Haunted Mansion (2023)
Turn off your brains my peeps and BE WILLING
Guys... turn off your brains for a little bit and release the child within you to enjoy this film! Sure it isn't the best Disney has made but then again it's a cute family film we can all enjoy together. Just go watch it. I won't spoil it for y'all! All you have to know is that they did an amazing job at picking the costs and the costume design as well as the cinematography was great. I love how this was shot in New Orleans, Louisiana. The comedy was charming coming from the entire cast of characters as well as the dramatic elements they added about love and grief. It's a film to enjoy and you may even shed a tear from time to time. Enjoy it!!
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022)
Texas Chainsaw Snoozefest
CRAP CRAP... and should I say CRAP. As a horror junkie, I felt this movie would have had great potential on the big screen since it was made to be a direct sequel to the 1974 classic TCM. Unfortunately, this was not the case and it was more of a Gen Z induced nightmare. I mean I'm Gen Z myself... but I wouldn't want to be identified with these insufferable morons that can't even called characters. TCM is one of my favorite all time horror franchises and I gotta say even the least popular entry Texas Chainsaw 3D delivered. But boy oh boy this one was a real treat. The kills were a bore, the jump scares were lame, and our boy LF just dragged on like a big loaf. If you have the time to laugh for about 93 minutes, enjoy the comical relief because as far as horror goes, this entry was a travesty.
#Saraitda (2020)
I loved it lol!
Movie was awesome! Saw it on a list of WatchMojo on YouTube on the top 20 scariest movies on Netflix for 2022. Not scary at all though but really really funny and thoroughly enjoyable. Fast paced, great makeup effects, funny characters you can relate to, and eye candy from our female lead. But this idiot didn't kiss her at the end!!! Ughhh would've been great there for some chemistry to develop. That's why I knocked off a point but worth the watch!
The Batman (2022)
Great movie.... A little too dragged out though
Ok so let's just say that I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. I went with my mom and watched it (she's not as a big Batman fan as I am) and it was solid. I love the movie's take on the development of the Batman, its gloomy appearance, the characters (especially Zoë as Selina... she's so beautiful 😻), and the storyline.
HOWEVER
In my opinion, I think the movie was a little too dragged out with too much plot that could've been saved for a potential sequel. I also felt that there could've been a little more chemistry with some of the cast, but that was kind of missing too (cough cough Bruce and Selina) .
Also, what was up with the Riddler? Homeboy has got some breathing problems or something. Sounded a little too weird for me lolll. But anyways solid movie! Gets a 7/10 from me. Would love to see if a sequel would be released to patch up on some things aforementioned and for it not to be too long.
Together Together (2021)
A movie that had great potential... but failed to realize it towards the end
Brief summary: Matt is a straight single dude, striving to form a family of his own with a child and he quickly finds that opportunity to be granted when meeting the introverted, but charming Anna to be his surrogate. The two form an unlikely bond with each other despite having been estranged a bit in the beginning, but it all builds up many of the heartwarming moments they have within the film. Sounds peachy right?
Ok now, here's the deal: The movie was fantastic with its sentimental moments and corny cutesy jokes from our beloved leads... Up until the end!!! I have so many questions about what direction the writer/director Nikole Beckwith wanted to take with this movie after watching that unfulfilling ending. I mean, I stayed to see if there was any post credit scenes (which I usually don't) to fill in the gaps and just poof! Nothing. Only a brief post credit interview that some big movie theater proprietor and the two leads had along with the director, but still no questions were geared towards that ending.
Other than that, I did enjoy the movie for the most part (except that cliffhanger of an ending), but just like a previous review mentioned on here: If there's an uncut version of the film, I would definitely love to watch it because I think the audience at least in my humble opinion could use some answers.
Sell This House (2003)
Tanya is what makes the show worth it!
Funny thing is I discovered this show while doing cardio at the gym! It was playing in the overhead tv and while it seemed like your generic house hunting/selling program, Tanya (the host) caught my attention right away. Boy when I say she's a piece of eye candy, believe me <3!! I'm sure the program can be intriguing as well but let's be honest about the real reason we watch it! ;)
Girl on the Third Floor (2019)
Just no
I don't really know where Rotten Tomatoes gets off on rating this an 81% on their Tomatometer. This film was all sorts of awful. Makes no sense whatsoever and the actors were 🤢. The only good thing about it and that's why I gave it a 2 instead of a 1 is Sarah, who's major eye candy by the way and the actress did a decent job in playing her. I've honestly seen better B rated films.
