Ghost Whisperer: The One (2006)
Season 1, Episode 22
10/10
I watch the series for this one
7 October 2023
As someone before me said this is the best episode of the entire series. The first time I saw it I thought it was decent. I enjoy the show because it's kind of mindless and you don't have to stare at it and think. It's light and fun but this episode will draw you in. The spoiler at the end will blow your mind. I try not to guess Mysteries because that's part of the fun, but the reveal got me and I consider myself a sophisticated viewer. It's definitely one of the best episodes of the entire season. Fun effects, fun ghosts, great plot. The previous episode is deleted and so make sure you don't miss it.

Fun, great memories, entertaining
24 December 2022
I couldn't wait to see it. I even saved it for Christmas Day. Loved the Easter eggs, brought back great memories, loved the fact that Goose's kid is in the story. Didn't care for Jennifer Connelly, I thought there was a lack of chemistry. Absolutely adored the scene with Val Kilmer, I cried like a baby. It actually needed more flying. It was a little sappy, and even though I like that, they really poured it on thick. I don't care for Tom and his personal life but he makes a hell of a movie. John ham was perfect for the role. No politics, none of that distracting stuff where we pick sides or start being offended by anything. Just a good, solid, entertaining action movie with an old fashioned plot.. I admit I loved all the references to the first movie, it made it special for those of us who were crazy over it the first time. Not sure if it will mean as much to the new crowd. A good job. I wouldn't give it a 10 like most people have, it's missing something, but all in all a well-made movie to keep everybody interested in entertained.

Mannix: Time Out of Mind (1970)
Season 4, Episode 3

Okay Mannix but holy cow, the singer
7 December 2022
I literally had to stop and look up because the singer was so bad. She was screaming. I didn't know why she was screaming the song. I thought she was being dramatic, but then she did it again. A pretty girl, and they made her sing, holy cow.

A decent episode. Always fun when Peggy has old friend she's trying to help. Also fun to see a Martinez so young. Brock peters, from To Kill a Mockingbird was always a welcome character on lots of shows. He's a fighter, and the plot is thin, but it's typical satisfying Mannix stuff. The first half hour manix didn't even get punched or hurt. Pretty unusual for him.

I can't believe it's that bad
31 July 2022
I'm a sucker for an old anthology series, but this was unbelievably bad. And I'm easy to please, just looking for something to pass time on a sunday. I kept saying to myself, I can't believe it's this bad.

Fun but flawed
17 July 2022
It was okay, old concept they tried to modernize, recognizable faces, some parts interesting, others kind of lame. Immediately rolled my eyes when Catherine Bell said everybody knows the Atlantic is the deepest ocean in the world, along with mountains in the background when they were supposed to be in Miami, and they were watching the television station that started with a K, and then said it would take a full day to get to Fort Pierce. Sorry, maybe three hours. Just dumb stuff that's irritating. They had good ideas but it dragged.

Pretty bad
3 April 2022
I hate this in movies, but this was pretty lousy. Really poor. The thing that bothered me the most is that they kept pretending like it was Miami and it was obvious they were huge mountains in the background, along with all the Spanish building oh, you could see the Isla Verde airport sign. And then they faked the Islamorada Coast Guard Station with mountains in the background. It's stupid stuff like that that makes you mad when you were hoping for something good and you realize what a bad job they did I'm just about everything. I'm not sure what to think about John in this role.

Reacher (2022– )
5/10
Not really sure what I'm missing
4 February 2022
I was excited to watch this because of all the high reviews. I could not believe there was a 9.0 average on IMDb. A must-see. I sat through two episodes and scratched my head. Nothing personal, but Reacher is a dolt. Sure, I love seeing him take out bad guys, but he has zero personality. He's just a big, quiet Human Weapon. The the lines he spewed out were Silly and not believable. Something was missing. No personality. Just repeating script lines. I was not in all of him at all because it sounded like he was reading off the page. I didn't mind that he was an over muscled huge super hero type, even though I didn't think it was necessary, but most people say that is more true to the book. Don't kill me, but I preferred Tom Cruise in the original, mostly because of his sarcasm and wit, and intelligence. This guy just didn't have it. The story was slow and kind of Noir. I'd like a good murder mystery, but it was more like a He-Man, Hulk comes to town and saves the world story.

We won't mention that nobody had a Georgian accent, everybody was pale and white, because it was all made in Canada. I really wish they wouldn't have pretended it was Georgia.

This was more of a superhero type series instead of a thriller.

I guess I'm the only one who is disappointed in all those high ratings. I'm trying to make it to the end and I'm having a hard time.

Bosch (2014–2021)

Entertaining but bland
1 January 2022
I like Titus Welliver. I enjoyed the whole Detective bad boy thing. I love the downtrodden detective who is always in trouble and finds his way out. It seemed to me they really stretched this thing out. The plot was interesting but kind of convoluted. A little too noir for me. I didn't turn it off, I wanted to see the end, but I guessed the bad guys in the middle. The used strange places for shock value, and when it finally came down to facing the big killer, it happened so quickly, and it was such a letdown, I almost couldn't believe the guy was dead. I said to myself, hey must have on a vest, because that was too easy for him to die that way.

I liked Bosch, but the whole rich, ex FBI wife profiler thing was very strange and way too damn convenient. I think the writer thought he was giving us red herrings when in fact, it was just all over the map. Strange plot, enough to make me watch it through, but not sure if I'll keep going.

Starts real slow, but give it time
20 September 2021
I almost turned it off. First 20 minutes, I couldn't decide whether to keep watching. Real slow, but wait for it. It kept rolling a little faster and a little faster and I simply had to see it through since I had invested so much time. A lovely movie. Real heartwarming not to mention the love of astronomy in most of us. Low-budget, yes, but it doesn't matter. I feel good movie for all of us who ever had a dream.

Absolutely the worst
3 June 2021
I read all the other reviews and I laughed and laughed. Most people agree. This is the worst thing you have ever stopped to see. If you want to have a good laugh, definitely tune in. Utterly ridiculous.

It could have been amazing
30 December 2020
Something captivating about this movie, even though it is slow and prolonged. Wonderful cast, great start, but the whole thing turned around. It's worth watching as soon as Hong Chau enters the scene. She is incredible, and keeps you glued even though the movie fade away.

I had never seen ER
17 December 2020
Started watching reruns. I found myself waiting to turn it on every morning. Then I started binge-watching. I couldn't leave my chair try. I really grew to love Mark Greene, and I really had to take the hit on this episode. I cried for an hour. The music in the background didn't help. A great hour of TV

Funny for 8 year olds
10 December 2020
I watched this completely ready for a laugh. I did pageants for a while and I wanted to laugh at myself. Nothing funnier than an expose on pageantry. It seemed to me this was done by somebody in junior high school. Not funny at all. Silly, immature, poor humor. The worst part is that a dragged on for half an hour

You can't help liking her

I liked her in Rich crazy Asians. The show becomes addictive. She is hilarious and I hope she goes far. The show is quirky and mostly a barrel of laughs because of her
