it, in Azkaban" for the new adaptation AND IT'S AMAZING
22 March 2020
I absolutely LOVE the new adaptation, it's gorgeous, the music is great, the characters are finally true to the original manga (oh my Shigure!!!!!) and it just gives you the feeling that the team working on it are all fans themselves!

Maybe I am a bit biased since I've been a fan of the story for the last decade, but I cried every single episode, even though I knew everything that was going to happen. It's astounding, I'm sooo thankful for this reboot and for finally getting the representation of Shigure and Akito that I deserve.

10/10.

The bible of my heart

"May the bridges I burn light the way"

Even if the anime was bad (and it's great!!!), I would still give it a 10/10 just for introducing me to the original manga - the BEST manga of all time in all of the universes forever. My heart and soul belong to the author since 2009.

This is a story that has defined my outlook on relationships, on the sense of self-worth, on the importance of staying true to yourself and others - it has defined my whole being. The heroine is the absolute best, a true role model for all the girls in the world, her strength and her courage have saved me when I needed it most (and still continue too, as the manga it still ongoing, read it now!!!). Of course you can most fully appreciate this story if you've "been there, done that" - when the best and the dearest betrays, everything crumbles in a second and you are left in the ruins of the sandcastle you've built out of, as it turns out, thin air. You don't want to wake up in the morning - that's when Kyoko grabs you, pushes you forward and screams "You really think that's all there is? That's just the beginning. It's your life, only you decide what to do with it. And we are going forward". This heroine never leaves you bored, makes you proud for her, makes you cry for her and when she succeeds - you feel like your dream has come true too.

Skip Beat is as far away from a typical shoujo as physically possible, no dull and shy heroine, no one-dimensional main hero, no unrealistic love storylines - everything is developing steadily, you can feel all of the emotions, you understand everyone's reasoning and you LAUGH all the time.

This anime has only one disadvantage - it covers only the beginning of the manga (first 60-70 chapters, we are now approaching 300) and the visuals were not at their best in 2007-2008. But it's still amazing!

Watch Skip Beat, read Skip Beat, join the best fandom there is, you won't regret it <3

So underrated! 10/10
22 March 2020
I hate that Special A is so underrated, it's amazing! It's funny, it's smart and there are so many layers to the story. It's far better than Maid-sama people always compared it to (that's been crowned a classic by the community ignoring SA). I've rewatched it several times since 2010 and Yahiro still has a grasp on my heart.

I recommend it so much!

Pure sunshine (please read the original manga!)

"You brought color to my life"

I've been in love with this story since 2011 and first things first - the original manga is far superior, so please please go read it!!!

But anyway, anime did a great job, it is soooo beautiful, it's a ray of PURE SUNSHINE, literally a roll of happiness and harmony that slowly covers you head to toe, with amazing visuals and voice actors. It sends the most kind and self-reassuring message, all characters are captivating and the music is astounding - I've been listening to its openings and endings for years now. This is a story about real character development, about finding the strength to develop your own voice, to power through, to grasp the life you truly deserve - and never letting go of it. The story about pouring your heart out without expecting anything in return; of outgrowing a love that is detrimental; of distinguishing between what you really want and fleeting emotions; of learning the universal truth that it's all about the timing but if you have just enough luck left - you turn your head and see that your happiness is still waiting right beside you, while you've been looking the other way this whole time.

For those who know nothing about the plot: remember how everyone is scared of Sadako from The Ring? Now imagine Sadako is suddenly sitting in your classroom - silent, long dark hair, paralysing eye gaze, watering some poisonous plants in the school's backyard... But if you pay just enough attention you'll learn that's actually Sawako, whose name no one remembers, who's very shy, always nervous about doing something inconvenient, and has a habit of planting medical herbs. But no one has any idea... no one but the nice guy she helped on the first day - the actual center of attention. It's a universal understanding that they are from two different planets, Sawako knows that better than anyone, so how can they possibly approach each other even though they desperately want to? That's how it all begins.

You will laugh, you will cry, you will sit on the edge every time any character tries to reach another with the words that have been burning in their throat for weeks, you'll be over the moon seeing them finally smile - and you'll love every character, even those that a simple story would deem as "evil rivals". Everyone in this story is three dimensional, layered and powerful. Everyone has their own share of heartbreaking moments - and they are all so true to life, so beautiful, so familiar that your own heart skips a beat more and more with each episode. The title of your favourite character will most likely be reassigned several times throughout the series (and maaany times if you read the amazing original manga, for me it has finally settled on Ayane).

And if you ever feel lonely or sad, you can always go back to this story and remember that there is still hope and you can still feel all the emotions you thought were already lost for you.

Thank you, Kimi ni todoke, for always reminding me of how I felt when I was 15. I love you so much.

(P.S. Yanopin forever)

Lost count of the rewatches (but I still suggest you read the book)
21 March 2020
Timing is everything.

I've been a fan of "Where rainbows end" that the movie is based on since 2010 and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that someone's finally turning it into a movie. My relationship with it changed over time: on the first try I would've rated it a 7 because it departs from the book I adore sooooo much (why do that to Ruby and Greg?), on the third rewatch I thought okay maybe a 9 because the ending actually makes me much happier that the original, on the eeehm sixth review (I've lost count by now) I knew it's a 10/10 forever. That's because this movie is so life-asserting and hopeful - wouldn't you love to know that even after all the mistakes you've made and all the times you got the timing wrong, if you work on it, you can power through and get the happy ending you truly deserve. And actors are amazing, that's exactly how I pictured Alex! The music is great too.

All in all, I have no idea who would give this movie a negative review, it's great and you'll definitely love it!

Perfection
21 March 2020
This is a great movie to begin with if you're just starting your journey into anime. And no matter how many times you rewatch it afterwards, you'll notice something new. The plot is marvelous, the ending leaves you both heartbroken and happily hopeful, the characters are so so lovable. And after all this time, I still wish for a sequel though I know the very plot does not really leave room for it. "I'll be right here".

Time waits for no one, don't waste yours on skipping on this masterpiece.

the best Disney movie of ALL time
21 March 2020
I've been rewatching this movie for the past 20 years - I don't know how many times already. It pains me that it is so underrated, when it is the BEST movie Disney has ever made. It's so beautiful, character development is amazing, the villain is superb, the jokes are hilarious, the music is astounding, the ending first breaks your heart and then melts it right back together.

The ONLY thing that I don't like is that Meg isn't an official Disney princess, though her origin IS (the daughter of the king of Thebes), I don't get why they would do her dirty like that... Let's finally start a petition to clear this mess!

All in all, 1000000000/10 please watch Hercules

Not enough Kaworu - AGAIN
21 March 2020
I liked the third rebuild much more than the others, partly of course because Kaworu has been my favourite character since the original series came out. Though I don't like ALL of the plot points (not enough Kaworu), character development was amazing, I love how they did Asuka. This rebuild made me fall in love with the story all over again, and I'm very eager to see the fourth part. 10\10 from me.
